At Argassi Beach, just 5 km's from the modern capital of Zakynthos island, and with a privileged position by the beach overlooking the blue Ionian Sea, lies 3 stars Mimoza Beach Hotel. With a history of nearly half a century , Mimoza Beach can offer the modern traveller the perfect scenery to relax accompanied with the traditional Greek hospitality and ideal natural beauty. At the same time and within short distance our guests find the lively and busy capital, Zakynthos Town with commercial shops and bars.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Good location. Nice breakfast. Bungalow nice although small - no place for clothes or toiletries in bathroom.
Staff were rude - particularly pool staff. The boy said he couldn't wait for the season to be over and everyone to go home and the girl tried to make us pay cash and doubled the cost of it compared to when we had paid card the day before, no doubt trying to pocket some herself.
Location is lovely, beach and breakfast great. Bungalow was nice but very small and no place to put your clothes. Bathroom very small, no space around it for toiletries.
We had to pay an extra 70 euros for tax, 70 for air con and 12 euros for the safe when we checked in.
The pool bar staff were terrible. They tried to make you pay cash and then double the cost to pocket it themselves. I bought 2 drinks and paid card one day, my husband went to buy the same drinks and pay cash and the amount was doubled. I had told him how much it was the day before so when he queried it, they said aw my mistake you are right and were very sheepish about it. The boy was particularly rude saying he couldn't wait for the season to be over and for everyone to go home.
I wouldn't go back because of this.
Location fantastic. The receptionist was very pleasant the price for the safe tax and air-con was more than expected .I must say I read reviews about this hotel before booking and I fully understand everyone's expectations are different. On booking for myself husband and granddaughter (13yrs) we decided on a triple bungerlow. I must add we haven't stayed in the hotel it's self . On arrival to the bungerlow we was taken back how old and dated this was dark and dismal the bathroom not spotless mould around shower screen toilet roll holder not fixed to wall correctly not enough hanging spaces for 3 person enough for maybe 2 persons at a push no sets of draws just 2 side tables . 2 of us lived out our cases. Breakfast ok always something to eat but nothing to shout about . We have stayed at other hotels (contessa Diana palace katherina & windmill ) just thought we would try something different but would i return to mimoza No .. On a plus side always plenty of sunbed around the pool & on the sea front .
Location is great,everything on your doorstep, the sea though no beach is clear warm and shallow, tavernas are fabulous
2nd trip to the mimoza beach hotel and stayed in one of the beachfront bungalows which are lovely and just a few steps from the sea, the overall atmosphere in the hotel is very relaxed. Rooms cleaned daily and towels changed, fridge in the room and no shortage of sunbeds / shady areas. The breakfast is very good and large selection of both cold and cooked items, the fresh OJ is lovely too. Staff are all very helpful and location is just off the main strip so lots of shops/restaurants nearby.
There is a pool bar but we found selection not brilliant and short opening hours the hotel does not serve food in the evenings due to there being so many restaurants in the vicinity.
We booked both our trips via booking.com and rooms were really good value inc breakfast. I believe that the hotel is currently used by a major UK tour operator and a couple of European tour operators. When inquiring about returning next year we were advised that a major UK tour operator has taken the entire allocation of bungalows for 2027 which is disappointing as takes away option of stays for independent travelers not wanting the 'package deal'.
