Average all inclusive with below average alcoholic beverages
Our fourth time visiting Alykanas and our first at an All Inclusive in this resort. We booked it because our favoured hotel (Alykanas Village) was more expensive than this one, was a no brainer to book all inc.
Fabulous location Pool is adequate For me the food was generally good, the occasional cold dish but I’ll eat a wide range of foods. My husband was disappointed with the desert choices. The room was clean and did the job (307) but as it’s on a ground floor passage way, it was noisy. Noise from staff talking loudly in the corridor or neighbours scraping chairs or parents not parenting. Nice 6am wake up the one morning to the sounds of the air hockey table…
Biggest negative for me is the alcoholic drinks. The cocktails are all pre mixed out of a machine, are pure sugar and if there’s alcohol in there, well I can’t find it. I resorted to buying my own bottle of rum and adding it to the lemonade. The wine is barely drinkable unless you add a splash of lemonade.
We have eaten and drank out more than we planned due to the poor alcohol choices and at times the poor entertainment (karaoke).
This holiday cost us £5k for 12 nights. This plus eating and drinking out equates to a very, very expensive holiday. Unfortunately, we have now been priced out of visiting again in school holidays.
Won’t visit again
The hotel was lovely and clean, very modern and perfect location, but there are some negatives.
There’s the typical race for sunbeds here unfortunately, unless you reserve beds with a towel before 7.30/8am you won’t get one despite there being signs saying it’s prohibited. Most of them that are reserved are left empty for hours on end aswell.
The pool opening times are 10.00-18.00 which sounds like a long time, but you aren’t able to go for a morning or evening swim which would be perfect for how hot it can get. The lifeguard is absolutely amazing with the children, he’s a credit to the pool area.
The rooms are lovely, but the aircon system is annoying, it only works when the doors are closed, and electric is cut off when you’re not in the room. The shower is more like a wet room and gets absolutely soaked on the floor. Beds are average.
The food is pretty average- felt like a school canteen. We ended up eating out a couple of nights to find nicer food. Food was usually warm, sometimes even cold and some meals we had weren’t very tasty at all. Some of the staff in the restaurant area were walking into people because they were on their phones, and you just didn’t feel very welcome at meal times. The snack bar where pizza and wraps etc are in the day was great! The icecream is a great idea, but you only get cones in the morning until they run out then they don’t top them up.
We were put up 2 flights of stairs with a pram and no lift access which wasn’t ideal so ended up hurting our backs every day carrying it up and down. We had a lovely holiday but I don’t think we’ll visit again, if you visit with 3 stars in mind you won’t be disappointed

Beautiful Location
We had a fantastic holiday here, the staff are so friendly. We were pleased with the size of the room and the housekeeping staff kept everything very clean. The food offering was delicious and varied, plates were removed promptly to avoid wasps etc. Our son absolutely loved the pool areas and the lifeguard was so good with the children. The hotel is on the beach front and the water is so shallow and clear. Perfect for families to swim safely. You can do various watersports and we spent some time near the harbour. There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants very close by for anything you may need. If you go in school holidays you will need to get to the pool area before 8am to get a sun bed but we are not obsessed with that and enjoyed being on the beach some of the time and hiring a car to visit friends in Kalamaki so everything worked well for us. There is a small playground and kids club that keeps the little ones happy too. We have rebooked for next year, see you then!
Lovely family holiday
Just come back from a week stay, we didn’t really have time to look into much about the hotel/location before we went as we booked on with some family member last minute, so we went into with no expectations but we actually found it great! The location was perfect, and we actually really enjoyed the all inclusive food, although we did find the buffet bit was abit small/tight so it can get quite crammed. I wouldn’t say the drinks was amazing but they never are in all inclusive resorts but it didn’t really bother us and we always had ones we did like. The bar staff do a great job!
We found the pool area lovely right next to the beach/sea and gorgeous views at night with the sun set. The life guard does a great job making sure all the children are playing safely.
It’s more of a chilled vibe and doesn’t have a lot of entertainment, but the girls who do the children’s club/disco are amazing with them.
We would definitely return if we ever went back to Zante.

really enjoyed our family holiday,
we recently went here with our daughter son . in law grandchildren, we had a lovely time, the food is amazing with the amount of people they have to feed, a large choice, something for everyone, some of the dishes are amazing i hope the people that own the hotel know how hard the staff work, in everything they do, they keep everything so clean! constantly tiding cleaning, the location is excelent, not far from the airport, and 3 steps to the beach, and the hotel keep their bit of beach clean, the atmosphere is friendly, rooms are good value, again we were looked after, entertainment at night, the bbq was good, only thing i would say is i think there is no need for the music to be so loud, another thing i would point out is, the outside pool toilets are kept clean,BUT the hand wash is far too high for children to reach, i had to help sometimes, i hope you sort this out because of the way everywhere is kept immaculate, food area scrubbed and scrubbed, it will be a shame if you have a out break of upset tummys like i say you properly havn"t relised,
