This is an environmentally-friendly hotel that cares greatly about sustainable growth that has a unique approach to hospitality located in Agios Sostis in Laganas Bay. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the 9 km sandy beach, one of the longest in the Mediterranean, and perfect for exploring the rest of Zakynthos. The place is also conveniently located for the town shopping centre (500 m.) and just 6 km from the airport.
The friendly staff will help guests to hire bicycles or rent a car to see the protected nesting turtles and visit the beautiful landscapes of this, the 3rd largest Ionian island. Otherwise visitors can just sit and relax by the pool and enjoy cold drinks and snacks. A home-made breakfast is provided with freshly-baked bread and cakes, free-range eggs, oranges and plenty of olive oil. Guest's special events are celebrated with a free bottle of wine.
Pamper yourself with on-site body treatments and facials. You can take advantage of recreational amenities such as a hot tub, a seasonal outdoor pool and bicycles to rent. This property also features complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and bike parking.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Had a lovely 4 day break. Family hotel, reception team fantastic, always happy to help n gave us excellent recommendations for a restaurant for dinner. Rooms clean, comfortable, swim up room was a bonus and enjoyed the relaxed vibe. Easy to walk to beach, bars, marina. Buffet breakfast, lunch n dinners were all good with plenty of variety.
A really nice and friendly hotel, staff very helpful, food excellent self-service plentyof choice, the perfect place if you need to unwind as a quite atmosphere, in the evening and in general entertainment quite good a little cold in evening as entertainment is outside by the pool. Pool is nice but the beach which is only 5 mins away is lovely and very sandy 😀 warm water and loads of bars and restaurants very close bye Overall I give castilli a 9/10 A very relaxed atmosphere.
Had a fantastic honeymoon. Incredibly hospitable hotel with personal attention. Free transfer from the airport. Daily turn-down service with small gifts and sweet cards. Spoiled with breakfast in bed and a bottle of bubbly. Room with a stunning sea view. Excellent housekeeping. All-inclusive package with a very extensive breakfast and a tasty lunch and dinner buffet. Live music every evening. And various activities during the day. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful in arranging boat trips, massages, car rentals, or bike rentals.
Owner Spiros is getting on in years but is always attentive and up for a chat.
Stunning island with crystal-clear water. Wonderful for snorkeling. Nice pool, garden with olive trees, and plenty of loungers.
There aren't many points for improvement. Small bathroom that floods quickly when showering, and a door that opens inwards isn't entirely safe. There is a sufficient selection of soft drinks, beer, and cocktails. However, the wine selection could be a bit wider. Available for a surcharge if necessary.
I have never felt so welcome in a hotel before. Actually, we didn't want to go home. Tip: book directly on the hotel website and not through a travel agency. That way you get an extra discount and are completely pampered.
Our 2nd visit which did not disappoint. The food here is excellent, especially the Greek night. Clientele is mainly over 50 and the entertainment is geared around that - low key. The staff and Spiros make this place special, nothing is too much trouble. We will be back next year , please never change.
We had an amazing holiday, relaxing and peaceful in our swim up room, which was only 25 steps to the bar through the garden. The food was wonderful and varied daily with a large selection, always with a chef “show cooking”. The owner, Mr Spiros was always sat in the reception area smiling and greeting his guests like family and helpful with any questions we had, he advised us of the best winery to visit (which was a fantastic day out), and he has a great hardworking team who went above and beyond to make our holiday special. There were daytime activities, we participated in Greek cooking which was fun and enjoyed the evening entertainment around the pool. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a relaxing hotel and I can’t wait to return for another visit.
