We loved the Gardenia Hotel! The hotel was super clean, rooms cleaned every day, location perfect (it's our favourite location in Perissa), 2 minute walk from the beach & restaurants, 2 minute walk from the main road/bars/restaurants. Beds were super comfortable, our room had a small balcony with table, chairs & clothes dryer, ample for 2 people. Breakfast was absolutely fine, basic but it's Greece! Selection of hot food (scrambled eggs, bacon, beans, hot dog type sausages, small cold selection. Plenty of restaurants offering cheap eats close by if you fancy something different. Snack bar by the pool serves food all day & is super reasonable! Toasties from 3 Euros, glass of wine 4 Euros. Plenty of space around the pool, good size, deep pool, plenty of sun loungers & tables/chairs. The staff were amazing! Special shout out to Alex & Mimi at the pool snack bar, both really lovely, welcoming & made everyone feel really special.
Absolutely loved the hotel and location pool was great as was the pool bar and staff fantastic rooms basic but the hotel is unbelievably clean throughout my only gripes was no brewing up gear in room and you pay to hire a kettle and the showers was tiny and had a old school curtain and at certain times of a evening no hot water and showers would not stay o n .but we have been told its under new a new manager mow so he nay well update certsin things
Fab little family run hotel 5 minutes from beach. Staff so friendly and helpful, rooms cleaned and towels changed every day. Bed was comfiest I have ever slept in and absoloutely huge. Only reason this is not a 5 star for us was the breakfast, same things every single day no variation at all. Be wary if thinking of taking kids as pool is very deep 🤔 Perissa beach is beautiful with amazing restaurants ❤️
We stayed here for a week as a family of 3. I’ll preface this by saying we got a really cheap deal on this hotel for August in the school holidays. Had I paid any more for this I might have been a bit gutted. The hotel itself is quite small but has a lot of potential. It needs a major refurb. Everything is worn and dated but it is very clean. Our room had a double bed and 2 single beds and was really spacious. We were self catering and had a kitchen sink, fridge and hot plate along with very basic utensils. We were in room 25 which is next to the cleaning facilities. We were woken up every morning super early. For the first few days we were awoken at around 5am. When we complained about it, the reception said that the cleaners didn’t start while 8am. From the following day, we didn’t hear anything until 7am. But even then it was very noisy. The tap is outside our room so we could hear a bucket being filled up and then all the swooshing sounds of the floors being mopped. The hotel is cleaned around the clock which is a good sign but if you aren’t an early riser, room 25 isn’t the best. This hotel does accept children but I wouldn’t class it as a family hotel at all. There’s never been more than 2-3 children here and i come to realise that the other guests were preferring a child free stay. The majority of people here were couples, although there was a hen party and a girl group here. We didn’t have breakfast so I can’t comment too much on that. from what I saw, it was basic continental. The pool area has a snack bar which I find really weirdly priced. Toasties are €2 and then you can add chips for a further €3 which is a good price. But then if you want just chips then that’s €5. Some stuff is super cheap and then others a bit more. Food is priced between €2-€15. Drinks prices are ok. Staff aren’t super friendly but they are fine. We hired a safe in reception but I can’t remember the cost. It may have been €10-20 for the week. The hotel is located 2 minutes to the road or about 5 minutes to the beach so I’d say it’s a really good location. Jet2 class this as a 2 star. Greece classes it as a 3 star. You pay tourist tax for the 3 star. It is definitely a 2 star.
If you’re looking for a no frills, cheap room to sleep then I’d recommend but don’t bring children here.
Our dubai hol was cancelled in July and the only place me n my daughter agreed was santorini as she's been everywhere else while working for BA. We booked jet2 package at a super cheap price and a free child we knew it was a low star and a no frills basic hotel. We arrived around lunch with the room ready. It was basic I mean basic but clean. Off we headed to the pool n got beds straight away. Only 1 other child who went the next day n another arrived.the food is super cheap around the pool we only had toasties n chips. Amenities are basic but location is fab. We had room 25 please don't ever ask for this as cleaners cupboard is next door and my god they are noisy very early.we did tell reception and it did quiet down a little from 7am shower was hit n miss powerful then not!!beds n towels done everyday. We ate in atlantis island, apollen twice ,acropolis twice, aqua and did charlenas greek night. All worth a visit especially greek night. We did irina bakery left up the road from the back Rd and right at end opposite sirrrocs italian is another bakery for excellent cheesecakes and cookies. Reception girl n man at night very helpful. We hired a safe at 1 euro a day. Supermarket on back Rd cheap and sell cat food to feed the homeless we bought a big bag.went to fira on bus lovely bakery next to McDonald's for good coffee and breakfast. If you get a super cheap deal I'd defo book .we paid 1200 for 3 of us . I absolutely want to book again next year with my other daughter aircon is great and free pool and shower is salt water be careful with kids . Its so central so clean but super super super 1980s old fashioned no frills enjoy !!!!
