We checked into the Antoperla Hotel on 4th September, our second visit to Perissa Santorini inside a year. The check in was faultless and friendly with a welcome drink. Our room was 108, near one of the pools, bar and breakfast area. The room was spacious, bed comfortable, A/C worked well as did the TV. The bathroom featured a step in shower with curtain across a window into the bedroom which we found an odd design feature. There is a kettle, a fridge, cups etc, and a large bottle of water. Dressing gowns, slippers, hairdryer in the bathroom (which was fairly useless according to my wife - she bought her own from home) Outside there’s a non-heated splash pool, which is cold! A couple of sun loungers and a fixed bench/table. The overall feel of the room was okay but definitely in need of some TLC. Clean enough, bedding, towels etc but the paintwork and bathroom are in dire need of a refresh. Note to the hotel: put some pads on the feet of the chair in the make up area of the room, the scrapping noise of the wooden legs against the tile floors can be heard in all adjacent rooms! Only one bottle of water, no tea or coffee in the room seems penny pinching IMO. The breakfast is good a mix of Greek & Western European food. The one very slow coffee machine is a bottle neck for guests. The juice machine is horrid! Food generally is very tasty and good, we had toasted sandwiches a couple of times by the pool, they were great. There is always spare sun loungers round the pools (there’s a second pool in the other part of the hotel) and the pool is refreshing. The hotel is a stones throw from the beach where there is a huge choice of bars and restaurants to choose from. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good hotel, needs some work in the very near future.
I thought we had booked a quiet hotel for a relaxing break but unfortunately this hotel plays very loud music at night at the pool bar. Unfortunately out suite is next to the pool bar so we went to reception to ask if we could move rooms, we were told we couldn’t because the hotel is full. The 4 drunk guests who were encouraging the bar staff to increase the volume again and again saw us go to reception and decided to spend the next 15 minutes shouting and singing in what can only be assumed a bid to annoy us. If you want a relaxing time do not stay here!
An excellent hotel, we were impressed by the architecture, impeccable rooms, cleanless, very friendly stuff (especially Cristina from Romania, but also the reception guy who helped us with the excursions). Very close to the sea, 2-3 minutes walk, with its own sunbeds on the beautiful black beach.
Wonderful hotel, perfect for a relaxing couples break. Rooms are l9vely, excellent pool area, great range of food at buffet breakfast (although not as hot as would like). Location is excellwnt - 2 minute walk to beach and resturants. Highly recommend.
We have just returned from a week at the Antoperla Luxury Hotel & Spa and were blown away. Everything was absolutely perfect from the moment we set foot on the property to when we checked out early this week.
It’s a bit hard to put it all into words but the staff were absolutely first class, very friendly, very engaging and nothing was too much trouble for them.
The whole place has a very relaxed vibe, we had a room with its own private pool and overall the facilities were great - comfortable bed, quality toiletries and no problem getting a sun lounger.
We had booked bed and breakfast and the quality of the buffet was excellent with a wide choice of foods whether your preference was a cooked or continental breakfast.
The hotel is less than five minutes from the beachfront, with a wide range of bars and restaurants to choose from. In addition we booked a trip on a catamaran which the hotel organised for us and what a fantastic day that was too.
Over the years we have travelled extensively and have never returned to the same place twice but we will make an exception here and will book to come back next year.
Well done to the hotel team they really made our week special.
