The Aegean Gem Hotel is located in the seaside village of Kamari, in Santorini. Consisting of three one-storey, traditional whitewashed dome buildings that house comfortable rooms and suites with outdoor hot tubs, it offers its guests a wonderful stay experience. In very close proximity to the famous Black beach of Santorini, Perivolos, choosing to stay at Aegean Gem Hotel on your Santorini holiday will provide you with privacy, traditional Cycladic island surroundings and 4 star facilities.
Take advantage of recreation opportunities such as an outdoor pool or take in the view from a terrace and a garden. Additional amenities at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and an arcade/games room.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We stayed for a week , although there were others staying , it’s a small hotel so it felt like we were the only ones there at times. The rooms were clean and comfortable, good shower and nice outdoor space with a hot tub. Nicholas helped us with bus time tables and organising a taxi to and from the airport. The welcome drink was nice , and breakfast with yoghurt , fruits and feta / spinach parcels was a great start to the day. 100m to the nearest and good restaurants, another 100m to a supermarket, for us a great location away from the main hustle and bustle but an easy walk to the main beach / shopping / restaurant areas.
This is a stunning hotel.
My partner and I have just returned after a week here.
From arrival to departure, Nikolas made us feel welcomed and considered. From offering advice on restaurants and places to visit, to helping hire quads and cars, he made our stay so relaxing and special!
The hotel is immaculate! Impeccable to be honest.
The rooms (we had the Grace suit with jacuzzi) have everything you need including coffee/tea facilities, a fridge and a hairdryer. Sheets were changed at least twice in our week and we had fresh towels everyday. They are beautifully designed and decorate too. Lovely touches as well with toiletries and vanity and shaving kits.
Breakfast has ample choice with the best Greek yogurt, pastries, warm food and cold meats. Fresh fruit always available too and it’s fine to take some for later!
The location is a 5 minute walk to the stunning black beach and there are lots of lovely restaurants nearby, plus a supermarket, car hires and gift/clothes shops. Also just a 5 minute walk to the bottom of the mountain and a 45 minute climb to the top!
The pool area has sun until 4/5pm but the pool is cold and it can be a little noisy with the road.
We would definitely recommend coming here.
Lovely little hotel. We had the Gem suite which was great for our 18 and 15 year old, with the jacuzzi on the spacious balcony, plus they ordered fresh pizza to the room which was delicious. Balcony had 2 sunbeds and chairs to relax. The suite had two separate rooms with a comfortable king-size bed, and the other room with 2 single beds. Perfect for our family. Nikolas is so helpful with anything you need and advice on where to visit. Rooms were absolutely spotless, cleaned every day. Shower was particularly good, powerful and good temperature. Aircon was brilliant and could be adjusted to suite. Breakfast had lots of choice from cooked eggs, bacon, sausage, beans. Also fresh pastries, hams, cheese fruit great yoghurt which was delicious. There is a short walk to restaurants and bars, personally I likes this after a meal. We did thw aunset catamaran trip with bbq and drinks this was excellent. Greek night at Dimitris was so much fun and well woth the money. I would recommend this lovely little place, thank you Nikolas for a wonderful holiday! Xxx
This hotel is spotlessly clean, the food is wonderful and the owners, Mary and Nicholas are helpful, generous, warm and kind. We had a wonderful holiday in Kamari - the room was lovely with a garden area and hot tub. The bedding and furniture were of very high quality.
The hotel is close to the bars and restaurants along the beach front but is in a very quiet location. It is also close to the bus stops, supermarket and bakery.
Nicholas was very helpful and knowledgeable, advising us of local transport links, potential trips and places of interest.
I cannot recommend this hotel enough. We cannot wait to go back!
Stayed here for 10 nights in early September and had a brilliant time. The hotel is genuinely family run and they do their best to make you feel welcome as their guests...nothing is too much trouble. The rooms and the hotel are kept very clean to a high standard, we had a room with a jacuzzi outside on the balcony and we absolutely loved chilling in there in the afternoon, would definitely recommend one of these rooms.
The location of the Aegean Gem is perfect, it is very quiet set just outside the main bars/restaurants area...so peaceful,. Just 3-4 minutes walk takes you to a supermarket and the start of the restaurant/bars but it feels like you are miles away from the hustle and bustle of Kamari when you return to the hotel.
We would definitely return to stay here on our next visit to Santorini, the location, the hosts and the jacuzzi rooms are perfect for us.
