- Rocabella Santorini Resort and Spa

Rocabella Santorini Hotel & Spa is set on the edge of the caldera in Imerovigli, offering some of the most spectacular views of the Aegean Sea and Santorini’s famous sunsets. The hotel sits in a peaceful location just a short drive from Fira, the island’s bustling capital, and about 15 minutes from Oia. Santorini Airport is around a 20-minute drive away.
The pleasant staff of Rocabella welcome guests with genuine warmth, making you feel instantly “at home”. The hotel offers a range of facilities and services that makes your stay a cherished holiday or an unforgettable honeymoon. Rocabella initiates the Santorini experience; in the hotel you'll feel the warmth of the Mediterranean sun at one of three swimming pools, you'll feel rejuvenated at the modern gym and refreshed in the exceptional spa. Enjoy the sunset with a glass of local wine or with your favorite cocktail along with regional and Mediterranean delicacies.
Each room and suite is stylishly decorated, featuring air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, a minibar, satellite TV, and a private balcony.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
“Private pool” was anything but private—and Expedia was no help We paid a premium through Expedia for a “Suite Caldera View with Outdoor Mini Private Pool,” expecting the secluded experience shown in the listing. What we received was materially different. Our plunge pool was directly beside the hotel’s communal pool and a busy guest walkway. Lounge chairs were only feet from our windows, guests continually passed directly in front of the suite, and people at the communal pool had unobstructed views into both our “private” pool and our room. None of this was disclosed or accurately shown in the listing photographs. We raised the issue immediately and were repeatedly told management would respond. Eventually, the hotel suggested that we should have requested an upper-floor suite if we wanted greater privacy. How were we supposed to request that when the listing never disclosed that the advertised “private” experience depended entirely on the room’s location? The suite also had ants, water intrusion and moisture damage, damaged cabinetry and window coverings, exposed electrical wiring in the closet, and obvious deferred maintenance—completely unacceptable for a supposedly premium room. Expedia was no better. Based on our experience, getting any meaningful resolution through Expedia is nearly impossible, even when the accommodations are demonstrably different from the listing and supported by photographs. My advice: do not book this property through Expedia. If you decide to stay here, book directly, obtain written confirmation of the exact room location and privacy level, and save screenshots of everything advertised. Beautiful marketing cannot compensate for a misleading listing, poor maintenance, dismissive customer service, and a booking platform that offers little practical help when things go wrong. We would never have booked this room had its actual layout been honestly disclosed.
I honestly cannot recommend Rocabella enough. ❤️ The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and impeccable, the views are breathtaking, and the food was delicious — but what made my stay truly unforgettable was the people. I have travelled quite a lot, but I don’t think I have ever been so impressed by the staff of a hotel. Everyone was incredibly warm, kind, genuine and welcoming. I was travelling alone, and from the moment I arrived, I felt so comfortable and cared for. It never felt like “just good service” — there was a genuine human warmth that made this stay very special to me. A very special thank you to Julia and Linda 🫶, who added so much to my experience, but truly, the entire team deserves recognition. Santorini was already beautiful, but the people at Rocabella helped turn this little solo trip into a memory I will carry with me for a very long time. I sincerely hope I get to return one day — next time perhaps with my children — to beautiful Santorini and Rocabella. ❤️ Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my stay so special.
The Rocabella in Santorini is nothing short of perfect. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. Our room was clean and anything we ever needed, the staff provided.
On our wedding day, it was the best experience we have ever had. No detail was missed and it felt like the staff went above and beyond to make our special day SPECIAL. We wish we could rewind the day and do it again. A special thanks to Katerina who planned our wedding day and exceeded our expectations
Overall, for anyone deciding on where to get married in Greece or where to stay for a vacation/holiday, the Rocabella in Santorini is 10/10.
Best location at Santorini. Great sunset view. Quiet and cozy spot. Friendly and helpful staff. Confortable large rooms with jacuzzi. Overall an unforgettable experience.
We stayed 5 nights at Rocabella in August with our family of 4 and cannot say enough wonderful things about this incredible property.
The views from our private plunge pool overlooking the caldera and volcano are simply unforgettable. Three pools with pool side bar with restaurant. We are vegetarians — The food was outstanding, with fresh Mediterranean flavors and excellent vegetarian options.
But what truly set Rocabella apart was the staff. From check-in to checkout, every single team member went above and beyond with warmth, professionalism and genuine hospitality that made us feel like family rather than guests.
Imerovigli is the perfect location — quiet, walkable, right on the caldera path to Skaros Rock and Oia. Rocabella sits at the heart of it all.
We created lifetime of memories and hope to back one day!
