This resort was the perfect place to go to for a family summer getaway. The animation team were so enthusiastic and there were so many different sports and games for any ages to get involved in. This resort has Everything you need and more!! Would definitely recommend.
My experience at blue sea beach resort was amazing the animation team were so friendly and welcoming to new guest and always got you included into all the activities. All staff were very friendly and welcoming never had any problems with the food or the staff at any point throughout the holiday. The food was always really nice and cooked fresh and I always enjoyed the themed food nights so you could try different cuisines so we never had a problem with any of the food. Lastly, the animation team are the best animation team we have ever experienced as they were always so joyful and full of energy which made our experience even better as it made our experience even better and even more enjoyable. Greg in part taught me how to French bowls properly and then even let me win by the end of the holiday and Greg always made the competitions very competitive but still fun so it was very enjoyable
Location was good, close to the airport after a late flight with a toddler, check in was a breeze. Got to the kids pool around 9/9:30am and we were the first there most days, which was great as we always had plenty of space. Kids pool could do with a bit of maintenance, however, our almost three year old loved it and it was a lovely sunny spot, with parasols for shade when needed. This area included the kid’s club which was a shady spot with nice activities planned. Food was hit and miss. Lunch at the beach bar was good, gyros was always yummy and ice creams always refreshing! Pizzas in main restaurant were lovely. Buffet had a varied selection, sometimes repeated and was never hot, which I’m putting down to being peak season! Drinks were decent, however pool bar service was often slow, with only one person serving most of the time, however, like previously stated I understand it’s peak season. We got the vibe that the hotel was understaffed as general maintenance (hallways, pools areas etc) wasn’t to usual standard of 4* for us. Room was good, served its purpose for the three of us. We pre-requested a travel cot, which was there on arrival as well as an extra bed in the room, so it was quite a squeeze. We promptly asked twice for the bed to be removed, given we had a pram and active toddler, we were told they were unable to rearrange the room. The beachfront location was lovely and we enjoyed the beach bar. The animation team were so friendly and enthusiastic which was refreshing. Greg, especially, made such an effort with us and our usually shy toddler really came out of his shell around him, sharing his love of Spider-Man! All of the animation team girls were fabulous, with boundless energy and lovely smiles, when I asked our toddler what his favourite part of the holiday was he said “I love the mini disco!” Overall, we had a nice holiday and would like to thank all of the staff for their hard work and hospitality.
Me and my boyfriend came here for our first holiday for a week the start of August.
Room:
We had a sea view room and it was lovely, the room was modern and clean, no complaints.
Staff:
We found that the barman at the bar by the pools is quite rude and blunt. A man who we met out there with his partner cut his foot open while getting out the pool. After going to different staff to try and find someone who can look after him, we came to the conclusion that they aren’t any first aid staff, one life guard who only had tissue and iodine. No plasters, they wasn’t even sold at the shop in the hotel.
Matilda who is part of the animations team was lovely and we felt that if we needed anything or to ask any questions she was the best to go to.
Pools:
There is a quieter pool and the main pool where all the activities are which was hosted everyday. There isn’t any fight to get sun beds. Obviously the normal put towels down earlier on for the better ones.
Food & Drinks:
We didn’t try the restaurants that were part of the hotel but we did go to the buffet. It’s very basic, nothing special. We only eat dinner in the hotel 2 nights out of the 7. Breakfast is okay again nothing special as well as the lunch at the beach bar. The coke tastes like water with a bit of sugar in it. The alcoholic drinks are very strong so be careful but they were nice.
Overall it was a nice holiday but we wouldn’t come again due to the food
AVOID! AVOID 🚫🚫🚫
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 7 nights and, honestly, it was the worst hotel we have ever stayed at.
The reception staff were not friendly at all. We did not feel welcome, and we had to find our way to the room by ourselves. It felt as if they were doing us a favour by having us there. This was not our first time in Greece, and thankfully, we have had much better experiences before.
To begin with, when we arrived in our room, there wasn’t even a bottle of water. We had to go to reception and ask for some. The next day, we went back to reception, and the person working there told us that water was not included in the hotel’s policy and that we would have to refill our bottle at the pool bar. Seriously?!
We also constantly had to ask for toilet paper, because if we relied on the staff to provide it, we would have been waiting forever.
Now for the main issue: the food! Oh my God, it was absolutely terrible. Well below average — tasteless, bland, and poorly prepared.
Breakfast was awful. The eggs were soaked in oil, the coffee was bad, and the scrambled eggs were so poor that I could barely even call them scrambled eggs. Terrible!
Dinner was always pork or chicken, and the side dishes were bad as well. The only food that was actually decent was at the beach bar, where they served burgers, gyros, and pita bread.
From the second day onwards, we simply couldn’t eat properly at the hotel anymore, so we ended up going to restaurants outside the hotel almost every day.
Another negative point is that the gym only opens at 10 a.m., which is terrible and very inconvenient.
The only positive things I can mention are the location, as the hotel is right by the sea, and the drinks, which were actually okay.
WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE!!
