This hotel boasts an incredibly convenient location as it lies in the heart of Rhodes. It is close to the old town where guests will find various shopping venues and entertainment opportunities. This fully air-conditioned establishment comprises a total of 200 rooms spread over 6 floors. Guests are welcomed in the lobby, where they will find the charming café and the bar. In addition, the on-site restaurant serves a vast variety of culinary delights. All air-conditioned accommodation units include an en-suite bathroom and Internet access. Guests are able to make use of the swimming pool located in the well-tended grounds.
Stayed at Mitsis La Vita but had lunch and dinner in the Petit palais by Mitsis. A great holiday. Staff at both hotels were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Hotels were lovely with spectacular views across the ocean to Turkey.

A wonderful first visit to Rhodes, made special by an exceptional team
We have just returned from our first ever visit to Rhodes and would happily stay at Canvas by Mitsis Petit Palais again.
The biggest asset this hotel has is its staff. Every single member of the team worked incredibly hard, always with a smile, and there was a genuine warmth and playful sense of humour that made us feel welcome throughout our stay.
A special mention has to go to Lewis on reception. From the moment we stepped through the doors, he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Within the first five minutes, we knew we had chosen the right hotel. His professionalism, friendliness and willingness to help really set the tone for the rest of our holiday.
The hotel itself is spotlessly clean, which is something we noticed every day. We understand a refurbishment is planned, and I think the timing is about right. While some areas would certainly benefit from modernisation, everything is exceptionally well maintained.
The location is another huge positive. It is around five minutes from the beach and only about ten minutes on foot to Rhodes Old Town, making it an ideal base for exploring.
One thing future guests should be aware of is the redevelopment of the neighbouring Grand Hotel. There was very little noise during the day and none at all during the evening, so it certainly didn’t spoil our holiday. However, it does create quite a bit of dust, and the outlook from the front facing rooms is not particularly attractive at the moment. If possible, I would recommend requesting a room away from the front of the hotel until the work is complete.
The food was excellent. There was plenty of choice, everything was well prepared and we really enjoyed our meals throughout the week. The only slight disappointment was the themed “Daily Special” menus. Throughout our stay we kept seeing boards advertising Greek, Mexican and Asian evenings outside the restaurant, but we never actually found any of those dishes available.
It was only on our final evening, when we arrived at the restaurant as it opened at 6.30 pm, that we realised these specials are only served during the first thirty minutes before being replaced with the standard buffet. We finally managed to try the Greek evening and the gyros were absolutely fantastic. We just wish we had known this earlier in the week, as we would definitely have planned our evenings differently to experience the other themed menus.
Overall, this hotel gave us a fantastic first impression of Rhodes. The people are what make it truly special, and they are a credit to the hotel. Thank you for making our first visit to this beautiful island such a memorable one.
We look forward to returning after the refurbishment is complete.

The food was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious dishes. Every meal offered something for everyone, and the quality of the ingredients was outstanding.
The service staff truly made our experience even better. Everyone was friendly, professional, attentive, and always willing to help with a smile.
A special thank you to Popi, who welcomed us every day with kindness and guided us to our table. Her warm smile, positive attitude, and genuine hospitality made us feel at home from the very first day. She is a wonderful person and a true asset to the hotel.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for great accommodation, delicious food, and exceptional service.
We had a wonderful nine-day holiday at Canvas by Mitsis in July 2026.
First and foremost, I would like to commend the staff. Every member of the team was exceptionally professional, caring, and welcoming. Any questions or requests we had were dealt with promptly, and they consistently went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. They are a real credit to the hotel, and I sincerely hope their hard work is recognised and rewarded.
The hotel delivers exactly what it promises. The rooms are comfortable, the beds are good, and the location is excellent. The Old Town is within easy walking distance, the beach is just a few minutes away, and there are plenty of restaurants, shops, and other amenities nearby.
The only significant concern during our stay was the large number of teenage groups staying at the hotel. We noticed a constant turnover of these groups throughout our holiday. On several nights, they returned between 3:00 and 4:30 a.m., often heavily intoxicated. Unfortunately, this resulted in shouting in the corridors, doors being slammed, and, on one occasion, an unpleasant response towards guests who politely asked them to keep the noise down during the early hours of the morning.
The behaviour around the swimming pool was also disappointing at times. Large groups would occupy most of the pool area and play football by kicking balls across and into the pool, occasionally causing disruption to other guests who were simply trying to relax.
I appreciate that the hotel cannot control every guest's behaviour. However, clearer enforcement of quiet hours and pool etiquette would greatly improve the experience for everyone.
Without appropriate management of these issues, families, older guests, and those seeking a peaceful and relaxing holiday may choose to stay elsewhere. That would be a real shame, as the hotel has many excellent qualities and, thanks to its outstanding staff and prime location, has the potential to offer an exceptional experience for all guests.
