Terrible experience staying here as I write this only into my 2nd night. They are playing loud concerts till 11pm which is hardly ideal for a young family. The hotel is absolutely old and the pool /outside minging- hardly any sockets, WiFi is slow. Absolutely got catfished online about the pool area- it’s tiny too and full of weird smoking men.
Worst of all the walls are so thin and there’s no noise suppression in the rooms or corridors- people closing doors or conversations can be heard.
Only redeeming features are the food is okay and the inside is kept clean.
Hard avoid .
Absolutely amazing time staying here, staff were incredible, very friendly and all went above and beyond to help. Honourable mention to Aldo, the bar staff and the gentleman on night shift who really put in the effort to make our stay more easy and comfortable.

Unfortunately, our stay at Mitsis Petit Palais in Rhodes was very disappointing, particularly when it came to cleanliness and the general standard of the hotel.
During our stay, I witnessed a cleaner cleaning the stair handrail using water from the mop bucket. This was particularly concerning as we were told by reception that there had been an “issue” within the hotel relating to sickness and diarrhoea. Unfortunately, all of our party ended up suffering with the same issue, which was extremely disappointing and had a huge impact on our holiday.
What concerned me further was what I witnessed in the restaurant/dining area. The waiters were serving water while wearing the same gloves they had been using to clear and clean tables and handle food waste, without changing them between tasks. Given that we had already been told about the “issue” in the hotel, I found this particularly concerning. You would expect much stricter hygiene procedures to be followed, especially during a situation where good hygiene practices should be a priority.
The general standard of cleanliness and maintenance was also not what I would expect from a 4-star hotel. The flooring was particularly disappointing, with areas that were damaged, cracked, lifting and showing gaps between the flooring. Nevertheless the CCTV being removed. Some of the edges also looked poorly finished. The seating also had visible staining which was in the dining area and the lobby/reception. I have attached the photos.
The pool area was another disappointment. The umbrellas are fixed, meaning you don’t really have the choice of sitting in the sun or moving into the shade when you want to. The pool wasn’t the cleanest. This was inconvenient, especially when spending time around the pool. I also witnessed the waiters dunking the plastic glasses in just running water without cleaning to standards or disinfecting them and serving drinks - again giving the “issue” in the hotel I was disgusted.
We also weren’t made aware by the provider that this is essentially a city hotel/“city stopper” I keep reading. This should have been made much clearer when booking, as it wasn’t what we were expecting when booking for an all inclusive hotel.
The room also had a lack of electrical sockets, making it difficult to charge or use multiple electrical items. For a 4-star hotel, I would expect there to be adequate access to plug sockets.
Overall, I would not personally rate this as a 4-star hotel based on our experience. The cleanliness, hygiene practices, condition of the flooring, general maintenance and facilities were below the standard I would expect from a 4-star property.
The fact that every member of our party became unwell made the experience even more disappointing. I appreciate that illness can happen on holiday and I cannot say what specifically caused it, but witnessing the hygiene practices in the hotel certainly did not give us confidence. Staffing weren’t overall helpful or approachable at times but not all.
Given the rating and price of the hotel, we expected a much higher standard and unfortunately would not choose to stay here again.
