The four-star Mitsis La Vita Beach Hotel is a warm beachfront city hotel in the city of Rhodes, next to the aquarium. Besides its ideal location, the hotel promises moments of relaxation, both in its 126 comfortable and beautifully decorated rooms as well as in its public spaces. The hotel offers a variety of activities and leisure choices for unforgettable holidays on the island of the Knights, as well as a series of water sports, such as water ski, jet-ski, banana boat, parasailing, pedal boats and canoes, rings, windsurfing, catamaran sailing, diving and boat trips.
Take advantage of recreation opportunities such as an outdoor pool or take in the view from a terrace and a garden. Additional features at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, babysitting (surcharge) and a reception hall.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Despite the hard work of the wonderful hotel staff this was a huge disappointment. We arrived at about 1am and were greeted at receprion then directed to our room. Small really doesn't cover it. It was above the kitchen which began preparing breakfast very early, there were strange rumbling and water sounds all night. The balcony (with side sea view) overlooked a similar balcony on the hotel nextdoor. The sea view could only be glimpsed by leaning out over the bacony and twisting. Being so close to the next building and only on the first floot it felt dark and oppressive. We did not unpack and, early next morning, we went to speak to the reception staff. They agreed to try to move us which they achieved by 2pm. The room was an improvement although the bath/shower room was even smaller and actually closing the door involved almost gymnastic contortions. (Luckily neither of us is on the 'large side') Breakfast selection was quite wide but the quality was poor. There were excellent individually made crepes which we survived on for the whole week. The coffee was undrinkable and the juice was more like squash. The pool, like the bedrooms is much smaller than ohotos suggest and right beside a busy road. We were advised of the building work right opposite the hotel and were prepared for that. The new complex, due to open in 2027, is massive. All in all a very disappointing stay. Only the cheerful, polite, helpul staff saved this hotel from receiving the very lowest score. It is officially rated a 4 star hotel but is very far from that!
The location was good, on a busy road but you are in town, and right opposite a building site, we had a large room which opened to both of these but we weren’t in the room in the day and by the time we were, the site had closed and the traffic was light. free safe, tea and coffee Free sun beds on the beach opposite, be quick! short walk to the harbour and old town and the shopping centre in town was huge. The pool was small and cold and could do with someone keeping it clean, the water was cloudy had scum/oil on top with cigarette butts floating. The food was bland and tasteless, i have read some reviews that have said it was delicious!! it wasn’t. my husband had vomiting and diarrhoea and we have since found out there is a gastrointestinal bug on the island. All staff were lovely and helpful but we felt the hotel was more a 2* then a 4* we wouldn’t stay here again.
The hotel has a good location close to the old town (20 mins walk) and beach (2 mins) and also close to restaurants/bars in the immediate area. On arrival, and as a family, we were allocated our three rooms close together. However, our room was less than ideal and the reception team was great in allocating an alternate - albeit on a different floor. Disappointingly, there were a number of negatives about the hotel: 1. The bathrooms (in two of our rooms) were extremely small; 2. Dinner (we had booked half board) had to be taken at the sister hotel about 100m away (we were not aware of this until arrival); 3. Breakfast (for us) was a little limited; 4. The view from the side sea view rooms on the lower floors was extremely limited. Overall, the hotel is clean and all staff are extremely friendly (particularly Mary/Molly in reception, and also the ladies in the bar). The hotel is not a 4*, maybe a 3* at best.

The hotel is well situated for both the beach and Rhodes Old Town. The staff especially Mary and Mallon on reception were very helpful with information and any of our other needs. The hotel room was very clean and the cleaner was exceptional, in changing our bedding and towels. As we were half board we had to go to the sister hotel Mitsis Petite Palais hotel a short distant away. The only negatives to our holiday was the construction site opposite the hotel so we moved rooms, the bathroom was quite small and the fact that we were ill with food poisoning which also affected a few of the other guests. Overall we enjoyed our stay and as it was our 57th Wedding Anniversary they surprised us with a cake and a bottle of wine. Thank you all Mitsis La Vita staff.
