The four-star Mitsis La Vita Beach Hotel is a warm beachfront city hotel in the city of Rhodes, next to the aquarium. Besides its ideal location, the hotel promises moments of relaxation, both in its 126 comfortable and beautifully decorated rooms as well as in its public spaces. The hotel offers a variety of activities and leisure choices for unforgettable holidays on the island of the Knights, as well as a series of water sports, such as water ski, jet-ski, banana boat, parasailing, pedal boats and canoes, rings, windsurfing, catamaran sailing, diving and boat trips.
Take advantage of recreation opportunities such as an outdoor pool or take in the view from a terrace and a garden. Additional features at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, babysitting (surcharge) and a reception hall.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
What a wonderful place to stay the staff were fantastic and very helpful. Breakfast was very nice. I really enjoyed it. They made you really welcome when you come into the hotel.
2nd time visiting the hotel and we were aware of the renovations opposite from our last visit before booking but this time we didn't have a beach facing room (313) and the general street noise from traffic combined with the continued building opposite didn't really make for a relaxing holiday. The staff were as before very helpful and accommodating and the rooms clean, although starting to look a bit dated and a very small bathroom. We also both suffered from a gastro-intestinal issue during our stay which does seem to be a common problem generally across the island on reading general reviews during recent months. The breakfast offering was small but adequate. While the holiday was enjoyable we would need to carefully consider booking this hotel again in future due to the associated noise, particularly when considering that the price paid wasn't cheap - but appreciate a lot of the problems aren't due to the fault of the hotel staff who were super helpful and friendly.
Overall, our stay at Mitsis La Vista was average. We found the hotel to be functional (good aircon and shower pressure) but quite dated with small rooms that lacked space and also facilities such as full length mirrors. The hotel is facing the construction of a new hotel and although did not post huge noise issues because most of the structural work was done, given it is a Mitsis development I would’ve thought some agreement would have been made to not shoot rubbish from the top of the complex down tubes at 8am in the morning to disturb guests. Our room, 413, was meant to be a ‘lateral sea view’, however, given the huge bollard between rooms, we couldn’t actually see the sea at all. The walls in the hotel are paper thin - we were overlooking the main road and it was extremely noisy with vehicles, people, bottle smashing etc. we had to purchase some earplugs to be able to sleep. This probably also wasn’t helped by the fact our balcony door did not shut/lock properly. We could also hear noise from within the hotel - scraping of chairs/beds, slamming of doors and people just being generally noisy. The breakfast was average, the fruit most days was brown and mushy, making it barely editable.
The pool area was nice and it was a plus that there was a section of the beach included so you could go on the beach free of charge.
Overall, the stay was pleasant but on the basis of the noise, small dated rooms and lack of breakfast options, we would not return.
