This modern All Inclusive City Hotel is located on the outskirts of the old medieval town of Rhodes, called the Town of Knights. The beach and the city centre with its shops, restaurants and bars can be reached within 15 minutes walking. The ancient stadium and the acropolis are also in the immediate vicinity. The hotel features 141 suites and a 24-hour reception, WIFI, bar, outdoor pool, mini-market and free on-site parking.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The reception team was really friendly from the moment we arrived during the night with waiters doing the very best job they couldn’t do enough for you and was very friendly and helpful the bar staff was very welcoming and friendly and did a great job we had the most lovely cleaning for room 105 who was so kind welcoming friendly and couldn’t do enough for you and was very trustworthy. Check in was slightly confusing for some who can work the internet great however the reception team was very helpful with this check out was the easiest just had to give back the key card and say you was checking out. The hotel was very clean both inside and outside the lifeguard was changing some dirty poolside equipment but that effected nothing the waiters also ensured pool side area was clean which was also cleaned early in the day by the cleaners. The room was equipped with bathroom which was very clean and good size the door had no lock and was just tinted glass but no air freshener which let that down the bedroom was fairly ok could have more storage and you could separate the double bed the balcony had no privacy from the poolside from our ground floor apartment tho. There was many shops near by and tourists attractions and beaches all 5-15 minutes walk cab fair roughly 10:50€ which the reception can book for you. There was hardly any noise from outside areas one bad thing was drilling during our stay there was works being done early in the mornings which wasn’t the best. Greek style evening entertainment and the lobby was normal people sitting around. The trip did feel worth it overall good taste of food and amount of food and drinks the reception team gave water bottles when asked so very worth it. I would recommend it depending on what type of entertainment your looking for. No extras just the tourist tax that we knew about already.
So glad we ignored the negative reviews on here! Just back from 5 nights at Castellum Suites and we absolutely loved it - perfect for what we were looking for! This is our 3rd visit to Rhodes, but the first as a non resort style holiday. Room was great, and all super clean and well stocked. Staff all lovely. Food was bloody lush and I had the best stifado of my life one night. Varied and plentiful and so tasty. Table service for drinks throughout dinner too, which I dont think weve had an an all inclusive before - usually need to go to the bar or self serve. We hardly drank there as we weren't around much, but the ones we did try were loveky, especially the Tom Collins. We only did the pool area for about 10 minutes as the was the only thing that wasn't great, but we were mainly using the hotel as a base so weren't bothered. Individuals using the sofas as Individual beds, so not enough room for everyone when we poked our heads out a couple of times. We had breakfast there every day, then went off exploring all day (walked 65 miles in 5 days 🤣) and came back for a later dinner. We were planning on eating out more, but the food was so good, we did all but one dinner there! Didn't bother with a late check out, and glad we didn't as they had a private huge double bathroom you could book for free for half a hour to shower etc... in So an absolute bargain and worth recommending for anyone looking for a non pool/resort based holiday. Location is perfect too as its only a few minutes walk from the old town. 💯 recommend x
My parents and me spent a fantastic week at this hotel. The room was okay, the pool is not too big but enough, the best thing is clearly the all inclusive! The food was delicious and varied. The staff is professional, they brouht beverages and watermelon to my old parents without asking while they rested by the pool. Thank you Castellum! :)
I am an older woman and I was on holiday alone but I had a lovely experience. They say Greek people are sweet and this is true. Every member of the hotel greeted you with genuine warmth. The food was excellent and different every day, I tried all the Greek and meat dishes. Continental breakfast was good but the cooked breakfast needs to be improved. Tinned fruit but also fresh fruit, nice yogurt. The desserts and ice cream (that you can add toppings to) were amazing. Air con was excellent, although I couldn't get it to work on my last day. When you arrived back from a long walk or a trip there was water and orange juice in reception which was very much appreciated. It is in a city so most hotels have no view or city view and I was very happy with my view of the pool and the shade because it was around 36 degrees at midday in June. The first couple of nights the guests were very noisy during the night and at the pool. Then they must have left as it was better. I arrived at 11pm grumpy and made a video of the room for UT and was not happy at first, but next day I realised it was lovely. 2 bottles of water in the noisy fridge and tea and coffee,, olive oil shampoo & shower gel. The shower goes hot, cold, hot but that was ok. You had to pay a deposit for the pool towel but I didn't bother because it was too hot to sunbathe and the pool did not have zero entry which I now need at my age. The pool furniture was very hot to touch. The hotel was very clean. I watched a little football and a film on tv in English. Gate d'Amboise is the NEAREST gate (tip: screen shot google maps route because trying to get to Elle beach is difficult). I also used Athanasios Gate. And when I went on a trip they wanted me to walk to Rhodes Horizon resort which was uphill and 20 min walk so I sent a whats app msg to ask if I could be picked up at Rodos Hotel (6m walk from Castellum which is not on the road the buses use). Trip 1 (Kamiros, Embonas, Kallithea). Trip 2 Lindos. The hop on bus was fully booked however, I was able to walk to Rhodes temple and stadium (toilets in a wall near the road and a cafe has toilets) when you get to the top of the hill the view down to Ixia, Marmaris, Aegean Sea is the most beautiful I have ever seen. City toilets (you need 50 cents). They are nice and clean. Tip: I went on holiday with a travel card but I should have taken some euros. I had a great holiday. I have never been able to afford 5 star so this hotel was great IMO. I had a double room and I think they have bigger suites too.
