This modern, luxurious resort is located in Ixia on the island of Rhodes, 200 metres from the pebble beach and turquoise water of the Mediterranean Sea. This review is purely for the staff at the hotel, I will do another review about the hotel in general. A huge thank you to Dimitroi who was amazing and very attentive in the restaurant - she made our meal experience fantastic. 5 stars for her service and kindness.
The Hotel was clean, and the facilities were good. The Chefs Mikhalis and Yohan, were exceptional and went the extra mile, to prepare special dishes ,for my wife, who did not eat meat, fish, eggs and mushroom. Maria and Mary at the reception, were professional, courteous and genuinely friendly. They responded to requests promptly. The Manager deserves mention, as he always arrived early and left late everyday, ensuring all departments ran smoothly and efficiently. Guests return to this hotel, because of these team members and I would suggest they deserve a well earned increase in their salary. Dr.Rajan MBBS,MS,FRCS(Ed),FRCS(Gen).
Just had a fantastic relaxing 10 nights at the Atrium Platinum in Ixia, Rhodes. Nothing is too much trouble for Apostolos, the excellent manager and his superb, highly professional team with special mention to christovalantis in the pool rotunda bar. The food cannot be faulted in all of the restaurants including the buffet and the exquisite Porfyra a la carte gourmet restaurant. We went all inclusive which is well worth the extra with access to all 4 of the a la carte restaurants at lunch and dinner although the buffet was excellent too and the choices were difficult plus a very good selection of drinks. The pool and pool area is large with ample sunbeds and the rotunda bar is a really good place to take a break from the sun or have a light lunch. I can't praise this place enough. A short distance from historic Rhodes old town which is well worth a visit especially at night courtesy of the free minibus tjere and back (a small charge if not all inclusive). We returned to Atrium Platinum having enjoyed a wonderful experience our first time visiting. We had high expectations and they were not only met but surpassed completely.
We stayed in a Double Deluxe room with balcony and a ‘lateral’ sea view. The room was lovely — well decorated, comfortable and clean and spacious enough for the two of us. We noted a lot of wardrobe/storage space which is good.
We were warmly greeted by the team at Reception on arrival and escorted to our room by a bellboy named Mike, who gave us the lay of the land. It was mostly familiar from our previous stay but good to be reminded of where to go to access the elevator that brings you to the pool and spa, etc.
One of the things I recalled from our first stay was the superior standard of customer service the hotel offers. We were not disappointed to learn this remained the case! We’d typically visit Chromata, the bar by the hotel’s lobby, for an aperitif and for a couple of drinks after dinner while the entertainment was being staged. Our first visit set the tone for the rest of our stay with the charming Konstantinos greeting us warmly on entry and the wonderful Christina serving up sublime kir royales and Atrium Fizz cocktails. She was a joy to speak to every evening! They were joined by Christos, Nikolaos, Terezia and Almpi — plus the superb Julien! — all of whom made every effort to ensure we had a great experience.
Dining at Atrium Platinum is top drawer. The food is of an impeccably high standard and at Archipelagos there’s a broad selection available. Service again was exceptionally good: Fotios, Stamatis and Paschalis all ensured we had the best experience possible. Paschalis gets a special mention for recommending the Chateau Nico Lazaridi rosé, which is a beautiful semi-dry wine from Drama in Northern Greece. We pretty much had it every day! He was also very engaging to chat to and always in great spirits. We tended to alternate between Elia and Tramonto for lunch. Petra, Litsa and a young gentleman colleague of theirs (whose name we didn’t manage to note) always made every effort to deliver the best possible service. And the food! Out of this world — highly recommend the lamb chops and the gyros!
We had dinner at Koi and Porfyra one night each. They pull out all the stops to ensure you have a sublime experience. Both were faultless! Thank you to Kostas, Marios and Dimitra! My husband had the lobster and loved it. I have a nut allergy and they were super accommodating.
The entertainment at Chromata offered variety. Encore, a rock band, were especially good with powerful vocals from the lead singer. They even got us up dancing!
The pool area is kept immaculately clean and tidy and kudos to the staff working at the pool who cheerfully drop off drinks and snacks throughout the day while we’re all busy relaxing. Kudos also to the housekeeping team who do tremendous work (especially Aida, Alenca, Ersida and Klaudia) in servicing the rooms.
We were anxious heading back in case our experience second time around would be in some way lesser but we were not disappointed! If anything, it was better than ever and we are actively thinking of returning at some point in the near future.
The hotel just amazing and clean .congrats to the housekeeping manager . Klaudio Anna and Maria are the best. Food is excellent and restaurant al cart are amazing .ALL DESERVE 5
