We stayed here for a week.From the minute we arrived the staff were so friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much to ask. Our rooms were extremely clean , the cleaners did a brilliant job every single day. The location is better than I expected, everything is walking distance, lots of bars, restaurants, shops nearby and the local beach is lovely! The hotel has a perfect chilled atmosphere, they mentioned they were at full capacity when we arrived however there was always available sunbeds and the pool never felt overcrowded. The pool itself is kept very clean! The reviews regarding the food I found to be true. The breakfast was great every day, options for cooked breakfast or pastries etc. The lunch and dinner was not great at all, we ended up eating out everyday for dinner. The food was almost the same most days and a very small dessert option. That being said the snack bar was good and the unlimited iced coffee was my favourite. I would definitely recommend staying at the White Olive , we have left feeling happy and relaxed after a lovely week. Also the view from the pool bar area is beautiful and was great to wake up to every morning!
Have just checked out of this lovely hotel,after spending one week with my grown up daughter. We had booked a twin but as only doubles were available, they then put us into a triple room..double bed and a single. The room was spacious enough with plenty of cupboards,a wardrobe and a room safe. The bathroom was good no problems with the nice shower and a hairdryer. The room had a balcony with a lovely sea view. It was immaculately clean and everyday cleaned with fresh towels and sheets. The beds were really comfortable and I slept so well. We were on the top floor so had pretty steep stairs,I managed ok and a member of staff did help us take our bags to the room.
Food was ok, the fresh fruit and salads were great but the hot meals could have been nicer and warmer, however a lot of the meat was tasty though proper bacon and sausages at breakfast would have been lovely! There was a wide selection at sll meals though. Drinks were tasty and iced lattes and gin fizz from the pool bar were our favourite. The snack bar could have been a bit better as well, we thought the chips tastes a bit stale but there was sandwiches and fresh fruit again and ice cream.
Entertainment wasn't brilliant so think some work could be done on that!
The pool was lovely and clean with communal lilos and balls. Were a few ants around but that can't be helped!
The staff were outstanding and couldn't be more friendly or helpful. I would definitely stay here again as all in all an excellent hotel and near the beach and bars in pefkos.
White Olive is located just a short walk away from the centre of Pefkos with it many restaurants, bars and shops and similarly short walk away from the beach. The vibe is relaxed with fairly relaxing and quiet pool area. A karaoke and pop music night from 9-11pm are as lively as it gets, so no noise issues. The rooms are fine, with a few signs of age in the bathrooms, good aircon and free safe are included. The rooms and all areas are immaculately cleaned daily and staff in all areas of the hotel are great. The food here is via self serve buffet and is really good with staff clearing and cleaning throughout services. Loved our stay at the White Olive and thoroughly recommend staying here for a relaxing break.
This hotel was incredible (minus the food, which wasn’t the best, glad to hear it’s having an upgrade) please just give us normal chips 😂HOWEVER Semi was amazing! He is a credit to your team. Always so welcoming and friendly & all the staff were amazing! Will defo visit again soon!! ❤️
Location was good and staff were all excellent. I wouldn’t not rate it a 4* though. The food was ok but if you have kids it would be a real struggle to eat. Not really kid friendly day or night in the restaurant. They have food at the pool bar which is put out fresh then just left most of the day to the point it’s all hard and the burger and hot dog rolls are like a crisp and chips all soggy and horrible. I think they should just do make to order there to avoid this as people weren’t eating it. All the drinks were watered down. I have a few wines and normally steaming but I could drink it all day and felt fine. The atmosphere around the pool was just flat. Just music you could barely hear when it was on and when it was on it was just really chill would normally be ok but like I said was quiet and barely on. We paid £1600 for two people for this holiday and I think it’s a rip off personally. The gym was terrible. Just one bike and one treadmill. And a little multi gym which again ok if you use that type of thing but there was no free weights or anything. Really disappointed. The showers in the room were so bad you had to wait 10+ minutes for the walk to start even coming through and it would have been quicker for me to wash my hair under the rain. I heard everyone complaining about it. I would rate it as a 3* max to be honest and def not for kids unless they are babies. Cleaners were lovely but didn’t always change out towels as they didn’t come in every day we had to keep asking for t bags and sugar as they weren’t replenished either . We thought we were getting something completely different to what we actually got and it’s gutting as we usually just wing it and I’m not being a ‘Karen’ as I never moan about things as long as it’s clean I don’t care where I stay but like I said we thought we would have a bit of luxury this time but didn’t get it
