This is located on a hillside of lush pine trees. The hotel sets the benchmark in comfort with spectacular views of the mountains and the Aegean Sea in the southern part of the island of Rhodes in Pefkos, Greece. The luxurious complex is located just 250 meters from the picturesque beach and 30 meters from the nearest supermarket. Staying in Pefkos can admire the deep blue as lovers of ancient monuments will be impressed from Lindos with its famous Acropolis, which is about 10 minutes by bus or 5 minutes by taxi from the main square of the village and at 41.3 kilometres from Rhodes Diagoras International Airport around 45 minutes by car. The area around is covered by several restaurants and bars and Greek taverns. The resort with its modern designed rooms and suites is where comfort and friendly service delight couples and families seeking a relaxed holiday atmosphere. All rooms feature a balcony from where guests can admire the crystal clear waters and a stunning landscape. All rooms are elegantly appointed with modern facilities including a private bathroom and a hair dryer.
Take advantage of recreation opportunities such as a seasonal outdoor pool or take in the view from a rooftop terrace and a garden. This hotel also features complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and a television in a common area. Getting to the surf and sand is a breeze with the complimentary beach shuttle.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Awful experience. No water on 5 occasions! I went to discuss with reception who stated it’s the whole of Pefkos which was not true as we had come for a wedding and we had many friends in differing hotels with the ability to shower. The reception was not helpful, we were told no manager available. The breakfast was ok ish until we used the fresh juice machine which gave an ant infested drink. Kettle no cups. The stale smell in room was awful. The pungent smell from the bathroom made us feel nauseous. The daily cleaning team were friendly and changed bedding daily. The breakfast support team were really nice. Toilet did not flush on many occasions. It’s strange that love holidays have not asked us to review I am sure they know the issues and continue to display Eagles Nest as a 4 star. It is most definitely not. Book if you’re not too bothered about showering.
I’m not one to leave reviews but this “hotel” was one of a kind
It’s generous giving it 1 star… if I could, I’d give it a 0 and even that’s being kind
We are absolutely disgusted by this hotel and the fact they advertise themselves as a 4 star establishment , it is absolutely abysmal
We arrived Sunday, waited in the lobby before heading out and there was a lovely pile of food on the floor surrounded by ants.. I gave benefit of the doubt assuming they hadn’t noticed it.. 5 hours later on our return it was still there in the middle of the lobby
Prepare yourselves now it gets even more exciting…
The lift broke on the first actual day of us staying, we weren’t advised and there was no sign to state this, it wasn’t fixed at all after that so if you can’t walk up stairs then tough
The building was completely festered with ants. The lobby, our bedroom, the BED, balcony and bathroom I barely slept because I felt so uncomfortable
There’s a stale smell in the building but walking downstairs to reception smelt of cigarettes every single time, horrific
The room.. 4009, honestly I feel like every single room was atrocious from what we heard, just avoid this place with your life it isn’t worth spending a single penny
Even speaking to local people who work in restaurants said “I don’t know how they get away with it” now if that doesn’t tell you somethings wrong then I don’t know what will
Our room was absolutely filthy,
The main bedroom light did not work,
The beds were hard, stains on pillows and sheets
The wall by the “wardrobe” was covered in damp and dirt
There was what we thought was a “feature wall” showcasing their pillows, did think this was strange but nope.. turns out there’s a window behind them, what more could you want, forget the curtains just stuff the pillows in front of it… classy…not
The cherry on the cake in our bedroom was definitely our door going out onto the beautifully ant riddled balcony with the absolutely most awful view ever but yet in reception they have a lovely statement on the wall “scenic views in every room”, yeah that’s a lie too
Our balcony door handle wasn’t even attached, it came off in our hands, a massive safety hazard and not a 4 star standard
The bathroom..
I don’t even know where to begin
Imagine sitting in the sewers, I’m not exaggerating, it brought me to tears how awful it was
The entire time we stayed we had issues with the toilet not flushing properly
The shower was grubby around the seals, the fittings, the shower heads, the tiles, we had flies coming out the drain and the water hardly worked, I would’ve felt cleaner washing in someone else’s bath water, I wish I was joking but it was absolutely vile
There was an extremely strong drain smell which was the most unpleasant thing ever, if you do decide to book this place please make sure you bring a peg for your nose because you’ll need it.
The mirror in the bathroom was the only nice thing. I felt sorry for it
We had toilet roll, but had the leave it on the window sill as we had no toilet roll holder, we infact had what seemed like the remains of the broken bracket but no holder to be seen, don’t you love not being able to maintain standard hygiene practices..
Oh and it gets even more hygienic
On Tuesday we were told there was an issue with the water supply in the area so we had no running water at all
This not only effected the taps and showers.. yep we couldn’t flush the toilet at all
No bottles of water were offered due to the water shortage either, it’s usually the little acts of consideration which go a long way
Went up to our room and I desperately needed to use the bathroom, then my partner had to then urinate on what I had to leave behind because there was no possible way to flush, how mortifying is that I have never felt so uncomfortable in a “4 STAR” establishment or any star hotel like this in my entire life
We left the hotel because we couldn’t bare to stay there for the evening but asked a local restaurant if they had water issues.. they didn’t so the guy on reception basically lied to us and made out it was an area issue when in-fact it was a hotel issue
The following morning we had water but still couldn’t flush the toilet, it’s atrocious
Facilities -
We had a kettle.. no cups… no facilities to go along side this, just a dirty basic kettle which we couldn’t even use if we tried because guess what.. that’s right NO WATER
There was a box on the wall which had a loud buzzing sound throughout the night (I still have no idea what it was) but the cover was cracked
Also was woken twice during our stay at 7am by someone dragging furniture around extremely loudly
They apparently offered breakfast and had a pool but after the state of our room we were not even going to find out what it was like
We infact LEFT yesterday even though we had 2 nights remaining, it was that disgusting we rathered spend a lot more money just to get out of there
The cleaner seemed to find it hilarious when my partner was complaining at the reception desk, I am not laughing at all. This is appalling
They made us pay €50 tourist tax on arrival, was happy to take our money and refuse to refund any of the remaining days we had - all he could say was speak to who you booked it with, which we will indeed be doing
What an absolute con-artist and how they can portray themselves to be 4 star and the best of the best is beyond me, there’s so many other places around which have lower stars and much much higher standards
I can not stress enough how much we do not reccomend this hotel, it is not worth your time, money or happiness
It nearly ruined our holiday
Do not give anything to this place, save for any other hotel but not these, we willingly spent €300 more to get out of there for our last 2 nights, it was that miserable
The building is an absolute disgrace to the area, the staff don’t care and the prices they charge for something the same quality as the inside of a bin is unacceptable,
Shame on them
Avoid this place at all costs, this is not only a warning to others it’s a promise that this hotel is not one that’ll look after you, they won’t be attentive, they’ll disregard you if you try to speak to them about issues and mock you
I can promise that they’ll make you feel disgusting, take your hard earned money and make you feel inhumane because you can’t even have the basic hygiene requirements you’re entitled too
On the plus side the bin outside was cleaner than I expected but that’s it
Unfortunately, in my opinion, this is not a 4-star hotel.
We booked a pool room, which was unfortunately very run down and in need of attention. There were ants in the room, it lacked cleanliness and had a persistent musky smell. The shower head clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly for a long time, as water came out in all directions, flooding the bathroom and running into the hallway. We went through a lot of towels simply trying to soak up the water.
On our last day, the water completely shut off, meaning we were unable to flush the toilet or shower. When we complained, we were told it was an external issue, which was extremely inconvenient, particularly on our final day.
The hotel also advertises two bars, yet there was no bar operating on site during our stay. There was also very little atmosphere around the pool, with no music or entertainment.
The main pool appeared to have an excessive amount of chlorine. You could feel it on your skin, and unfortunately it also tarnished my jewellery to the point that I had to dispose of it.
The hotel shop was also very poorly stocked, with largely empty shelves, and seemed to be open mainly for purchasing water.
I stayed here with two other couples for our friends' wedding, and unfortunately they experienced several complaints during their stays too. This suggests that the issues are not isolated and that the hotel has generally been neglected and is in need of significant improvement.
Fortunately, the holiday itself and spending time with our friends made the trip enjoyable. However, when you are paying for a 4-star hotel, you expect a certain standard, and unfortunately this hotel did not meet those expectations.

The photos on the booking.com site must be many years old. It shows a rooftop bar - long ago closed. The room interiors are nothing like the photos - the rooms are run down and shabby . The coffee machine at breakfast doesn’t work (only cold Nescafé on offer) The fruit juice dispensing machine at breakfast doesn’t work. If you book a room with a plunge pool beware of random goats taking a drink In my room there were ants everywhere, the fridge door was hanging off , the bathroom fittings were rusty. The aircon must be 20 years old, and only just spluttered into life . The fact there are covid “stay apart 2m” signs on the floor just shows how long the hotel has been neglected
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Absolutely AVOID, shocking been coming to Greece for 25 years 3 times a year, done basic and done nicer apartments/hotels, this hotel is a disgrace to all we know of Greece, the staff attitude is take up with who you booked your travel company, we booked our holiday to Eagles Nest Pefkos Rhodes in January 2026, booked a deluxe private pool room, on arrival got the basic double, paid extra for the room we booked, their attitude was disgusting, if you don’t like go some where else, no restaurant or sunset cocktail bar, this place is disgraceful so do not book, the amount of couples that had the problem we did, everyday people turning up and not getting what they booked, then a lengthy process with booking agent to get a resolution, they don’t care don’t give them your hard earned cash, this hotel is a disgrace to all that Greece stands for and has to offer.
