Lindos Sun Hotel

Chose to stay at Lindos Sun for my first visit to Rhodes and to celebrate my 60th birthday, and 10th wedding anniversary. We arrived late evening as our flight didnt arrive until gone 11pm. We had an efficient greeting and were shown our room. I was pleasantly surprised by the champagne, balloons and banner for my birthday on entering the room, it was a lovely touch! Our room was on the end of the complex, overlooking the pool and was very clean and spacious. Breakfast every day was a sight to behold, I have never seen so much choice for food. Service for tea and coffee from the waiting staff was a bit hit and miss but I guess they were very busy. Sugar left on the tables would have been a good start. We didn't dine in the evening at the hotel but used the bar before heading into Lindos each evening, enjoying the pleasant service from barman Adonis. Pool area was clean and tidy and there were always plenty of sunbeds, although the last ones free tended to be those on the watered grass where mud had puddled under the beds. The water was swimmable for late May with just a slight chill to it on entry but was a welcome dip in the heat. The grounds are beautifully kept with flower arches and regularly clipped lawns.

We have just returned from this wonderful hotel, what can I say the whole place is amazing, staff were fantastic from the pool bar to the a’la Carte restaurant nothing was too much trouble. Pool area and public areas were very well maintained and spotless the whole vibe of the hotel was of relaxation. “La Grec “ restaurant was phenomenal,food was of a very high quality with large portions and an excellent wine list, we ate there at least 5 times during our two week holiday, prices were very reasonable compared to other restaurants in Lindos and food is far superior, an absolute gem of a place. Nice touches around the pool for sunbathers with cold clothes and large pieces of watermelon to cool you down. Sun beds were readily available and you could hire towels from the reception area, a deposit of € 20 for 2 towels which was refundable, towels could be swapped for clean ones, Breakfast was amazing with lots of Choice again food was of a very high standard and staff were attentive. Lovely pool bar again with fabulous food, freshly prepared, large portions and really reasonable prices. When the pool bar closed at 6:00 the hotel bar opened, gorgeous setting with very reasonable bar prices for cocktails etc - bar staff were fantastic. We walked into Lindos which took 20 minutes brilliant views just take water as hot ! Hotel reception can book taxis these are €10 each way- be warned after an evening out in Lindos during August there will be a wait for taxis. Overall we had a fantastic time, recharged our batteries and we really hope to come back to the Lindos Sun, gorgeous hotel with outstanding food and a’la Carte restaurant fabulous staff, spotless rooms, very comfy beds and pillows- just wonderful

I really recommend this hotel to anyway! A lovely atmosphere, lovely pool, great staff and great breakfasts. The staff were so friendly. Room and pool service was so lovely. A 25 minute into Lindos village but the hotel reception is so helpful with getting taxis and its only 10 euro, or 2 each per person for the bus. We were so sad to leave Lindos Sun Hotel. An amazing holiday.
