This charming hotel commands a remarkable position on the island, situated in the middle of a beautiful bay, 800 m from the picturesque St. Paul's bay and church, 1 km from the village of Lindos and 2 km from the resort of Pefkos. Diagoras Airport is some 50 km from the hotel, whose interior blends simple chic with classic Greek style. The hotel is built in bungalow style and offers 40 rooms, all with their own private balcony or veranda. The rooms are elegant and in keeping with the simple nature of the Greek islands, but fitted with all modern necessities. The swimming pool is surrounded by gardens, set against the red volcanic rock of the mountainside and has its own views of the spectacular bay of Psaltos. Guests can enjoy a drink at the poolside snack bar and relax with the sun loungers and parasols laid out ready for use.
Take advantage of recreation opportunities such as an outdoor pool or take in the view from a terrace and a garden. Additional amenities at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and wedding services.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
This is our 5th year at The Lindos Sun. It’s such a great place to stay. So quiet. Great pool. Never feels crowded. The staff are great especially the new breakfast team and the pool bar guys. And they’ve finally sorted out the coffee delay at breakfast!! 😂. Can’t recommend it highly enough. Don’t be worried about the distance from Lindos. It’s a 25 minute walk up hill but downhill back. Or just get reception to order a taxi. Never waited more than 5 mins. Only €10. Breakfast buffet is good. Food at pool bar is great for lunch. We’ve never used the on site restaurant for dinner as we like to walk into Lindos. But we heard very good reports on the quality. More fine dining than Greek taverna. Booking for next year
Lovely relaxing stay. Breakfast staff lovely. Bar staff at night great. Would definitely return. Pool bar food good. We didn't dine in the Le Grec restaurant, the menu looked ok, but the wine list prices were ridiculously expensive in comparison to most restaurants in Lindos.
The Lindos Sun Hotel is a great place to stay, Lovely staff and spotless. We had a room with a pool which was excellent. There is a massive selection for breakast. There is excellent room service up until 10.30 pm, so if you arrive late, dont go out - order in. Also the main restaurant is superb with very reasonable prices. It is a 25 min walk to Lindos or 2.2 Euros on the bus or 10 Euros in a taxi.
We had the private pool room. Pool was kept clean by the wonderful cheerful gentleman on a morning. He kept all the pools immaculate. Including the main 1.
The room was lovely. Just a bit limited for storage. The ladies who cleaned the rooms were amazing. Thorough and quick.
The breakfast has lots of choice and we were served almost immediately with coffee and water. All the staff in the breakfast area were polite,friendly and helpful.
The pool bar is fantastic. The food there is amazing. Not overly priced either. The barman at the pool bar, Dimitris is brilliant . Polite and attentive. As is the gentleman who waited on us. I didn't get his name. I wish I could bottle his genuine politeness.
Thalassa bar on an evening was perfect for a nightcap and Dimitri is the perfect host and a fantastic barman. Always a cheerful smile .
We did go in the restaurant once but i only eat chicken so I was very limited to my choices. The cheesecake was beautiful though.
The bus stops are right outside the hotel to go either to Lindos or Pefkos. I did try running it both ways. (I,m not the best runner, more the back marker). Its quite a challenge. Lindos is the easiest option to walk. The view and sunrise is worth the lung bursting feeling. Pefkos direction..get the bus or a taxi.
Only quibble we had was when we checked out someone had gave our room number and something was charged to our room. We used cash for everything. It was cleared up, but make sure you have proof of your signature at hand just incase.
Would I go back?? In a heartbeat. Its been a long time since I have said goodbye to the people who work in a hotel and felt choked. No words are a real testimony to how amazing these people are, or how hard they work.
Location just outside of Lindos , 10 Euro in a taxi or a good 20 minute walk. Relaxed and quiet atmosphere, large pool with plenty of sunbeds. Rooms small but clean. Complementary bottle of water in arrival but would have been nice to have free water daily. Excellent service in the restaurant and pool bar , the philaphine staff were so accommodating and friendly. Bar open in the evening, again quiet but lovely for relaxing- good service. Allow plenty of time for check out as this was not well organised and took a very long time
