A fantastic hotel, clean, comfortable & very friendly
First time in Rhodes. Great experience the staff are super friendly and the hotel is very clean.
The choice of fresh pizza and fresh pork or chicken gyros on a dinner/lunch are perfect.
The shop that is on site has a of choice from drinks to toiletries to toys for the little ones. The price is fair too.
The water park that is on site has 3 big slides to choose from. They are lots of fun but also have a slow lazy river to just float around in the sun. There is a small splash zone for the younger children with slides and climbing areas.
The 2 pools to choose from the main pool near the main bar and restaurants has plenty of sunbeds for everyone so you're not fighting for space first thing in a morning.
We have just returned from a week at The Olive Garden hotel & this is our honest review! After reading some of the negatives on here we were worried about going but we are so glad we did! We arrived to the hotel at around midnight on Sunday & were greeted by a super friendly receptionist who checked us in, told us there was fruit, water and sandwiches if we wanted some & the arranged for the night security to show us to block T which is the family block.
When we got to our room 713 we were a little shocked, the room was very small, the bunk bed was shoddy and made of lots of different woods, our bed was broken, there was a hole in the bedroom wall and bathroom! I sat up for hours wondering what to do but decided to get some sleep and speak to reception in the morning!
The next morning we went to breakfast, this was lovely (hectic) but that’s expected for a buffet breakfast, food was tasty, lots of variety and our son enjoyed having fresh pancakes every morning :)
I then went to reception and spoke to the most wonderful team, Anna & Stavros! They were so helpful, the reservations manager had a look at their system and told me to come on Tuesday (next day) at 11am & she would have a room in the main block that we can look at and if we were happy we can move to it! They couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful!
We went back on Tuesday and the new room 317 was absolutely perfect, much bigger, more modern and just amazing! We could finally unpack and enjoy the holiday!
The pools are great, all really clean and tidy & the water park is amazing and very well managed!
The whole hotel is spotless and clean and the staff work so hard to keep it that way!
The bar team during the day (girl I can’t remember her name) are amazing, always greeting you with a smile and the same with the night team!
The evening food is ok, we aren’t that fussy and know that buffet food is always a bit hit and miss depending on your expectations and taste! But again the staff are amazing!
The Gyros’s are incredible and my little boy absolutely adored them, the guy serving is super friendly and loves having some fun with the children! This makes it so lovely for them.
The entertainment team are trying really hard but one thing I would say is they need better equipment, their microphone kept cutting out and the WiFi is poor for them trying to do karaoke songs through a laptop, so I think this could do with some investment to make the evenings run smoothly - you’ve got a great team so provide them with the equipment to make it amazing :)
Overall we had a lovely stay & can’t thank the staff - especially Anna & Stavros enough.
The Henderson’s
The rooms are pretty standard, drinks are poor, the fizzy drink aren't fizzy, most of the staff are really lovely. You have to pay 5 euros deposit if you want another card for your room but not allowed to put air con on when your out the room or you will lose the deposit which is shocking. If I've paid for £5000 for a holiday I want cool room. Entertainment ok. Now for the positives. You don't have to queue for anything and you get a sense from the holiday makers of being one happy family. You know everyone by the time you leave. Beech is gorgeous. Turn left out the hotel and go straight as far as you can to the beach and you will come across a lovely bar with bean bag beds on the beach, between 5-7pm as long as you get a drink, you can lay on them for free. The Greek night in Lardos is a must, what a great night we had.
Lovely family hotel, food and drink was great- all staff are lovely from housekeeping to reception, entertainment team really made our holiday - always something going on if you want to take part. Evenings were really fun too - and the new entertainer Alex seems like a lot of fun!
