Ankit at the family pool bar was amazing! Really helpful, friendly with all the children and made an effort to always go that little bit further
We had a 10 night stay at The Olive Garden and cant say I was either over whelmed or disappointed. It was a good holiday.
Negatives - Our room was tiny for a family of 4. The bathroom was too small for a sink so it was literally in the hall way. The quality of the handyman work in the room was in places laughable. Beds were uncomfortable. All inclusive beer was pretty poor. We were aware it was in a remote location but there's literally one bar on the beach and that's it. Lardos square is a half hour walk.
Positives - Waterpark is great, Mama Pizza and Papa Pitta (Gyros) stations open throughout the day were fantastic, staff friendly and couldn't do enough for you, hotel gardens are nice, food in the restaurant was good, entertainment was ok, pools were clean, plenty of sunbeds to go around, kids loved the ice cream and crepes, even though our room was disappointing they were cleaned every day with fresh towels.
Overall I would say it didn't wow us but we had a good time regardless of a few of the negatives. Only reason I wouldn't return really would be the location but that's just us and might suit other couples / families. It was just a bit too remote for us as we like to have a walk out some day's but again other people may like the remote location.
Top tip!! Remember to take some bite repellent! Our balcony was covered in mosquitos and we were bit quite a lot!
Visited this hotel with my wife and 2 kids. Lets start with the negative. Hotel needs renovation. It is OLD. Rooms and beds are....well....not good. Bathroom is new though and clean. That summerizes the negative.... The positive: Kids loved everything, the pools, the toys, the kids club....they loved it. And if they are happy so are we. But the highlight is the people that work here. I can not emfasize enough what a gem the F&B manager Vasilis is. The restaurant is always soooo clean, the personnel always welcome you and he is present everywhere to ensure you like everything. The food is on the same level as other sucj resorts...its ok. OH the pizza is amazing at the pizza house...really handmade. And really all the personel is kind. This is what keeps this hotel up and running. So i suggest the owners take a good look and help their investment with some really neede renovations
This was a very nice hotel. Definitely out of the way from towns which we liked for this trip but not ideal if you want to walk around the local beaches or towns. Very good Atmosphere staff were always polite and happy to help. The room was nice and cleaned everyday. Good value for money. We were on the ground floor and facing the main pool which was actually okay with the noise levels. The waterpark was always clean and plenty of sun loungers. The bra staff were always lovely but drinks seemed very watered down. However if your like me and like jack Daniel’s and don’t mind paying it does come in a glass instead of a plastic cup which is also served with some nuts which was a nice touch. Now I like to always be truthful with my reviews and unfortunately the evening entertainment was really bad and definitely underwhelming. I mean to be fair to them they had to work with hardly any service on what I can only describe as an old laptop. So just small discos and no acts which was disappointing. But overall I would definitely recommend this hotel if you want polite staff good service good food and a waterpark for not only the kids but adults too and rooms that are clean daily.
Great Family Vacation with an Awesome Water Park and Unforgettable Bar Team!
Olive Garden Hotel in Rhodes is a really solid choice for a family getaway. The resort is spacious, with a well-planned layout. Guests have access to 3 pools, including a fantastic water park that provides tons of fun for kids and keeps them fully entertained.
The entire complex consists of 4 residential buildings. However, it's worth paying attention to your room location upon check-in:
What truly stole our hearts and made our stay extra special was the bar staff at the small pool. Ankit and his team (Carlos, Nimai, Linda, and Aniket 'entire bar team') are absolute masters at what they do!
Always smiling, incredibly friendly, and welcoming to both kids and adults. They create a wonderful, warm atmosphere and made sure we had everything we needed every single day. Huge thanks to Ankit and his whole team for making our vacation so enjoyable!
In summary: the hotel has great potential for families with kids, and the fantastic bar team completely makes up for minor infrastructure flaws.
