Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The rooms were really nice, they have aircon which helps you cool down much quicker, mo and the entertainment where really nice and funny. The night shows were amazing. The atmosphere was so happy too everyone was in a good mood. The beach is very close by with many shops which is handy. Noise level was a bit loud but its nice. The bar service was great too but the main restaurant starts to tidy up earlier than when it closes. The cleaners do an amazing job and there are bins everywhere. The value of the place was also good since we got a jacuzzi in our room.
Booked this hotel as a relaxing family break. The hotel is clean, the grounds are pretty, the food is relatively good and it would be relaxing if it weren’t for the awful Euro pop music blaring out of the speakers by the pool incessantly. Even my teenagers have said it’s awful music and too loud. There are some lovely swim up rooms but our room for a family of 3 is very cramped. The sunbeds are lovely and some very cute cats. The splash park is good for younger kids but the food and drink there isn’t part of the all inclusive package which is a shame. The snack bar is ok, nice pizzas fruit chips etc but no ice cream and limited hours. Drinks nlt great and the cocktails are undrinkable. Location is ok but a bit of a walk to the beach. Would not come back unfortunately
Had a great holiday, hotel was good maybe a 3 1/2 star not a 4 star, the only thing that let it down were the drinks, 1 beer which was ok, but the spirits were really bad, which made the cocktails bad. The entertainment staff were amazing Mo was fantastic, olivia and Alice were great with everyone, and always had a smile on their face, and Tommy was great ,always there to help in any way, they were a real asset to the hotel. Catering staff were hard working, food was well cooked and tasty, good variety and always replaced with fresh. Reception staff helpful and friendly was an overall very pleasant stay.will definitely be back.
We have had a wonderful week here. The hotel is small but has everything you need, the staff are amazing, friendly, helpful, just lovely. It's a quieter area but we like that.
My son and husband are coeliac so it's always a worry regarding food. The kitchen excelled themselves. We arrived at midnight and having seen on previous reviews that they leaves snack in the room fridge for late arrivals I emailed and asked if it would be possible to put something gluten free in our room. When we got there we were handed a gf pizza, which was very much appreciated. Waiters are knowledgeable and every mealtime the chef came out and talked through what they could have. He cooked separate meals for my son when the choice was more limited- he's a bit fussy. Husband found things on the buffet every day. Food is labelled gluten free and stations are laid out well so felt safe about cross contamination. Staff also offered to get food direct from the kitchen. Chef offered to make pizzas, pasta, fried chicken etc. and asked us to say if there was anything we fancied. The pastry chef prepared special desserts even though there was usually something on the buffet.she bought them out with a waiter- sometimes two so they could see their reactions! Honestly felt like they just wanted to make everyone happy.
Superior sliding door room was huge, full sized single beds for the boys. Fresh towels every day. Whole site is spotless and well maintained Entertainment team are great, not too full on but plenty to do and very lovely staff. The evening shows were good.
Main pool is nice, sometimes difficult to get a sun bed but there is ample seating close to the pool in the relaxation area with a mix of sun beds, swing chairs and comfortable seating. You can still hear what's going on so you don't miss out. The water park is great fun and always had plenty of empty sun beds. The south rhodes water sports team at the beach are good too. We hired a boat which was great fun, my husband and teenager also did an inflatable ride - they loved it.
You can catch a bus to Lindos from outside the hotel- go early to avoid the crowds and heat.
We have just returned from 2 weeks at Aiora overall we have had a fab holiday. We had an issue with our rooms on arrival as we had paid for 2 swim up rooms and they told us it they would not be available for the first 2 nights. At 1am in the morning this did not go down well. After speaking to the general manager the following today the issue was resolved and they offered compensation for the problem. The swim up rooms were nice quite small but had everything you needed. Staff at this resort are fantastic they work crazy hours and they go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. Lardos is a very quiet place so not for anyone who is looking for nightlife. Entertainment was ok some shows better than others, I would say they need to vary the daytime activities as they were pretty much the same everyday so got a bit boring after a while though the team are lovely. Buses are regular so easy to visit local areas without having to rely on taxis. There are lots of stray cats which we befriended and would discreetly take chicken or fish to feed them as they were often starving. The gym was poor, outside which we liked but very small, old and limited equipment so it was hard to work out I would say Aiora is more a 3 star resort though I think with a few improvements it could be a 4, the food is of a good standard, drinks were not great and it’s the first time we have not been able to get ice cream for the kids whenever they wanted. I would recommend going to symi, lindos and Rhodes and take plenty of cat treats with you
