Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Whilst we enjoyed our holiday there are a number of things we feel could improve the experience. The food for a 4* AI was very repetitive and the food was never warm during our 10 night stay, lovely fresh salad and fruit and plenty of it. The hotel is not suitable for anyone who is not fully mobile, it’s very hilly, lots of steep ramps and steps. Even being fit and healthy it was a slog! Our room was cleaned daily but the balcony was not cleaned during our stay. Rooms are nicely decorated but very small. All in all a nice holiday, pleasant staff who work hard but wouldn’t return to this hotel.
We had a wonderful stay at Aiora Aqua Resort in Rhodes and we can honestly say that it was a fantastic family holiday.
During our stay, we had both a family room with a private pool and a standard room with a garden. Both rooms were very nice, comfortable and well suited to our needs.
The food was delicious, with a good variety of dishes, so everyone could easily find something they liked. A special mention has to go to the restaurant staff, who were always smiling, friendly and attentive. They really take care of the guests and even make time for a nice conversation, which creates a very warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The drinks were also very good and the bartenders always did their best. We also really enjoyed the daily entertainment for both children and adults – it was a lovely way to end each day.
The whole hotel team deserves huge recognition for their friendliness and hard work. However, we would especially like to mention Tommy, who really made our stay even more special. He is an extremely kind, helpful and cheerful person, always with a smile on his face. We really enjoyed talking to him and his positive attitude added so much to our holiday.
The hotel is a great choice for families. Our child absolutely loved the hotel water park and was excited about the whole stay from beginning to end!
We had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend Aiora Aqua Resort to other families looking for a fun and relaxing holiday in Rhodes.

A great hotel with very good food and fantastic service! We are already recommending it to friends. We were charmed by Lianne—her beautiful smile and kindness. We visited with our children, and they were delighted. It was very clean, with rooms serviced daily. Thank you for a wonderful holiday. Wow. What a week. This place is a little gem. Clean, pretty surroundings friendly staff, good food and relaxing atmosphere. The lady booking us in at breakfast and dinner deserves a shout out. She was lovely and very attentive. Loved our swim up room and our room was modern and clean.
Not a 4-star experience — disappointing quality for the price
I’ll start with the main point: this is not a four-star hotel experience. Based on our seven-night stay, I would rate the overall experience around 2.5 stars, perhaps 3 stars if judging the facilities alone.
We paid approximately €1,800 for seven nights, and at that price point I believe there are significantly better options in Rhodes.
We stayed in room, 342 first night and 540, which we were told was newly refurbished. The room itself is a decent size, but the quality of the refurbishment is poor. Cheap materials have been used, and much of the work feels rushed and unfinished. We found mold in places, a broken curtain, and several small installation and finishing issues. Even the day and blackout curtains are installed too close together, meaning they constantly catch on each other.
Sound insulation is particularly bad. The walls are extremely thin, so you hear your neighbors as well as activity outside. There are also visible gaps around the room door through which you can literally see outside.
The beds aren’t particularly comfortable either. What is presented as a double bed is actually two single beds pushed together. If you sleep toward the middle, they begin separating.
This sums up much of the hotel: it feels like a property trying to create the appearance of a higher-end resort without investing in the details, materials, service and execution required to actually deliver that experience.
The main restaurant was another disappointment. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in a space with very bright, almost office-like lighting and poor acoustics, making the room loud and echoing. There are no table linens, and the music often feels completely mismatched to the setting.
Food became repetitive very quickly, with limited variety and ingredients that generally felt inexpensive. The all-inclusive package, in our opinion, is not worth paying extra for. Coffee tastes watered down and the wine is dispensed from taps. After several days, meals started to feel almost identical.
The atmosphere around the hotel also wasn’t what we expected from a four-star resort. Smoking is common directly below the main restaurant, and even the kids’ club is positioned next to the bar area where guests drink and smoke.
Entertainment could potentially be enjoyable, but we found it consistently too loud and forced rather than something that improved the atmosphere.
Service was another weak point. On arrival, we were initially given the wrong room, and there seemed to be little effort to acknowledge or properly resolve the gap between what we had booked and what we received. Overall, the staff experience lacked the attentiveness, training and polish I would expect from a hotel positioning itself at this level.
There is also no proper dedicated guest parking. You essentially leave your car on a dirt area in front of the hotel.
The hotel appears to cater very heavily to one particular tourist market - during our stay, the overwhelming majority of guests appeared to be Polish - and much of the food, entertainment and general experience seemed designed around that core audience. That isn’t inherently a problem, but international guests should be aware that the resort does not feel particularly broad or cosmopolitan in its offering.
Ultimately, I would describe Aiora Aqua Resort as a roughly two-star hotel experience housed within rooms and facilities that occasionally resemble a three- or four-star resort. Room size and some of the physical facilities are fine, but the service, food, sound insulation, finishing quality, atmosphere and attention to detail are nowhere near what I would expect from a genuine four-star property.
We don’t consider ourselves particularly demanding hotel guests, but at €1,800 for seven nights, the value simply isn’t there.
I would not recommend it, and I would not book it again.
