Fantastic week at Port Royal - lovely food, especially the wonderful lady who makes the poached eggs and always so incredibly friendly!! (With a stunning lipstick too, not that I was jealous at all! π )
Fantastic service with special shout out to Maria and Michalis at the bar who always looked after us - not only professionally but in am incredibly friendly and open way.
Definitely recommend the salad bar and range of ever changing daily salads and the fact there is such an incredible range at the buffet far exceeding other buffets.
Thank you all with special shout out to those three who really did make our stay special.
Fabulous hotel. We loved our room, on the second floor, had a great sea view, on the edge of the site so had lots of privacy too, perfect. The hotel grounds were lovely, lush, don't know how they manage this with the heat and dry weather. The food was fantastic, such high quality and so much choice; the buffet was perfect for us; couldn't be better! We loved the adults only aspect of this hotel. so peaceful and relaxing. So, thank you Sentido Port Royal Villas and Spa, a fantastic holiday; would love to come back to stay another time.
This is our 4th time at the hotel. It never disappoints. It is the most relaxing adults only location we have found. We particularly love lunch at La Pasteria and cannot thank the team there enough so thank you to Giota, Lila, Katerina, Aris, Ivan, Paschalis, Minhs and Michaela for making every lunchtime amazing!
The hotel is undeniably beautiful. All areas and rooms are kept clean, and the staff in the Royal Blue restaurant are lovely.
However, our experience was very disappointing. The sunbed reservation system is ridiculous for a five star hotel. We chose to spend most days at the smaller pool, and every morning one of us would have to go and collect towels at around 8.30am, put them on the loungers we wanted, then bolt our breakfast down so we could get back to the sun loungers within the 30-45 minutes reservation time. Most sun loungers had been reserved or were in use by 9.15am. On a number of occasions, I saw pool staff take a photo of sun loungers with people's belongings on so they could monitor the time taken.
We stayed on a half board basis because we wanted to explore the local restaurants. We found the bar charges very expensive - β¬5 for a soft drink and water so bought drinks from a local shop to keep in our room. There is no fridge in the room, but there is a mini bar which was cool but not cold. We put our drinks in the small amount of space left over, and on two occasions our drinks were removed. I checked the mini bar policy on the app, and it does say the hotel will do this. The weather was in the high 30s every day, and to prevent customers from having a cold drink in their room is incredibly cynical on the hotel's part.
Also, one morning we had two ladies use a key card to open the door to our room. The ladies did not appear to be staff, and looked as surprised to see us as we were to see them. I reported this issue to the Reception staff who said they would investigate, but I never heard anything from them.
This holiday was intended to be a treat after a few very difficult years, but it was far more stressful than any other holiday we have had. There is so much more that needs to be done to justify the cost of staying at Port Royal Villas.
Absolutely beautiful hotel in a lovely location with amazing staff. The hotel and grounds are spotlessly clean and afforded a sense of calm.
On arrival we were checked in by a very offhand girl and we were so disappointed with our room - room 104 - I do not think they should sell this room - no better than a 3 star business hotel offering - however we were delighted that the Manager understood our concerns and we were moved the next day to 2010 which was absolutely what we were hoping for. Stunning views and the room had loads of space which a wardrobe each!
The cleaning staff were great and all of the staff ( bar reception) were friendly and welcoming.
Lunch was a limited to 12-2 - which was a shame as we would have liked to linger and we found ourselves venturing out to the nearby fish restaurants on the beach.
There were always plenty of sunbeds and absolutely no need to reserve - even on the day we visited Lindos there were still beds available on our return. Loved being able to order drinks directly to out sun lounger! Great idea!
Yoga daily and the spa was excellent
All in all a lovely experience
