Just back from a lovely stay at this hotel. We were kindly allocated a room right next to reception and close to the restaurant as my husband has mobility problems. Everyone was lovely and friendly, the food was very good indeed and the pool was great, although very cold. The evening entertainment was especially good, with some fantastic acts. We didn’t go to the beach so can’t comment on that aspect. A special mention must go to Rio the animation guy. He worked very hard to get everyone involved in daytime and evening activities and is a huge asset to the hotel. He was popular with everyone Also Sakis at the pool bar is a lovely man, he remembers everyone’s names and drinks In all I would recommend this hotel for a fun and chilled holiday
A very nice hotel, well positioned with the beach at the end of the property and plenty of nearby shops, bars and restaurants (whilst not being on top of them, thus avoiding it being noisy). There is also a bus stop just down the road where regular buses will take you to Lindon or Rhodes Old Town for around 4 Euro per person each way (takes around 35-40 min). Front desk staff have very easy to read timetables printed ready for you!
We had a room with private pool which was great - the patios for these rooms face East so got the sun for the morning until lunchtime. The rooms are on the small side for what you would expect from this type of hotel, but were still large enough to be comfortable. No issues at all with cleaning, the whole hotel was very clean at all times.
The best thing overall were the client facing staff - very friendly and professional. In particular the regular duo at the main bar (sorry I have forgotten the lady and man's name) and the man at the pool side bar. Also, Georgia, one of the restaurant managers was particularly helpful and friendly, especially considering the issues we had in the restaurant...which brings me to why we can't give this hotel 5 stars.
We are vegan and chose this hotel as the vegan reviews were the least bad of all the hotels we considered in Rhodes. But, often there was no protein option - i.e. no replacements for breakfast hot options, and for lunch and dinner we could have potatoes/rice (not pasta) and vegetables but that was it for hot dishes. There was of course salad but many of those had some cheese or meat in it. No desserts other than the usual fruit and sorbet.
We are used to this and make do, but the bigger concern was that 3 times things were marked as vegan, and they were not. On the third time I asked the kitchen manager to take the sign down as someone with an egg allergy could be seriously ill if they ate the food in question (which was made with eggs). When she refused, I asked the manager who immediately took the sign down and ripped it up, causing a heated discussion to break out between her and the kitchen manager. The manager apologised profusely to us and was very sympathetic so well done on that, but the labelling does need to be more accurate especially for those who have allergies.
I had a massage in the spa - with a "booking-on-the-first-day" discount and extra 15 minutes it brought the price down to be in line with those places outside the hotel and it was very good; professional and a nice setting. My only gripe was that after it was finished an ipad was thrust into my hand to do a questionnaire and then I was asked to mention the masseuse's name on any review and was asked if I could do that on my phone now, which luckily I did not have with me, so declined. I don't mind someone saying, "please do a review if you wish", but after feeling relaxed for 75 minutes, writing a review was the last thing I wanted to do immediately. I would therefore recommend that this approach is turned down somewhat!
Would we come back, probably yes if we were not vegan but probably not as we are!
We had a fabulous time at the hotel in September for the whole 2 weeks ! All the staff were great and couldn’t do enough for you . 2 exceptional staff members were Rio (the animation team ) who was so funny ,charming and kept us 4 laughing every day and night ( Shakey Shakey Wakey Wakey ) !!! The 2nd was Panagiota the masseuse who gave me a head neck and back massage and the aloe Vera treatment she was great and I felt so relaxed afterwards . I would highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and amusing holiday .
So this is my first time going to Greece and I've thoroughly enjoyed myself. Hotel it self isn't big but feels really spacious, rooms where lovely,grounds are immaculate and staff are perfect special mention to Rio(entertainment team) who is worth his weight in gold made our hoilday and sekis outdoor pool bar was exceptionally again great asset to have. We loved the food in the hotel breakfast, lunch and dinner always found something to eat and was always well cooked and hot. Only downside pool is ABSOLUTELY freezing takes your breath away Kolymbia isn't big but has enough to keep u entertained shops and local bars very accommodating. Overall have loved my week i can't thank everyone enough for making our week amazing id 100%come back in the future
We stayed here from the 6th-18th of September. It’s our second time at this hotel, we got an upgraded room in the new block which was lovely. It’s a lovely hotel, good food and drinks, amazing staff and really clean and friendly.
Sakis at the pool bar, Mika and George at the bar in the evening were all so friendly and welcoming. Would like to mention Angelina (waitress) and the lovely lady on the omelette station (sorry didn’t catch her name!). Pawal the lifeguard was very friendly, we enjoyed chatting to him. Makes a different to the lifeguard from last year!
Whilst there I was taken ill, special mention to Elena (manager), Giannis (porter) and Katherine (reception), Pawal (lifeguard) and Panormitis (reservation manager) who were all helpful and accommodating and got us help quickly when we needed it. The staff checked up on me the next day which was very kind and went above and beyond, even making reservations at a nearby hotel if needed.
We met some guests who we had met last year and met some new guests who really made our holiday!
