Just arrived back from our third visit to the amazing hotel - this really is our place for relaxation and recovery! That’s down to being made so welcome and being taken care of so well during our many stays here.
The Reception staff are welcoming and so helpful and, after suffering a family bereavement in the time before coming, the management showed genuine care and sympathy for our loss which was appreciated.
The bar staff continue to be amazing. We had a lovely welcome bag hug from Sakis in the Pool Bar and Spiros, George and Mika were so welcoming in the main bar.
The catering and cleaning teams work so hard and make sure that the rooms are spotless and that there’s always something tasty to eat. Angela especially at the pool side snack bar was so kind and friendly with lots of fresh fruit and snacks available.
Then there’s Rio and his team. Rio has amazing energy and takes time to get to know you - he really wants you all to have the best time. Hamza was new this week but has really settled in and grown in confidence which was lovely to see as he was so friendly and enthusiastic.
Its a great place to stay with a fantastic location halfway between Rhodes old town and Lindos. It can be your happy place too!
We have just returned from this hotel after a 10-day stay.
Lots of positives - the hotel and pool area is kept beautifully clean and well-presented. The pool is lovely, sun beds are plentiful, towel hire works well. Staff are wonderful people - special mention to the lovely barmen at Ariadne who made me a vegan pina colada and Sakis at the pool bar. The room was well-equipped if not a little small for 4 people for 10 days. Some extra storage for clothes would’ve been helpful. The bathroom was modern and towels refreshed daily. My children and husband found the food mostly good. Children enjoyed the slushies and ice creams at the pool. Rio (the entertainment guy) is very hard-working. Kids enjoyed snorkelling at the local beach and saw plenty of fish! The weather was great. Check-in/out was very easy. Shower was blocked once- sorted very quickly. Nice little shop in hotel for gifts. Lilos can be hired or bought which was great.
The only downsides for me were that halfway through the trip I got sick. We asked for some antibacterial spray or toilet bleach to clean the bathroom to prevent spread to the other family members and were told they didn’t have anything like that. We were given alcohol hand gel which doesn’t work for killing germs from common vomiting bugs. The other big issue for me was the labelling of food in the restaurant. I have a dairy and egg allergy and although staff were very kind and helpful in telling me what I could or couldn’t eat, it was worrying to see food labelled as vegan only to be told it contained egg or milk. This happened almost daily so wasn’t a one-off. I think the hotel need to either make sure these labels are accurate or remove them as it is very confusing and misleading. I always appreciate that my food options will be very limited when I go away but it would’ve been nice to have been offered something safe for a dessert or breakfast other than fruit once or twice during a 10-day stay (at a 5-star hotel). But despite this, I am grateful to the individual members of staff who showed kindness.
Thank you for an amazing family holiday. Location is great for beach, local shops and Restaurants. Easy to catch buses to Rhodes town. Amazing and helpful Reception staff. Big shout out goes to Rio on the animation team who kept us all entertained with his amazing enthusiasm. Bar staff George,Mika and Stakis (in the pool bar) always busy but very happy to help. Would highly recommend this hotel to all families. Rooms kept immaculate and cleaned everyday.
We just left this incredible resort after a week’s stay and couldn’t be happier. The room had a balcony with a stunning view over the garden and pool, it was spacious, beautifully kept, and the bed was comfortable (only the pillows were a bit basic, but that’s pretty standard everywhere).
The all-inclusive service was outstanding, alcohol included, with an amazing variety of food every single day, we were genuinely spoiled for choice. The desserts deserve a special mention, especially the chocolate cake, which was out of this world.
The location was fantastic too, about a 30-minute taxi ride from the airport and the same to the Acropolis of Lindos, set in a charming little village that’s lovely to stroll through in the evening.
The staff were wonderful: attentive, warm, and always ready to help. A special grazie to Panagiota, Daniel and Nefeli at the spa for their care and professionalism and to Rio, hands down the best entertainer we’ve ever seen: multilingual, hilarious, and full of energy every single day (we loved the aqua gym, at 11:30 it was something we couldn't miss).
Just got back from a wonderful holiday in Leonardo (Aug 26). This is our 3rd time to Kolymbia but 1st time to Leonardos. Beautiful hotel and grounds, we were greeted at reception with a glass on bubbly and refreshing cold flannels and then escorted to our room, premium family room with was lovely, spotless, the bathroom was really nice with huge double shower. These rooms were refurbished in the winter. Lovely air con. Fresh complimentary large bottle of water daily, a mini fridge, kettle bath robes etc. Every single member of staff was absolutely lovely, they are all a real credit to the hotel, our maid, the reception staff, Sakis the pool bar server who remembered our drinks without us asking and so lovely, and Rio the absolute legend for day time pool entertainment (water polo, aqua aerobics, darts, dancing) and evening. He is full of energy and loved by everyone. He works incredibly hard and is a huge asset to the hotel. I also had a back massage in the hotel Spa and Daniel was amazing - highly recommend.the spa is lovely, also has a gym. They usually offer discounts if you speak to spa staff when you see them around the hotel. Evening entertainment on most nights bingo, bands - up town brothers were brilliant. Food was really good. The pool snack bar open all day with food, starts off with sandwiches etc and then around lunch time hot food) the restaurant also does wonderful breakfast huge selection including omelettes made for you. lunch and dinner always had a pan/grill with a chef cooking things infront of you, they change it up daily and from lunch and dinner so never felt like you got served left overs, also had a kids counter. There are two beaches within 2 min walk at the back of the hotel, I preferred the one to the right (with mikes boat hire) also another beach 5/10mim walk in different direction. Tsambika beach is 10 min drive, really lovely beach has everything and lovely sand and great for snorkelling. The main strip is on your doorstep with shops, small selection of bars and restaurants. If you want something livelier then a taxi to Falaraki (15mins). We hired a car from the hotel car hire lady which was the easiest car hire we’ve ever had! The pool was amazing. Always sunbeds available even at 11am, and lots of space in the pool which was perfect temperature. No wasps anywhere! Thank tmyou Leonardos, we will return!
