The peacefull environment in combination to the Hotel style gives to the guest a relaxing experience. Α regular shuttle service transfer guests to the beach. The hotel is a complex of 3 building areas, the main, the relax area and the facilities - lobby area. At the facilities area exists the Reception, the mini market, the restaurant for the all inclusive meals and the main BAR. At the main building there are double rooms, family room (open space) and superior family rooms. At the relax area there are also some of the double rooms, triple rooms and family rooms.
Pamper yourself with on-site massages or enjoy recreation amenities such as a seasonal outdoor pool. This hotel also features complimentary wireless Internet access, gift shops/newsstands and a television in a common area.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Excellent hotel in a fantastic location. The hotel was exceptionally clean, the food was amazing, and the staff were very professional, friendly, and welcoming. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this hotel! Overall, the holiday was calm, refreshing and memorable
Angelo in the bar is the best on the island, and he’s always ready with a cold beer and a nice dance move. This guy made my whole vacation so much better with the best energi. This guy needs a raise. He made every night special always with a smile and made everyone feel good.
The hotel definitely needs updating and the photos online don’t really represent what it looks like now.
There were a few safety concerns. The handrail at the entrance was extremely loose and my disabled mum almost fell when using it. Our balcony railing was also loose and appeared to only have 1 screw instead of 4.
The room was fairly clean on arrival after that it was just bed change and bin empty the shower was faulty, difficult to get a comfortable temperature and flooded the bathroom. The food selection was small and not appealing and didn’t taste great and some food was left uncovered around flies/bugs.
The pool looked green and the pool area and loungers were much more dated than the photos show.
A few hours before flying home, I also caught my toe on a pool filter/fitting, ripping my toenail off and needing medical attention. Although the staff were friendly, they didn’t seem properly trained in first aid and my mum had to tell them what to get from the first-aid kit.
Friendly staff, but the hotel really needs updating and some of the safety issues need addressing.
Didn’t take any photos other thamissing screws for balcony
HONEST REVIEW
Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was very disappointing and, in my opinion, it did not live up to its advertised 4-star rating.
We arrived at around 11:45pm and, when we entered our room, it immediately smelled damp and musty. To make matters worse, the shower was broken. We went to reception the following day and asked if we could move rooms, but we were told that they would repair it instead. To be fair, the shower was fixed by the end of the day, so this was not something I would complain too much about.
The biggest disappointment, however, was the food. We went for breakfast and found the selection very limited. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was also extremely poor. The eggs were greasy and undercooked, and there was not enough bacon available for everyone. Because of this, we ended up eating out for most of our meals.
We decided to give the hotel’s dinner another chance one evening, but it was just as disappointing. The food looked as though it had simply been taken straight from the oven, covered in sauce and served to everyone. I am not a fussy eater at all, but I genuinely would not have fed some of the food to my dog. We tried again the following evening, hoping things might have improved, but unfortunately it was exactly the same.
Our air conditioning unit also started leaking water all over the floor of our room. We reported this to reception and again asked if we could change rooms. We were told that it would be fixed, but the only thing that happened was that someone wiped the floor. The air conditioning continued to leak for the remainder of our holiday.
On top of this, our fire alarm started beeping approximately every two minutes because the battery was running low. We repeatedly asked for this to be replaced, but nothing was done. Eventually, we had no choice but to remove the battery ourselves because the constant beeping was making it impossible to sleep.
The bed was also extremely uncomfortable and felt like sleeping on a rock. One positive thing I will say is that the rooms were cleaned every day, which we appreciated.
This is definitely not a hotel I would recommend if you are looking for somewhere relaxing to stay. Even the air conditioning in the reception area didn’t appear to work properly, making it extremely hot and uncomfortable. We also experienced an issue at the bar where, despite being on an all-inclusive package, we were being asked to pay for drinks when we went to the bar around 10 minutes before closing time.
The location is another downside. The hotel is quite far from everything, and a taxi to Rhodes Old Town costs around €45–€50 one way, which can quickly become very expensive if you want to explore the area.
Overall, I genuinely don’t understand how this hotel is rated 4 stars. Based on our experience, I would personally rate it closer to 2 stars, at best.
If you’re looking for somewhere to stay for a lads’ holiday where you plan to be out most of the time and don’t mind spending a lot on taxis, then perhaps this hotel could work for you. However, I absolutely would not recommend bringing children here. In my opinion, it is not a family-friendly hotel and there are much better options available.
We didn’t use the pool not once as it was full and the second pool was broken and had to be refilled.
Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this hotel.
We stayed at Anavadia Hotel for 10 nights and had such a lovely experience from the moment we arrived.
Our flight meant we didn’t arrive at the hotel until around 4am, but the gentleman on reception was so friendly and welcoming and got us checked in straight away. What really surprised us was that the hotel had prepared a plate of sandwiches for us because they knew we would be arriving so late and thought we might be hungry. We thought this was incredibly thoughtful and generous, and it was such a lovely welcome after a long journey!
Our room was spacious, had great air conditioning and a lovely balcony overlooking the larger pool area. It was cleaned every day and we were always provided with fresh towels.
The larger pool with the bar did have to close for around 2–3 days during our stay so that it could be drained and cleaned, but this honestly didn’t dampen our holiday at all. There is another pool at the front of the hotel with plenty of sun loungers, right next to the restaurant, so we were still able to enjoy our days relaxing by the pool.
We really enjoyed the food too. The fresh pancakes and selection of fruit at breakfast were definitely a favourite of mine! Lunch and dinner changed each day with different dishes and cuisines, which kept things interesting throughout our 10-night stay. I’m only gutted that we missed the Asian-themed evening, as another couple we got chatting to told us how good it was!
A special mention has to go to George, the manager, who genuinely made our stay even more memorable. He was absolutely lovely – so kind, friendly and always happy and smiling whenever he saw everyone. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble.
During our stay it was my partner’s birthday, and George went above and beyond to make it special for us. While we were out sunbathing, our room was decorated as a surprise, and later he arranged a wonderful birthday evening for us with a cake and bottle of fizz. We were both so thankful for the effort he put in and it’s something we’ll always remember from our holiday. Thank you so much, George! ❤️
The only small issue we had was that the handle on our balcony door was broken on our first day. I mentioned it to the lovely lady on reception and she arranged for the engineer to come and fix it straight away, so even that was dealt with quickly and efficiently.
Overall, we had a fantastic 10 nights and felt very well looked after throughout our stay. The friendliness and kindness of the staff really stood out to us and made the hotel feel so welcoming.
Thank you to George and all of the team for helping make our holiday in Rhodes such a special one. We would happily stay again! 🇬🇷❤️
