Just returned home from a pleasant stay at the Princess Sun, location for us was fine, up a very steep hill but we enjoyed a walk. Cleanliness of the hotel was spotless. Food was good always a good variety and generally cooked nice (although some things can be very salty). Drinks were ok, beer nice to drink but very weak!, soft drinks were fine. Downside were the cocktails, not a deal of effort went into them, generally out of a pre-mixed bottle, for a 4 star hotel these could be a lot better. Service in all the bars/restaurants was very good although you can be waiting a while at the pool bar if only 1 person is serving, which was quite regular. The rooms, this was a big negative for us,(see pic) but I think we just drew the short straw, on the very end of the block on the ground floor opposite all the hotel workers rooms, advertised as a ‘garden view’ more like a footpath view! Again a big let down for a 4 star hotel. Overall we enjoyed our stay, unfortunately with the negatives we couldn’t rate any higher than 4, 3.5 would have been fair but that’s not an option so had to put 4
had a fantastic stay at Princess Sun in Rhodes and would definitely recommend it!
The hotel was lovely, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and we had a really enjoyable holiday overall. One of the absolute highlights was the spa — it was amazing! I had a full-body massage with Sammy and it was honestly incredible. So relaxing and one of the best massages I’ve had. If you’re staying here, I’d definitely recommend booking in.
The only area that was slightly lacking for us was the entertainment. It could have been a little more varied and engaging, particularly in the evenings, but this certainly didn’t spoil our stay.
Overall, a brilliant holiday and a lovely hotel. We’d happily return.
I had a fantastic back shoulder and scalp massage as well as a facial by the very talented Theano. I can thoroughly recommend the treatment and the therapist. My Wife has booked on for treatment tomorrow. Thanks Theano.
I’m not usually someone who leaves reviews, even though I’m the biggest hypocrite who decides where to book based entirely on other people’s reviews.
What I can say is… wow. Absolutely amazing. We stayed at Princess Sun from the 20th to the 30th of July 2026 and from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we couldn’t fault a single thing.
Hotel:
Recently refurbished, and it really shows. Everywhere is immaculate, modern, spotless, and beautifully maintained.
Food & Drink (All Inclusive):
Outstanding. Different themed evenings that genuinely felt like 5‑star dining. Always fresh, always top quality, and something for everyone. The dedicated pasta chef was a personal favourite.
Any review criticising the food must have stayed somewhere else, we honestly couldn’t recommend it enough. Daytime snacks were great too, especially the fresh pizza.
Facilities:
Exactly as shown in the photos. My boy loved the slides and the pool. My wife enjoyed the spa, and the prices were very reasonable.
The hotel sits around 500m above sea level, giving you stunning panoramic views. A new VW 7‑seater shuttle runs guest to their sister hotel by the beach about a 5‑minute trip. The beach facilities are just as good, with beautiful crystal‑clear water.
Kids Entertainment:
The highlight of the holiday. My 7‑year‑old loved the kids’ club and the bubble party absolutely brilliant. Evening entertainment and the kids’ disco were also very good. A huge shout‑out and thank you to Michelle Locki and Ellie
The only change I would propose is a bar and tables in the theatre. 🎭
If you’re considering Princess Sun, book it!!! You won’t be disappointed.
A truly wonderful place to holiday as a young family. We arrived in the middle of the night and were greeted with bottled water and sandwiches and our luggage taken to our room, which made us feel very welcome. We chose a sea-view family room which was very spacious and clean- beautiful views. The food was brilliant - we were always well advised with our daughter's peanut allergy so we felt secure eating at the restaurant, poolside or the Greek Tavern (which was especially great!) We ate way too much of course but had great fun doing so! A fantastic selection of cocktails, mocktails and iced coffees were included too. Our children loved the wonderful staff at the kid's club and the whole entertainment team who were friendly without being pushy to get involved. Thank you to the reception staff who gave good advice on visiting Lindos- really easy to catch the public bus and if you catch the first bus of the day you miss the crowds and the heat at the Acropolis - well worth it! The children loved the pools- there is a 'toddler' pool up to your knees which a lot of kids enjoyed playing in and using big floats, 3 slides and the other two pools are fairly deep (I'm 5,2 and was on tiptoes). We also enjoyed the use of the jacuzzi in the spa which we ended up booking for an hour twice as we loved it so much (free!) and being able to book a shower slot at check out day was really helpful too as we left later that evening. Again really friendly staff. We loved this hotel, absolutely recommend.
