Princess Andriana Resort and Spa

We had a really lovely and relaxing experience at the spa. Riki was wonderful — very kind, professional, and gave an excellent massage. I left feeling completely relaxed. Thank you!

The hotel is nice and very spacious but definitely falls short from the ultra 5 star claim. The positives are that the bedrooms are big, plenty of lounge chairs in Sep for arriving late by the pool, the food quality is decent at the main restaurant.

There are quite a few negatives, that if this wasn't a claim to be ultra 5 star with "all inclusive plus" it wouldnt be as negative. Firstly, the choice of food at the main restaurant isnt as vast as i would expect, not a whole lot meat options e.g. our first lunch the only meats available were grilled burgers(no buns) and fish. Not even chicken nuggets etc. For the kids. Secondly, the all inclusive "plus" on the branded drinks side of things is a complete farce. The only branded drinks available were smirnoff, disaronno ans bacardi on the spirits side of things. Hardly worth talking about, not even 1 branded whiskey, which i have never in my life experienced (again this wouldnt be an issue if not for the claim for branded drinks). The few branded beers on offer were also not included in the all inclusive and were very very expensive to buy. Thirdly, the lifts are terrible, they take all day to open and are very small which is really annoying when u have kids and are standing waiting 5-10 mins just to get to the floor below. Forthly, the air con in the room doesnt work as it should. It certainly keeps the room ice cold but again, with a baby this just isnt suitable and no matter what temp. I change to it never gets any warmer. Fifth issue, there are not enough bars and there are not enough bar staff in fhe busy areas . This place is pretty big and there are no bars near the entertainment area.

There are a few other nuisances that arent worth mentioning but this hotel was very underwhelming. The bar staff by the pool day and night seem so angry or unhappy. Whatever their issue (not their fault obviously) definitely put a dampner on the holiday as it felt like you were bothering them asking for a drink.

**UPDATE- The pools aren't heated and are ice cold. My little one absolutely loves the water and would not go near the water without screaming because of how cold it was. No tarp opened over the kids pool either for shade most days.

All in all, i wouldn't return to this place. The standards of a good 5 star hotel are usually great food and drinks, this hotel doesn't offer that or even a heated kids pool.
