This is a magnificent resort, a unique masterpiece of architecture. The hotel has borrowed many features from the ancient town of Rhodes and really stands out with its impressive colour combinations. Wealth, space and elegance are the predominant elements here. Guests become enchanted by the setting, the colours and the collection of wall paintings. The accommodation units are carefully appointed and offer all the comforts of a resort. All guest rooms feature individually regulated air-conditioning and heating and an en-suite bathroom. Guests of all ages can choose between the 3 freshwater swimming pools including a waterfall, a children's swimming area and a poolside snack bar, not forgetting the beautiful sandy beach, ideal for families and romantic couples.
Pamper yourself with a visit to the spa, which offers massages, body treatments and facials. After dipping into one of the 2 outdoor swimming pools, you can spend some time at the private beach. Additional amenities at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and babysitting (surcharge).
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We have just spent 10 days at Mitsis Rodos and, after reading some worrying reviews beforehand, we arrived open-minded and ready to enjoy our holiday.
The grounds are beautiful, and we chose a room with a shared pool, which was absolutely lovely and definitely one of the highlights of our stay.
Unfortunately, the food was a major disappointment. The buffet was, quite frankly, awful. Members of our party of nine were unwell on five out of the 10 days, which really put a dampener on our holiday.
I also cannot understand why there are no juice or soft drink machines for guests to help themselves to. Having to repeatedly ask a member of staff for a drink and then wait for it was very frustrating, especially when you are on an all-inclusive holiday.
Another thing that concerned us was the use of black latex gloves by the restaurant staff. They were wearing the same gloves while serving food, clearing plates and serving drinks, and we never saw them being changed or hands being washed between tasks. Given how many of us were unwell during our stay, this was particularly concerning and made us question whether hygiene practices could have played a part.
The children’s entertainment was another disappointment. The mini disco was okay, but the exact same songs were played every single night. Usually, this is a huge highlight for our children, but after a few nights they had become bored, which was such a shame. It also starts far too late at 9pm. The evening entertainment then started at around 10pm, which was simply too late for our children to stay up and enjoy, meaning we missed out on that completely.
The beach food trucks were another issue. There was absolutely no shade, and when we tried to spend some time there one day, it was so uncomfortable that nobody in our group could enjoy their food, so we ended up leaving.
On the whole, the staff were friendly and pleasant, although there were a couple of exceptions.
Overall, we would say we had a ‘good’ holiday, but unfortunately, we would not consider this a 5-star hotel. For the price we paid, we really don’t feel that it was worth the money, which is a real shame. We enjoyed certain aspects of our stay, particularly the beautiful grounds and our room with the shared pool, but unfortunately the food, hygiene concerns and entertainment meant that we would not return.
This is not a 5 star hotel, never any sunbeds!! We tried to go after breakfast which was considered a reasonable time 9am as the the hotel staff said your belongings will be removed by housekeeping to clean which is between 7am-8.30 am I have tried every time in between and cannot get a lounger so I went before 7am in the hope to get a couple which I did only for housekeeping to remove them, then on top of that they don’t replenish mini bar with water or tea, coffee etc you have to constantly ask, the beach has no available beds either as the sister hotel take most of them… their is a lot of ants also! The food in the main buffet is poor and a small selection considering how big this place is.. and if you want to book into al a carte restaurants you need to do it well in advance before you arrive. Honestly I wouldn’t waste your money. If you don’t like steps too I wouldn’t book this hotel it has a lot of steps… We have 6 days left and I’m so glad we have planned trips and meals booked to eat out!
It’s not a 5 start hotel. Don’t be fooled by the pictures
Bad points. All incusive buffet is the worst i have ever experianced. Rabbit stew, liver and plain pork. Not a great selection of food at all. Not what you pay £6k for supposedly 5 star. Had better 3 star all inclusive food. Breakfast is the same everyday with snotty fried eggs and no selection. Have to ask for water and orange juice same at dinner.
Only 1 beer on selection which gets very harsh after 4 or 5.
Couldnt book on any a la carte restaurant due to app not working properly then when it did all was fully booked up so missed out on these. Went to reception to be told you need to type in capitals for it to work. No information about entertainment so missed out on these aswell.
Good points Hotel is beautiful, room with shared pool was amazing. Best with been in
Bar staff are very friendly and chatty and go out of there way to help and make drinks which arnt on the menu. Also keep the drinks coming nothing is too much trouble for them
