Rodos Maris is a unique resort hotel, built on a vast beach in Kiotari on the southeast coast of Rhodes Island. The hotel's main restaurant specializes in Greek and international cuisine. The children's restaurant offers a variety of food, salads, pastries, ice-cream etc., supervised by qualified pedagogic personnel.
Pamper yourself with a visit to the spa, which offers massages, body treatments and facials. You're sure to appreciate the recreational amenities, which include 3 outdoor swimming pools, outdoor tennis courts and a water slide. Additional amenities at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and babysitting (surcharge).
I wasn’t initially going to leave a review, but after seeing a similar experience occur in July with the spa team, I feel it’s the right thing to do.
I booked in a head, shoulder, and back massage with my husband. Initially the massage was booked with my mother, but she offered my husband the treatment instead since we were on holiday with our baby and had little time alone together.
Both massage therapist’s were male. Personally, I would have preferred to be told in advance if the massage therapist would be male. As I was with my husband, I felt comfortable proceeding with the treatment.
We were told to remove our top layers and place the towels on top. When the therapists returned to the room, the towel was taken off me. I hadn’t had a massage before, so I didn’t know what to expect. A few minutes into the massage, while lying on my front, my underwear was rolled almost completely down. I felt uncomfortable and should have said something, but I thought it was just part of the treatment and that this therapist wouldn’t be inappropriate with my husband next to me, so I persevered. During the massage, the therapist frequently massaged lower than my back, and again, I should have said something because I personally felt uncomfortable, but I didn’t.
I’m writing this review to make guests aware of this experience if you plan to book in treatments. I plan to share my experience with the hotel.
I’ve left 2 stars because overall we enjoyed our stay, but this experience (which was on our last day) really did leave me shaken.
First time at Rodos Maris.We found a traditional Greek village surrounded by lush green gardens. The rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean, while the main restaurant offers a great variety of delicious food. The à la carte restaurants provide truly unique culinary experiences. The sea is crystal clear and absolutely delightful. The beach bars and kiosks, offering pizza, salads, noodles and more, make it easy to spend the whole day by the sea without having to leave. Every day, there are wonderful evening activities and entertainment for both children and adults. All of these high-quality services are made possible by the wonderful team at Rodos Maris. The greatest asset of the hotel is undoubtedly its people. This amazing team has created a uniquely warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave — as if you were at home. They are always there for you, ready to help with anything you may need, always with a smile, genuine care, passion and dedication to every guest. Many congratulations to the entire Rodos Maris team for the exceptional hospitality and the unique experience you offer to all your guests.
Just returned from 10 great days at the Rodos Maris. Mitsis have done it again. They fulfilled our expectations, as normal !! Have had the good fortune to visit many Mitsis Hotels over the years and this was the third visit to this particular hotel. Would I use Mitsis again, Absolutely, they have never let me down. Would I go Rodos Maris again? Of course I would without hesitation. Rodos Maris benefits from a great beachfront location. A good size well equipped room and the maid kept it very clean with her daily visits. In fact the whole complex is kept very clean. All the restaurant and bar options leave you wanting for nothing and this now includes the beach with the recent updates made. Make sure you use the à la carte restaurants. Remember, you must pre book these. Amazing staff throughout the hotel with a special call out to Elisavet working the terrace bar area. Loved it. Hope to return one day.
Fantastic. They really looked after me when they noticed I was in a strange situation. I can’t thank them enough for being so courteous. Lovely food and drinks and staff and location
The beach by the hotel is amazing. There could be more sun loungers and parasols, but the sea here is very clean. Room cleaning and minibar restocking took place regularly. The rooms were clean and well-equipped. The main bar serves excellent mixed drinks, though queues would sometimes form there. It could also do with more waiters, as it’s impossible to manage such a large bar with so few staff. In any case, the staff were very friendly, especially the waitress Elizabeth. Throughout the day, you can always pop in anywhere for a good meal. The main restaurant is spacious enough and offers a wide selection.
