Lindos Imperial Resort and Spa

Just returned from this hotel as a group of 14. Overall was a nice hotel maybe not worth the price and wasn’t 5star material.

Rooms We had a family room with sliding doors located near the seaside pool 1160 beautiful pool/sea view. Spacious and clean (few ant issues if food was left lying around by my kids but was swarming and was always clean after the maid attended) fresh towels when needed, sure we had bedding changed also. Air conditioning worked well, if the sliding doors were open, if they were closed the air conditioning didn’t reach the front section of the room. Only thing I would add is plug sockets next to the bedsides, there was one for the lamps but not to use for phones etc, although plenty in the room it’s self.

Food We did make use of the 3 à la carte visits and choose the steak (the waiter was amazing this was by far our favourite) the Asian (avoid the black bean beef dish was absolutely awful) otherwise the rest of the food was enjoyed the ribs went down a treat, and we had the seafood (service wasn’t the best here, food was okay). Buffet had a good selection for breakfast (freshly made omelettes were lovely and the nice gentlemen who makes them remembered our order after a few mornings it was a nice touch) and lunch, we only ate there twice for dinner, first experience was brilliant but the second night we struggled to find food to eat. We absolutely loved the activity pool bar food the Gyros were lovely my only issue was I wanted some chicken meat and chips for my daughter but they wouldn’t allow it separate, also I asked for some halloumi cheese with the chicken gyros but again wouldn’t give it me only as 2 full gyros? Was a bit frustrating.

Drinks Hmmmm this is where it fails, the best drinks were served at the activity pool as it was a lot of slushies probably the biggest selection I’ve seen, so us adults used to add vodka and have a alcoholic slush. The pop (Pepsi max, lemonade) never seems fizzy even the kids didn’t enjoy them as we have elsewhere. Plenty of water to help yourselves to. The cocktails were made by a machine and sadly they were too watery! We had a pornstar and it resembled pool water not upto to par probably some of the worst cocktails I’ve had and the last hotel I visited in Spain had machine made cocktails. Also a bug bare the Pina coladas were not made with milk and depending who served you depended on them having an issue using milk. There is a lovely American team member in the main bar who went above and beyond to make your drink nice. The sex on the beach was the only cocktail I got in with but no fresh orange juice. Was a shame.

Location Nothing local to walk to, except a small supermarket. There is a nice sandy beach Gylstra 11/12mins walk across the beach front, highly recommended a trip, there are sunbeds to hire we paid €25 for 2 beds not on the front row. Nicely padded, the area just needs a bar and toilet facilities and you could last all day. We used the kiotari land train to get to kiotari town it’s expensive €8 adult (kids 12+) €6 child. We got the bus back €2 each. On your list of things to do you MUST visit NOSH restaurant in Kiotari absolutely amazing food HUGE food portions be warned! Worth every single penny! Great service. We also got a taxi to Lindos town (taxis are so expensive €100 each way for a 25min journey for 14 of us in a mini bus, but €40 for a single small taxi) be warned there is a huge hill down to lindos town and a big walk back up after, beautiful location worth a visit! Try and get a roof top restaurant booking it’s stunning we ate at acropolis which has views of the acropolis it was stunning food nice service.

Entertainment The staff were brilliant around the activity pool tried to get you involved and made you feel welcome. We enjoyed many pool side games and activities during the holiday. The slides are a great feature the kids loved them and the adults.

Pools As a sun worshiper be warned the sunbed umbrellas are fixed up! So it was really frustrating moving sunbeds and trying to get around the busy pools as others wanted the get the sun too. This needs changing for sure.

Spa Pool towels are €10 we had 4. They can be changed every 2 days at the spa. I visited the spa had an anti stress massage €40 some spas offer a reduced rate if you book as you arrive this wasn’t the case, the massage was nice enough now where to sit and chill after and they wait outside the room for you to get changed and leave. You have to book the spa facilities which I did, not the best really, steam rooms didn’t work 2 saunas one was warm the other not. Not the best spa and the staff at the front desk sometimes didn’t acknowledge you, my friends husband stood waiting to be acknowledged and he just wanted to return the towel they gave me eye contact first so it was a bit frustrating.

Overall I wouldn’t return, but we had such a laugh with friends and family. Isn’t 5 star id say low 4 star. Areas could be improved tho.

We recently took part in the Astronomy night with Stratos Koufos at the hotel. What a fantastic evening to have been able to participate in. I’ve not come across a hotel offering this before, so it was a treat to see. Stratos was brilliant, very friendly, funny and informative! We got to see some amazing astronomical objects and even got some photos to keep too.. It’s a must to attend!

Great hotel, fascilities and friendly hard working staff. Room location suited us (×3 rooms) and close to central pool and beachside. Restaurant , exceptional choice of meals to suit everyone. A steep walk to childrens activity pool but plenty of space and fun when there. Poolside bar fascility great for food and drinks. Would happily return. Glass bottom boat trip a great way to see the island from the coast and Lindos views of the Accropolis. Captain of the boat very nice guy, informative and funny. Entertainment well worth a visit in the evenings with themed shows and childrens disco. The Animation Team are exceptional and full of fun and energy. They are a hard working team that deserve more . You see them from morning to night and never without a smile or a wave. Our Grandaughter had a wonderful.time . Thank You !!
