Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
I will start by saying that the staff, cleanliness and food at this hotel are all excellent. We were all inclusive and couldn't fault the food. Theme nights with plenty of variety. The staff were all great but special mention to Nikos (who makes the lunch service run like clockwork). Christina the hardest working pool bartender I know. Litsa on reception who was always friendly and helpful. Lastly and by no means least Olya who was great with all the customers and children.
Now to the downside of the hotel. my wife has walking difficulties and as such we need a room with a walk-in shower rather than a shower over a bath. Unfortunately the travel company did not relay this request to the hotel so when we arrived we found that we were allocated a room with a bath. Upon asking at reception I was informed that there only two rooms in the whole hotel with walk in showers and they were allocated. This is a hotel with over 200 bedrooms!! the lifts are also small and not big enough for a wheelchair. I realise that this is an older hotel and that when it was built it would have been mainly baths but times have changed. I assume that the hotel will be largely closed down over the winter? would it not be an ideal time to start a rolling program of bathroom modernisations? The rest of the bedroom is fine with plenty of storage space, a flat-screen TV, a safe, kettle, comfy beds and a balcony. It is just the bathroom that would need done.
Just a note on the breakfast layout. Where the tea and coffee are situated the vast majority of diners will have to walk back thought the children's section to get to their table carrying cups of hot tea etc. I know it is late in the season but would it be an idea to relocate it for next year to avoid any potential safety issues?
Would I return? Yes, but I suspect I won't be able to unless there are major refurbishments in the bathrooms.

We had a lovely week at the Atlantica Princess hotel during the school holidays. We came with our 5 year old who absolutely loved the kids pool and slide and the kids disco each night.
We could not fault any of the staff here at the hotel from the greeters at the restaurant to the bar staff especially in the evening the gentleman got to know your order and would bring you a new drink when it was getting low. We also never had any issues getting sunbeds in the area we wanted to sit usually around 9am even during busy school holidays.
Another highlight was the evening entertainment in particular the acrobatic show was brilliant. The food in the hotel was nice and we always found something to each meal. We also used the reception organised mini bus to visit Old Rhodes town one evening and would highly recommend doing this to see the sights of the area.
Special mention to a special member of staff at a sister hotel at Atlantic Eleon Grand in Zante, Kalliroy their guest relations manager/ our wedding coordinator last September knew we was visiting Rhodes and organised for fruit, desserts and a bottle of wine to be sent to our room as a lovely surprise during our stay.
We would highly recommend this hotel to families wanting a small but friendly, clean hotel.
We had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend this hotel. What really makes it special is the warm, friendly atmosphere. The staff are genuinely lovely and welcoming throughout every area of the hotel, and the service we received was excellent.
From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel incredibly welcome. Even the resident dog in reception adds to the character and charm of the place! 🐶❤️
If you’re looking for a hotel where you can relax, feel comfortable and genuinely feel at home, this is definitely one to consider. I think it would suit families, couples of all ages and groups looking for a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
🏨 The hotel & atmosphere
The hotel is quite dated in places, so if you’re looking for something ultra-modern and chic, this probably isn’t the hotel for you. However, it is exceptionally clean, and personally I think the welcoming atmosphere more than makes up for the lack of modern styling.
There’s a lovely, relaxed feel throughout the hotel, and it never felt pretentious or overly formal.
👏 The staff
The staff are honestly one of the biggest highlights.
Everyone we came across — reception, restaurant staff, bar staff and housekeeping — was friendly, helpful and attentive. Nothing seemed too much trouble, and we were consistently made to feel welcome.
It’s clear that the staff work incredibly hard, particularly when the hotel is busy, and their efforts really do make a difference to the overall experience.
🍽️ Food & drinks
Overall, the food was good, with a decent variety of options.
Breakfast was particularly good, while lunch was a little less impressive. There is, however, the poolside snack bar, which gives you another option during the day. Dinner was enjoyable, with a good choice of dishes.
The one disappointment for us was the Aegean Breeze restaurant. We had the mixed grill, which unfortunately was very disappointing, and it’s probably not something we would choose again.
The location of the restaurant is also quite close to the entertainment area, which means it doesn’t really have the intimate atmosphere you might expect from a separate restaurant.
The drinks were fairly standard for an all-inclusive hotel and were what we would expect.
🎤 Entertainment
We didn’t watch much of the entertainment, so I can’t give a particularly detailed opinion. From what we did see, it appeared to be more focused towards children and families rather than adults. Aqua aerobics is fab!!

The pools were fantastic.
The children’s pool area in particular is brilliant and I would highly recommend this hotel to families with young children. There is plenty to keep them entertained, and the pool facilities are a real highlight.
💡 A few suggestions
Although we really enjoyed our stay, I do think there are a few relatively simple improvements that could make the hotel even better:
The drinks stations around the pool are a great idea. I think adding a liquid waste bin, along with clearly separated food waste, recycling and general rubbish bins — preferably with lids — would make them even better. This would help keep the area cleaner and reduce flies, while also making things easier for the hardworking staff when the hotel is busy.
There are already a couple around the pool, which is great. Adding one near reception and perhaps on each floor would be really useful, particularly for guests wanting to refill bottles throughout the day.
The grab-and-go fridge in the snack bar is a brilliant idea. I think it could be improved further with a wider selection of sandwiches, children’s yoghurts and perhaps smoothies.
During the busier summer months, I imagine the queues at the bar can become quite long. Additional self-service drinks dispensers, similar to the iced tea dispenser already available in reception, could help enormously. Fruit juices and fizzy drinks would be ideal.
I think activities could attract even more guests if they were promoted around the pool shortly before they start. Having someone walk around the pool approximately 10 minutes beforehand to let guests know what is about to begin could make a big difference.
A self-service taxi booking screen could also be useful. As taxis are already booked through a booking system, giving guests the option to arrange their own taxi could help reduce pressure on reception, particularly at busy times.
Should be lockable and more secure. Currently anyone can go in and it is not visible from reception staff.
❤️ Overall
We genuinely loved our stay.
This hotel may not be the most modern or luxurious, but what it does have is something that can be much harder to achieve — a genuinely warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
The staff are fantastic, the pools are great, the hotel is exceptionally clean and there is a lovely feeling of being made to feel at home.
With a few relatively small improvements, I think this hotel could be even better.
We would happily return and would definitely recommend it — especially to families, couples and anyone looking for a relaxed hotel with fantastic staff and a real home-from-home feel. ❤️
The receptionist was very kind and helpful the food was not bad the room service also one day the didn’t remove the emty bottle under the bed and do not tide the bed we asked them why they told us that when you will be checked out next day the wont do it otherwise the tide our parents room the waitress were very kind and hard working we see them all day the pool was clean and perfect the internet was bad at the rooms and something else we were all inclusive and if we want popcorn or slash some drinks they charge us for it and the old chef on the egg station i asked him to cook me an scrambled egg for my daughter because she liked it dry he refuse and told there is at the buffet either way everything was good we enjoyed it thanks 🙏🏻
