Total disappointment. I booked three rooms with sea view, but recieved rooms with side view on another hotel and trash bins. Ladies on the reception could not solve the issue, the hotel is fully booked explaining that there is no side view rooms in this hotel only land view and sea view. They told me it is my fault I did not write comment. But sea view implies sea view, not the view on snother premises, it is hotels problem if they call side view somehow different. When booking rooms through Booking.com there are pictures of pool side view with sea. I asked to cancel my booking, cause the view is crucial to me, the ladies on ghe reception refused. My short holidays are totally ruined.
We were here last week, me and my 2 kids had an virus or food poisining and we couldnt move ourselves from the room, when we talked with the reception at 24 clock at night we needed help, they answered " what can i do? " Other days when we ask smt in the reception, i did not see any smiling face ! there was only 1 friendly person in the restaurant. That was Vassilis , he was always helpful and smiling , the rest seems fed up of the people ! Thank you Vassilis ! He is working at the end of the restaurant part :)
The location of the hotel is good right on beach though not sandy so need swim shoes. The shops and restaurants just down the road. The hotel its self isn’t modern but it’s clean. Most of the staff were very nice and friendly and worked very hard, big shout out to Ben and Sami who kept us entertained. Only one negative there isn’t much for younger kids. The food is ok usually find something if your fussy we went HB and ate at the pool bar on the afternoon and the food was good. We had a good holiday nice and chilled would probably return.
Arrived to the hotel at night and was met with a not so friendly face, and didn't leave us with a great impression, the rooms they were clean, enough space for us a little dated and a great sea view. The maids were always friendly. Breakfast was the usual but something for everyone including cereals, yoghurt, fruit and toppings, they also had mixed veg and salads on mornings. The staff in the restaurant were polite and always found us a table. We stayed half board so didn't have lunch, we did use the pool bar instead, again good mix of foods we all found something we liked, pizza was a hit with the kids, the gyros were nice, and the pool bar manager (usual served us on the half board side) was such a lovely man. Getting beds wasn't as crazy as some places but still need to be down before breakfast if your fussy about where you want, its better that they now have more umbrellas, BUT they really do need to change those sunbeds, uncomfortable and majority stained with some ripped. The deepest part of the pool was around 1.35 in the middle, good for kids , but it did stain most of our swim costumes yellow. Each morning a visit to the shop in the hotel and the two ladies were nice and would greet us each day. You do need to pay for sunbeds and umbrellas down by the beach. The activities around the pool were stretching (on the grass by the beach), water polo, Aqua Aerobics, table tennis, darts, Water Volleyball. Special shout out to Sami and Ben, they were some of the best, always a good morning, wasn't pushy getting you to join in and they really tried to work with what they had. Music was played around the pool. Evening meals were hit and miss, typical themes, Italian, tacos, Chinese, Greek etc. They did always have pastas, sauces, chips and salads. The desserts weren't to bad along with fruit each evening. Evening entertainment wasn't great most nights, some singers, cabaret, the Greek night was brilliant, and the fire show with Ben we enjoyed. Bingo night was also a hit. I did feel like Sami and Ben have such a hard job, they definitely could do with 2 more entertainers to help them, which could also see some more inhouse entertainment Ben was such a funny guy I can totally see him doing some comedy shows, like other hotels. I think more needs to be done its not great for young children they need some female entertainment to bring back the kids club and mini disco. This is no fault to Ben and Sami. The hotel is close to the shops and restaurants. There was a taxi place down the road but good luck, bus route not to far away, we did end up booking the private taxi at the desk inside the hotel, the lady was helpful getting us set up for a trip to the old town. A few arcade games, 2 pool tables and air hockey for the kids behind the bar. The drinks were pricey for a hotel, but I'm glad we didn't go all inclusive as what we saw didn't seem worth it. Overall the hotel was average, if they made some changes I wouldn't hesitate to book here again, yes its on the flight path so noise from the planes is to be expected, couldn't really hear it from the rooms and around the pool we adjusted and made a game of guessing which airline was flying over. The heat we had being on the windy side of the island we were thankful for the breeze most days.
We had a fantastic time at this hotel. The weather was perfect with a constant warm breeze so we never once had to sit under an umbrella. We found the food to be good and varied and the drinks were ok. We had a bungalow with garden view which was fine for us and ideally located. The entertainment was fun with the guys you just need to let go and take part. We feel that the only thing that lets the hotels down for us was the pebble beach if it had a sandy beach then 5 stars no problem. There’s a good international relaxed vibe nerd and we can only recommend you go and enjoy your stay like we did. Big up to Ben and Sami the old boys were great fun.
