Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Positives Great balance between adult 5 star and kids needs Kids entertainment was great and staff brilliant , our grandkids are 2 and 9 months and loved the evening entertainment for kids Food quality was good - only ate in 2 à la carte and they were good. American was better than the Greek. Room cleanliness and general resort upkeep was fantastic Staff were all super helpful ( bar one mentioned in negatives) Room cleaning staff were lovely
Negatives There is an adult pool with fantastic quality sunbeds and umbrellas. Right next to a family pool where the quality of both beds and umbrellas was appalling, the hotel needs to remember the families probably paid more than the adults but get cheap beds and the umbrellas were impossible and dangerous. We were trying to find one we could put up without 4 people involved.
The mini bar in the room is very basic. A couple of cans and that’s it. 5 star I expect better.
We ran out of shower gel and shampoo, I don’t expect to have to ask, would hope they would be checked by housekeeping
The coffee shop is extortionate for what can be got for free at the bar
One staff member at the family pool, older guy was so rude, felt we were imposing all the time
Room 3025, fantastic sea front own pool suite except you get zero sun from lunchtime so I wouldn’t have that room again
Beautiful hotel and room with swim up option. Annoyingly when we arrived pool was extremely dirty with items in front of previous guests. Advertised as family friendly hotel but all pools are around 20 degrees and there isn’t an actual baby pool. Our baby girl loves the water so getting in isn’t an issue but after a few minutes was shivering and due to her being only 10 months old we cannot take the risk. Extremely unfair of the hotel to only heat pools when it’s out of season as if they’re not getting enough money from guests. Food has been very average at the hotel. The wine that they provide in the evening is the lowest quality you could find and just general produce is really shocking. Lots of guests struggling to find dishes that suit them as it’s a real mismatch of options. One thing which someone has also mentioned in the review is how the family pool area has basic sunbeds and umbrellas whereas the adult pool feels luxury. Hotel doesn’t feel like it’s suited for children lots of slippery surfaces and high chairs that were missing safety straps. Really disappointing so far :(
I had two treatments whilst staying at this hotel in the spa area, the first couples massage with my husband on the 14th sep and it was absolutely amazing Jennie really listened to what I needed from her and as a wheelchair user I can get worried that people will forget that my body is sensitive but she listened all the way through and even helped me to transfer back to my wheelchair when we had finished. The second was a ice queen facial by adalina ( sorry for the poor spelling) on the 18th again I was listened to help me to transfer to my wheelchair when finished and even noticed I needed another towel under my legs to stop my spasms. This is our 4th stay now at Atlantica Dreams &, as a couple who don't generally visit the same place more than once or twice, that should say everything you need to know.
I won't write a massively detailed review, as my previous reviews are on my profile & still stand, but it might be useful to mention some of the things that are even better than last year.
On the beach - comfier beds, and the adult only cabanas, are brilliant. We're more pool than beach people, but have spent more time than ever down on the beach. The service from Jerry & the team there has been first rate - friendly, efficient, and just generally really relaxing.
By the pools - waiter service around the pools (special shout out to Dimitrios!) had been the best we've known it... & the introduction of enhanced beds / umbrellas, waiter-service ice-creams, and strict adherance to not reserving sunbeds, are all really welcome enhancements. Although the adults-only area is great now, we found ourselves spending more time in the general areas... the beds are still comfy, the service is still great, and there is always something going on.
Food & Drink - the food / drink offering here has always been excellent, but this year it has gone up another level. We've not had anything less than a 'great' meal... adults only breakfast is ace, the mexican food truck is a brilliant addition, all of the a la cartes have been great, but we'd give a special mention to Alexander in Kuzina (5* service and what a nice bloke, and the whole team (led by Dimi) in Liberty... Liberty on previous visits has been our least preferred, but it was unreal this year... great service, food and atmosphere... it'll be our first one to book next time!
It is also only right we give a mention to some of the brilliant bar staff - the service, quality of drinks and (most importantly for us) good humour just makes us feel right at home. Thanos, Romario, Paola & Geloro are the heart beat of a great night in the piano bar.... a proper team, with properly good humour, who work incredibly hard to keep everybody refreshed every night.
There are other people too - Cherry, Harris, the lady who makes great coffee in the morning at the piano bar, and the cleaners who kept our duplex suite immaculate, who just make the holiday that bit 'special'. Its been great to see so many familiar faces from previous visits, as well as getting to know the new staff too.
Finally, we have to just simply say THANK YOU to Marios & Michelle from guest relations, Andreas from reception, and the GM Andreas, for welcoming and treating us like old friends. Every time we come here we are looked after so well, checked in on, and nothing is too much trouble - all absolute superstars and I hope the hotel group know how special these people are. We've even learned more about the area, & Greek culture (name days are a thing here!) just from sitting down and chatting to this team.
In short - the hotel is beautiful and immaculately clean, the food / drinks / services are brilliant, but more than anything its the people who keep us coming back.

Fabulous food, anyone complaining about a pool being too cold for a 10 month old baby, should not put it in for so long ! I don’t normally write a review, but having read recent ones, l would just pack your bags and come
