Located 8 km from Rhodes town, the hotel is a luxurious refuge after an exciting day in the resort. The rooms are comfortably equipped with all the necessary amenities. The restaurants offer numerous gastronomic delights. At all bars, a large variety of hors d'oeuvres, snacks, ice cream, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are given richly. The Spa and wellness centre delights guests' senses. It is a paradise for families.
The staff at the Nightbar was just perfect. Especially Dimitris and Michaelis. They were really attentive and nice. Thank you !
We’ve just returned from a fantastic week away.
We stayed in room 920, directly under the night bar, and could clearly hear chairs scraping early in the morning and late at night. Reception did offer us a room change, but as we were already unpacked—and the location was ideal for us as a family (close to the pool and restaurant)—we chose to stay. We eventually got used to the noise, but anyone sensitive to sound may find this room challenging.
The rooms themselves are a little dated and would benefit from modernisation and improved soundproofing. Noise from the corridor, especially from children running and shouting late at night, often sounded as though it was inside our room.
Food throughout the week was very good and varied, with different themed evenings that the kids really enjoyed. The pizza and pasta van, American food truck, and Wok & Go were all excellent, though the 12:30/1pm opening time felt a bit late for us.
The pool area was lovely, but drink service was inconsistent—some days we waited quite a while for staff to come around. A special mention to Franco, who worked incredibly hard and was always friendly.
Sunbeds: If you want to be right by the pool, most were reserved by around 8:30/9am. There were still beds available later, just not directly poolside. A towel bin closer to the main pool would be helpful, as the nearest one was on the beach, which sometimes led to towels being left on beds.
Evening entertainment was very good, and we found all staff friendly and chatty. The Full Moon Party was a real highlight—great food, brilliant atmosphere, and the kids loved the fireworks.
The bus stop outside the hotel made trips to Faliraki and Rhodes Town really easy. The kids also enjoyed the water inflatable (€10 for an hour).
Overall, we had a great holiday and would happily return, with just a few improvements that could make the experience even better.
We had an amazing time there, the Greek restaurant with Nana was amazing, she was kind and helpful.we water was amazing, and we will definitely come back!
We recently stayed at the Mitsis Selection Alila as a family of five (2 adults, 3 children) on Level 7. While there were some definite highlights regarding the room itself, the overall experience was incredibly disappointing. On paper, this is rated as a 5-star resort, but in real life, it behaves closer to a 3-star hotel. The price you pay is definitely not worth the experience you get. In general, the vibe from the staff makes you feel entirely unwelcome—almost like you should just leave the island right away. During one dinner, the environment felt so tense and chaotic that we actually saw one of the staff members crying right in front of the guests. Here is our honest breakdown: The Pros: Spacious Rooms: The room size was excellent and easily accommodated our family of five without feeling cramped. Good Sleep Quality: The beds were perfectly comfortable and easy to sleep on. Peace and Quiet: Located on Level 7, we experienced absolutely no outside noise from other rooms, which was great for the kids. Fantastic Housekeeping: The cleaning staff were highly efficient, thorough, and always friendly. They were a genuine bright spot in our stay. The Cons: Hostile and Unwelcoming Atmosphere: As mentioned, the service felt incredibly tense. The staff at the creperie were especially rude, making us feel like an inconvenience just for ordering. Painfully Slow Service: The service efficiency is non-existent. At dinner, it took a staggering 50 minutes just to get our drinks delivered to the table. You spend your holiday waiting! Waiting for the elevator (which are also super slow), waiting for The staff to notice you, waiting for food, waiting for drinks. All you do is wait and get treated like you are a criminal. Subpar Food & Foul-Smelling Drinks: The overall food quality was highly disappointing. Worse, however, were the drinks. The water at the restaurants had a very strange taste and smell. Even the Sprite tasted bizarre and literally smelled like sewage water. Pool & Sunbed Shortage: The pools are far too small for a resort of this size. To make matters worse, the pool area frequently smelled like sewage, and there are definitely not enough sunbeds to accommodate the guests. Verdict: The hard product (the room size, comfort, and cleanliness) is there, but the soft product (hospitality, food quality, and basic maintenance) is severely lacking. You are paying premium 5-star prices for mid-tier 3-star service and a highly uncomfortable atmosphere. We would not return.
We had a wonderful experience at the hotel. Everything was fantastic — the food was delicious, the facilities were beautiful and comfortable, and the staff were always friendly, attentive and professional.
A very special mention goes to Nana, who looked after us every day. She was absolutely exceptional! Always so kind, cheerful, welcoming and ready to help us with anything we needed. She made us feel genuinely cared for and always greeted us with a beautiful smile.
Nana truly made our stay even more special, and she is definitely someone we will remember with great affection. We absolutely loved her! ❤️
Thank you to the entire team for such a lovely experience, and especially to Nana for making our days at the hotel even better. We would happily come back! ⭐️
