Mitsis Alila Resort and Spa

Such a lovely place. Loved the atmosphere, the rooms and facilities! Especially loved the spa and massage with Stergiana and Despoina. One of the best deep tissue massages I have ever had! Definitely worth a return.

First things first the people. (The Hotel was lovely but its the final touch that people bring that makes a holiday stand out) So a special shout out to the following people who were exceptional ;

Beach Bar - Nicholas and George, thanks guys!! (And Kara says hi) Night Bar - Theodora who kept us topped up with wonderful cocktails and surprise shots!!! Creperie - Elena, who was brilliant !! (And all the rest of the staff there as well) Champagne Bar - Magda. Our favourite place to go in the evenings (Beach bar in the day) Maga thanks for being such a great host. Brunch - Aphrodite, again brilliant service and a smiling face. Yoga - Maria. Kara says hi and thanks for the lessons!!! Our cleaning lady (room 935) Sorry I did not get your name but thanks!! And everywhere else, just brilliant - thank you.

To the review. The room with a pool, brilliant and the Friday stock daily with soft drinks, beer and wine. Cleaned spotlessly. No worries with sunbeds we had our own, it was great to be able to go from the room to the pool in two steps!

The ambience at the Alila is very good, its a nice place to be.

The food here is exceptional. The ala carte options are very, very good. The main buffet restaurant was of a very high standard as well.

Ranked in order (and they were all very good or outstanding). Pan Asian, Mexican, Italian, Burger, Crepe Bar, Pita Bar, Ellinakdos,)

Also a special mention to the Pizza place down next to the beach bar, who were creating very tasty authentic pizza all day long to snack on.

Downsides. Not many - we could not get a late checkout room even though we booked it way in advance. Checkout felt a little haphazard but maybe I was just feeling off as I was having to go.

TIP, book the restaurant's way before you go on the Mitsis website to avoid disappointment.

Highlights. Go diving at Waterhoppers out of Rhodes old town (I got my PADI open water cert which was a lot of fun and hard work!) Bart and Mike - thanks!

Honestly it was a great holiday at a lovely hotel, where service genuinely mattered.

If I wanted to pick I could, there are always things you think could be a little better. But what's the point we all came back thinking it was a brilliant place.

Lastly and If I am brutally honest, if this place was an adults-only hotel it would be nirvana!

We stayed at Mitsis Selection Alila for 14 nights as a family of five, and it was genuinely one of the best holidays we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome, relaxed, and completely looked after. Every single person we met was warm, attentive, and went out of their way to make our stay special.

The food was outstanding throughout our stay — varied, fresh, beautifully presented, and consistently delicious. Whether it was the main buffet, the à la carte restaurants, or the snacks throughout the day, everything was top quality. Our kids loved the range of options, and we were spoiled for choice every day.

The service across the hotel was exceptional. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and the team were always smiling, professional, and genuinely kind.

The facilities are superb — beautiful pools, a stunning beachfront, great entertainment, and plenty of activities for all ages. The hotel is immaculate, stylish, and incredibly well run. We felt relaxed from day one and never once had a moment where something wasn’t perfect.

If we had to mention one small thing, it’s that the rooms are a little compact for a family of five. However, they were always perfectly clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and this didn’t take away from how much we enjoyed our stay.

After 14 nights, we left feeling refreshed, happy, and already talking about when we can return. Mitsis Selection Alila is a truly exceptional hotel, and we couldn’t recommend it highly enough for families. Everything was outstanding.
