Esperos Village Blue and Spa Resort

We first stayed at this hotel in 1992 for our honeymoon and were impressed with it then. We arrived very late but check in was quick with a welcome glass of Prosecco. There were sandwiches in our room fridge as we were so late to arrive. We booked a skyline room which came with a private pool and it did not disappoint. Everything was spotlessly clean with lovely toiletries, soft towels, robes and pool towels in a pool bag. Our water and tea were replenished every day. The bed is the comfiest we have ever slept in and that includes our own! The pool was cold but after a couple of days we got used to it. A couple of times it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned properly but not a big issue for us as we understand there’s a lot of trees and gardens areas so bits of foliage will get blown about. There are courtesy buses but we didn’t use them as we like to walk. We never used the main pool as we were out walking every day but it is a beautiful area with luxurious padded beds. Food in general was very good, with different themed evenings and we enjoyed the fresh dishes from the chefs. We also ate in the burger restaurant as part of our HB package which was very nice and the staff there were fabulous. The pool bar was a nice place to have a drink before and after dinner and we thought the prices were reasonable. The entertainment was also good, different each night and therefore a wide selection of music for most tastes from classical to Greek to 70/80’s and Motown. We had a late pick up so we needed the courtesy room to shower & change. Great facilities - large room with a shower, loo, hairdryer and plenty of towels. Just book your time slot with reception. All the staff we had contact with were polite, efficient and good at their job. The on site shop is also useful for extra water, snacks and ice creams and not expensive. We were also impressed with security on the gate - every afternoon when we came back from our walk we were asked to show our room card. Most of the time it was a young man who recognised us after a couple of days but we still had to show it to him, which was a good thing in our opinion. We hope to visit again, hopefully in a couple of years and not 34! 🤣

We have just returned from a fabulous two weeks at Esperos Village. The holiday began with an efficient check-in and an offer of water or sparkling wine to drink, followed by friendly staff transporting us and our luggage by vehicle to our room up the hill. Our Summer Room was spacious and well appointed but only gave a distant side glimpse of the sea, not the Sea Vew we had expected; also, the private pool was in full shade by midday and felt very cool, which meant we did not use it much.
We ate all our meals in the beautiful Panorama Restaurant and found the buffets varied, attractively presented, high quality and delicious. No foods are labelled for allergy sufferers but a chef showed my daughter round the buffet each night to identify safe choices for her. Special thanks must go to (restaurant staff) Makis and Analyn who were so friendly to us- we appreciated their care and attention- also Eva who greeted us warmly at the restaurant entrance. Unfortunately we noticed that some guests were rude to staff and unnecessarily impatient at times and earned extra attention from the managers which they really did not deserve. We discovered that it is necessary to get to the pool area shortly after breakfast if you want to get sunbeds, otherwise you will be stuck until some become available later in the day. There is a well-stocked shop which sells drinks and snacks much cheaper than you pay for the pool/bar service. We enjoyed the hotel entertainment on a few nights, including a Motown/Soul band and a 'pop music through the decades' girl group, although the standard was not as good on other nights. Savvas was the friendly waiter who served us with a smile and remembered our drink preferences. The hotel reception team included Nikki who was so friendly whenever she greeted my daughter. The courtesy bus provides a valuable service for taking guests to the beach or dropping off near the local bus stop at the bottom of the hill. There are a lot of steps to climb to reach some of the rooms but the views make it worthwhile. The hotel staff work so hard to ensure that guests enjoy their stay at this hotel.

Our second stay at Esperos Village was again exceptional from start to finish. The hotel is beautifully designed, with breathtaking views, a peaceful atmosphere, and immaculate rooms that were both stylish and incredibly comfortable. The choice and quality of food was incredible. What truly made our holiday special was the outstanding hospitality. A special thank you to the wonderful Noula, Olga, and Marijoice, who were always so warm, friendly, and attentive. Their kindness, smiles and hugs made every meal a pleasure, and they went out of their way to make us feel so special throughout our stay. The location is perfect for enjoying the beach, with special thanks to the driver who transported us each day. We appreciated the little wave to say goodbye while we waited for our transport to the airport. We can't recommend your hotel highly enough. We had the most memorable holiday and we look forward to seeing everyone again!
