Amada Colossos Resort

We have just returned from a wonderful 10-day stay, and we cannot thank everyone at the hotel enough for making our holiday so special.

Although the hotel was completely full and incredibly busy during our stay, everything was exceptionally well organised. The whole operation ran so smoothly that you would never have known how busy it was. This is a real credit to the management team and every member of staff.

From the moment we arrived until the day we left, everyone went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine care made such a difference and created an atmosphere where we truly felt at home.

The food was outstanding throughout our stay, with a fantastic variety and excellent quality every day. Our room was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable, and the facilities were excellent and meticulously maintained. Having the water park included was a fantastic bonus and added even more enjoyment to our holiday.

The hotel grounds were beautifully maintained, creating a lovely environment to relax in. We also really appreciated that there were plenty of sunbeds available around both the swimming pools and the beach, so there was never any need to rush out early to find a place to relax. The beach restaurant and bar were another highlight, offering an excellent variety of freshly prepared snacks and refreshing drinks throughout the day, making it easy to enjoy lunch or a drink without leaving the beach.

We have travelled extensively over the years and have stayed in hotels all over the world. What impressed us most here was not only the excellent facilities, but just how well the hotel was managed. Even at full capacity, everything operated seamlessly, and the positive atmosphere created by what appeared to be a genuinely happy and motivated team was evident throughout our stay. That speaks volumes about the leadership and the culture of the hotel.

The beach itself is lovely, with crystal-clear water and a beautiful setting. It is a shingle beach, and there are stones in the water, so we would definitely recommend bringing water shoes, as they make getting in and out of the sea much more comfortable. Once in the water, the clarity is fantastic and it is a wonderful place to swim and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Cocktails/bar staff/variety of drinks and service time. Strawberry daiquiris superb. There were 2-3 pages of cocktails on the menu. Spirit brands were basic/we’d never heard of them - but staff fantastic at making the drinks and adapting the drinks, we could not tell the difference. You can go to the cocktail lounge for name spirits, for example, absolute vanilla, which doesn’t cost extra. Massive shout out to Thanos at the adult pool bar and the team at the main bar in the evening including Febri. Food was pretty good dinner was highlight in particular Chinese night and Amada theme. Genuinely something for everyone. Breakfast was same-y but a good standard, a nice bacon present for the British there. Pancakes good but waffles very disappointing because if you went to breakfast at opening, you wouldn’t see them as they weren’t put out for half an hour. Lunch was basic but fine and snack bar did the job (burger, chicken, chips)but wasn’t going to win any awards. Room was great we had a sea view which made it nice to sit out on the balcony. Room had everything you would need no issues with cleanliness Sea was extremely clear water only let down by rocky shore but out of hotels control. Pool was very good and spacious and adults only area was where we frequented and was being well managed in kicking kids out.

Water slides. This is important for the families considering this hotel. In comparison to similar all inclusive resorts, which would have all slides open at all times, the big let down for Amada Colossus was only having one slide open at a time. It led to longer queues, them becoming a bit stale and we didn’t get to try all the slides.

Ice creams serving a time in prison locked away although soft scoop is included you have to pay for any others this in not in line with other similar all inclusive resorts.

There’s a lot of talk of the great Amada sunbed war. Realistically sunbeds were all taken by about 9 latest a lot of reserving and not using. Saw no towel removal. If you are an early riser however this is not a problem we always got a bed front row in the adults only section at 7:30am, so it wasn’t an issue. Minor maintenance bits needing attention which we did see happening when there however I did get a minor cut on my foot on a loose pool tile when telling reception they said they would pass it on but was still an issue when we left. Gym basic but functional. One equipment out of use.

Would stay at Amada again, but that’s primarily due to the experience created by the staff and bar staff, who were fantastic at seeing you and making up the drinks without even being asked. The thing that would hold us back from staying again would be the water slide issue, other than that we had an amazing time.

Also additional note, every other 5* resort has given us a free minibar each time, this resort just gives you two bottles of room temp water, I’m not complaining about it, it’s just a comparison.

We had an amazing stay at Amada Colossos Resort, and from the moment we arrived until the day we left, everything exceeded our expectations. The hotel is beautiful, spotless, and very well maintained. The rooms are comfortable, the food is varied and delicious, and the facilities, especially the pools and activity area are perfect for families.

What truly made our vacation special, however, was the outstanding staff. Everyone was friendly, professional, and always made us feel welcome.

We would especially like to thank Iliana, who was absolutely exceptional. Throughout our stay, she took the time to guide us, recommend the best activities for our family, and explain everything the hotel had to offer. She always greeted us with a genuine smile, was happy to answer every question, and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed every moment of our holiday. Her kindness, professionalism, and dedication made a real difference, and she is one of the main reasons our stay was so memorable.
