The stylish and ample Sentido Asterias Beach Resort consists of a main building and several adjoining buildings with a total of 178 rooms spread over 3 floors. The main building houses the reception area with a lobby, the main restaurant, an elevator, a mini market, various bars, a conference room, and an Internet terminal (for a fee). The outdoor area features a spacious fresh water poolcomplex with a separate children's pool and a sun terrace that invite you to linger. Sun loungers, sun umbrellas, and towels are available free of charge at the pool and on the beach.

A lovely family holiday in a peaceful hotel
We’ve just come back from a week at Astirias Beach Resort and had a really lovely holiday.
We’re a family of three with a seven-year-old and this hotel suited us really well. It’s definitely more of a peaceful, laid-back hotel than one with loads of entertainment, but that was exactly what we wanted.
The main pool is a really good layout, with shallow areas around the outside and a deeper section in the middle, so our daughter could happily play while we relaxed nearby. There’s also a small splash park. She enjoyed it, although towards the end of the week she was getting a bit bored as there’s only one slide. I think it would be perfect for younger children though.
Our room was nice and the beds were really comfy. The only thing I’d say is there wasn’t loads of storage. The room itself was quite big but there seemed to be a lot of empty space instead of extra drawers or wardrobe space.
The location was perfect for us. We spent most of our time by the pool but also went down to the hotel’s private beach a few times. The sea was lovely and clear and there’s a beach bar there too, which was handy. I’d definitely recommend bringing beach shoes though. It’s quite pebbly and there’s a bit of a drop as you get into the water, so getting in and out isn’t the easiest. Once you’re in though, the sea is calm and it felt really safe.
The food was better than we expected. The buffet isn’t massive, but neither is the hotel, and we’d rather have good food than loads of choice. We always found something we enjoyed every evening. The omelettes at breakfast were really nice too.
Most days we had lunch from the pool snack bar. They do gyros, burgers, chips, wraps, fruit, baklava and ice cream, so there was plenty to choose from.
The all-inclusive cocktails were actually pretty good as well. We preferred the ones from the pool bar, but the lobby bar did some nice ones too.
One afternoon we got a taxi into Kolymbia because it was far too hot to walk. It was nice to have a wander around. We also ate at the restaurant opposite the hotel one evening and had really good pizzas. It was nice to have a change from the buffet for a night.
The only downside to the whole holiday wasn’t the hotel at all, it was the TUI transfer. One of the reasons we booked this hotel through TUI was because the advertised transfer time was nice and short, which really appealed to us when travelling with a seven-year-old. Unfortunately, the transfer to the hotel took well over an hour and a half because we went all the way up to Kallithea first, dropping people off before working our way back down the east coast. After a flight, it felt much longer than we were expecting. The journey back was much better as we were one of the last pickups before heading straight to the airport, so it was a lot quicker.
Overall, we had a great week and it was exactly the relaxing break we needed. We’d happily come back to Astirias Beach Resort, and we’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quieter, more laid-back hotel rather than a huge, busy resort.
The only advice I’d give is not to rely too much on the transfer times shown on the TUI website. They certainly weren’t accurate for our journey out. That’s a criticism of TUI rather than the hotel though, which we really couldn’t fault.

Amazing time at Asterias Beach Resort
Our stay at Asterias Beach Resort was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. We spent a wonderful week here and couldn’t have been happier with our choice.
The hotel is beautifully maintained, with immaculate rooms, lovely gardens, and a stunning beachfront location. Waking up each morning to the sea views and having such easy access to the beach made our holiday extra special.
The food was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options at every meal. There was something for everyone, and the themed evenings kept the dining experience interesting throughout the week. The all-inclusive package was great value, with plenty of drinks, snacks, and refreshments available all day.
What really sets this resort apart is the staff. Every member of the team was warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they always went out of their way to ensure guests had an enjoyable stay. A special shout-out to Mimo, the fantastic Head of the Entertainment Team. His energy and enthusiasm were infectious, and he made every day fun, whether leading aqua gym and Latino dance classes, organising pool and beach activities, or hosting evening entertainment. He has an amazing ability to get everyone involved, regardless of age, and his positive attitude created such a fantastic atmosphere throughout the resort. He truly went above and beyond and is a real credit to Asterias Beach Resort.
The pool areas were clean, spacious, and never felt overcrowded.
The location is perfect for exploring Rhodes, with easy access to beautiful beaches, local villages, and the island’s many attractions, while still offering a peaceful and relaxing escape.
We left feeling refreshed and already talking about returning. Asterias Beach Resort offers the perfect combination of excellent service, great food, beautiful surroundings, and a welcoming atmosphere. We would highly recommend it to couples, families, and anyone looking for a memorable holiday in Rhodes. Five stars all the way!

Lovely weeks stay!
We recently stayed at Asterias Beach Resort as a family of three (child is 8) and had a fantastic holiday.
The hotel is beautiful, with spotless grounds and a lovely atmosphere throughout. Our room was kept impeccably clean every day by the wonderful housekeeping team, who did an excellent job. The food was also a highlight – there was a great variety at every meal without being overwhelming, and everything was fresh and well presented.
The pool area was fantastic and one of our favourite parts of the holiday. There was no mad rush for sunbeds each morning, which made for a much more relaxing experience.
The nearby village is within walking distance, or just a 5-minute taxi ride costing around €5, where you'll find some lovely restaurants. We also took a taxi to Rhodes Town, which cost around €50 each way, and it was definitely worth a visit.
In our opinion a few areas could be improved. We felt there could be more activities for children, as the kids' club was quite limited. The pool bar often had very long queues, so having a few self-service drinks stations for wines, beers and soft drinks would really help reduce waiting times. The evening entertainment was also a little disappointing. It would have been great to have more family-friendly acts, such as magicians or interactive shows that children could enjoy as well as adults.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend Asterias Beach Resort to others. The cleanliness, food, and relaxing atmosphere made it a fantastic family holiday, and we would certainly consider returning.
