I stayed for six nights in July at the Amyth Hotel in Mykonos. As part of the Thanos Hotels & Resorts group, which owns a collection of hotels in Cyprus where I regularly stay when visiting my parents, I had high expectations based on the excellent standards and wonderful staff I've experienced there.
I was hoping for the same level of service in Mykonos, but the reality exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the team made me feel genuinely welcome, and the service was exceptional throughout my stay. The attention to detail, warm hospitality, and overall experience were even better than I had anticipated.
I already plan to return next year and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Amyth Hotel Mykonos to anyone looking for a truly memorable stay. It's a fantastic hotel with an incredible team who genuinely care about their guests and go above and beyond to ensure every aspect of your holiday is enjoyable and stress-free.
A wonderful boutique hotel, with great rooms. The rooms were a good size with all the facilities. The balcony was amazing with a jacuzzi facing the stunning views of the sea. The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was served well but there could be room for improvement. Preordering breakfast the night before didn’t really make it any faster and resulted in a few mistakes. I also think our water and orange juices could have been topped up. Considering the size and style of the room and quality and standard of food and service I would say it was good value for money. The location was excellent best part of Mykonos to stay to be honest, nice beaches and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel and close enough to Mykonos town to visit. We hired ATV’s from Mykonos on wheels which was excellent, ate at the two restaurants within walking distance called Liminos and Nostros both fab. Only complaint is that our last two days was disrupted by a group of very noisy young women who were loud, rude and entitled.
My best friend and I had the most incredible stay at Amyth of Mykonos Agios Stefanos. From the moment we arrived, every member of the team made us feel so welcome and genuinely cared for.
The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, with a peaceful atmosphere, stunning views and incredible attention to detail. Our room was gorgeous, the facilities were immaculate, and everything felt luxurious while still being warm and relaxed.
The housekeeping team were amazing and did such a wonderful job every day. Our hot tub was cleaned daily, and our lovely Acqua di Parma shower gels, shampoo and conditioner were always replenished. These thoughtful touches made the experience feel even more special.
The food and cocktails were also lovely, and breakfast offered a wide selection with something for everyone. The team can arrange transfers throughout the island and are always happy to provide excellent recommendations, which made exploring Mykonos so easy.
What made our stay truly unforgettable was the wonderful team. From the manager and the lovely people at reception to the housekeeping, breakfast and pool staff, everyone went above and beyond to make our holiday special. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their kindness and hospitality made the entire experience feel magical.
This was our first time in Greece, and Amyth completely made us fall in love with Mykonos. We were genuinely sad to leave and are already talking about when we can return. It is honestly one of the best places I have ever stayed.

This hotel is a total hidden gem in Mykonos! Small modern and luxury property on a top of a hill, delivering a stunning view from its entrance to the room patios. Where to start… as a Mr&Mrs Smith property, the staff connected with me prior to arrival and organized my transfers from/to port and airport. If you visited Mykonos you know that you need private transfers, and those are around 40€ each way. This was a benefit and inclusion, by staying at least 2 nights. Top service!
At hotel arrival, I was greeted by Nikolas who was extremely efficient and passionate about giving us local recommandations, and helping us rent a Smart car for the stay. Within an hour, it was delivered personally to us at the hotel. They offer parking at entrance at no charge.
Guestrooms all are spacious, super clean, modern with a large balcony. Some rooms have a private mini pool, or a jacuzzi. Total luxury for a rate that is totally fair. My Hyatt points were used for some nights, and it also really worth it. The breakfast was included, the team is very careful and flexible in either delivering it to the room, or at the restaurant.
The pool and deck is super comfortable, discrete, and perfect to relax during the day before going to the town.
The linen, the bed, the shower.. quality. All that you can expect in a luxury hotel. Angela, the hotel manager, is omnipresent, welcoming and surveying guests to make sure that all have a personalized and fantastic stay.
Lastly, they have an outdoor gym, and a spa service. The amenities and the team made my stay incredibly great.
I was impressed with the service, the attention to details, and the overall stay experience.
Honestly, it was a perfect experience, I recommend it to you 100%. I am grateful for the whole team and would go back without hesitation!
Me and my friend stayed at Amyth Agios for 7 nights through easyJet Holidays, and while the property itself is lovely, our overall experience was far below what you'd expect at a five-star price point.
Check-in gave us no information. We weren't told breakfast was included (we only found out on night two), weren't warned which menu items cost extra, and had no idea about the hotel's free shuttle into town or alternate transport options like the local bus service, we only learned about it from other guests on day three. Because of this we spent over €140 on taxis in the first two days alone, which we'd never have paid if we'd simply been given this information as expected at check in.
Our TV didn't work for most of the stay. Reported on night one, promised a fix "tomorrow morning" — it took over 24 hours and multiple calls to reception before anyone actually came. The same fault kept recurring most nights, and each time we raised it we were made to feel an inconvenience, by the last 2 nights of our stay we stopped bothering to report it.
We were charged for the mini-bar with zero warning. No price list in the room, nothing mentioned at check-in, and the hotel's own website groups it alongside other complimentary extras like daily water and daily housekeeping. We only found out it wasn't included when it showed up on our final bill at check out.
The manager's conduct at checkout was the worst part of the stay. When we raised these issues calmly, she cut us off, told us the mini-bar "obviously isn't included" because it's "a five-star hotel," and said we were "the first people to complain about this." She questioned whether we understood what it cost to run a hotel room, disappeared for 30+ minutes when she said she'd "look into it," I had to chase to get an answer again and came offering a 30% discount saying “isn’t that good enough” when we hadn't been informed. When we tried to discuss it further, told us we were "making a scene and disrupting other guests" — before putting her hand up to stop me talking and ending with "excuse me, no” and walked off again, leaving us with no other choice to pay the bill regardless if we was accepting of the “solution” provided.
We're not the type to leave a bad review over one small mix-up, but this was a pattern — no information given upfront, charges we had no way of anticipating, a fault ignored for days, and then real rudeness when we raised it. A beautiful hotel isn't enough to make up for being treated the way we were.
