What a wonderful holiday we had from start to finish. Made welcome . Food was amazing. Beautiful hotel to stay in . Location was good close to beach and walk to kos about 20 minutes.
We stayed in the Iris hotel 4th to 18th July and had a brilliant holiday From the first minute we stepped in the hotel we we're made to feel welcombe by the family who run the hotel. We had booked a superior room numbef 103 that far exceeded our expextations lovely shower room very comfy bed fridge kettle tv well decoated and a lovely balcony. The bar at the pool was absolutely brilliant where guest and staff all got to know each over and the food was amazing . I would just like to say a massive thank you to all the staff for making our holiday one that we won't forget and hope to visit again in the not too distant future .
Avoid at all costs!
I have been to many Greek islands and basic accomodations is standard. Most hotels I have stayed in were 2* but although very basic, they were spotless!
Upon booking this hotel we thought it would be lovely. A few days before we went I noticed a split in the reviews on the basic and deluxe rooms. I contacted Tui to ask if we had a standard room as my husband has mobility issues. The reply I had was they don't know but ask at the hotel...Too late!
Upon arrival, the hotel Iris looks premium but don't be fooled, unless you are blessed to have a deluxe room. We were quided to the back of the hotel and the contrast will blow you away.
Dated rooms are one thing but filth is another! The photos will say it all but no bed linen change all week. On the Saturday, no towel change as the washing machine was broken. Sunday house keeping do not work and Monday was their day off. You have to go to the pool bar to complain as there is never anyone at reception. The room was not cleaned at all throughout the week.
You are absolutely fine if you are in a deluxe room as housekeeping work all week there!
The pool is very deep and not suitable for children and we spent 30 minutes there sat amongst lifting paving, weeds and the strong smell of a cat litter tray!
If you like to drink, spend all day at their bar, they will treat you like family!
We had a fantastic three-week stay at Hotel Iris. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, mainly thanks to the amazing staff. Even though they were facing a very difficult time personally, they never stopped taking great care of their guests.
The continental breakfast is simple but has everything you need. We stayed in a Superior Room with very comfortable beds and a modern design. The room was spotless and we slept very well. We were also informed that the upstairs rooms will be fully renovated soon.
The pool area is beautiful, spacious and never felt crowded because there were plenty of sunbeds available. The hotel restaurant served delicious food every day. Honestly, we enjoyed the meals here more than many places in the city. A wonderful 3-star hotel.
We stayed at Hotel Iris with our family for three weeks and had a wonderful holiday. The staff were going through a very difficult time, but they still did everything they could to make every guest feel welcome. Their kindness and dedication were truly appreciated.
The breakfast is a classic continental breakfast. It’s simple but fresh and offers everything you need to start the day. We stayed in a Superior Room, which was modern, clean and had very comfortable beds. We were also told that the remaining rooms will be completely renovated later this year.
The pool area is spacious, well maintained and there are more than enough sunbeds for everyone. The food at the hotel was excellent—we actually enjoyed eating here more than in many restaurants in Kos Town. For a 3-star hotel, the value for money is outstanding. We will definitely return!
