What a wonderful holiday we had from start to finish. Made welcome . Food was amazing. Beautiful hotel to stay in . Location was good close to beach and walk to kos about 20 minutes.
We had such a wonderful time at Hotel Iris! We stayed in one of the renovated rooms with our 2-year-old daughter, and the family really goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great stay.
For example, our daughter didn’t want to finish her spaghetti by the pool, so they gave us a little container to take it back to our room. After her afternoon nap, she happily finished every last bit of it!
They also gave us an extra key card so we could keep the air conditioning running while our daughter was having her afternoon nap. We didn’t even ask for it, they simply thought of it themselves. Such a thoughtful gesture!
Special thanks to the hotel’s unofficial “entertainment team”, Thea and Miles, who did a wonderful job entertaining our daughter and the other kids! 😊
And definitely don’t underestimate the food at the hotel, it’s really delicious!
Another big plus was that, for an additional fee, we were able to keep our room for longer on our last day because our flight home wasn’t until the evening. This was incredibly convenient, especially when travelling with a young child.
We would happily come back!
We are just back from Hotel Iris, where we booked superior room 102. It was perfect, featuring a very comfortable bed and a great shower. This is a lovely family-run hotel, and the staff were fantastic. Nothing was too much bother, and they truly couldn't do enough for you. We especially enjoyed having great chats with Minas every evening at the bar.
Breakfast is your typical continental style. The food and drinks at the hotel bar were reasonably priced and absolutely lovely. We also had a great time chatting with other guests at the bar, as everyone was incredibly friendly.
We hired bikes from next door because the walk into town takes approximately 30 minutes, and we are fast walkers. Overall, we had a wonderful holiday and wouldn't hesitate to return. Thank you all for a fabulous holiday!
We arrived here August 16th and the room was shocking. Upon entering it was dirty and dated. When we looked further, there were blood stains on the bedding and screws on the floor presenting a health hazard. We went down to reception and asked for a different room/ upgrade and were told there was nothing. Therefore, we left the hotel the next morning and did not return due to Tui not helping us reach an alternative or sorting out the issue.
As for the pool we did not use it but it looked fine.
We had breakfast but there was not a lot left as we arrived down at 9:40am.
The staff were friendly but were not able to sort a solution for us.
The location is good, near the beach and supermarkets.
IRIS HOTEL
Me and my partner booked through tui and paid a little extra for the upgraded room ( highly recommend), the staff were great and the pool is well kept - the atmosphere of the place is amazing very friendly place - we went to Greek night that they host and also quiz night ( would also recommend) the location is a little out of the way but there is bikes next door to rent or e scooters across the street the shop is also one of the cheapest in the whole of Kos I’d say and that is also across the road.
Would come back to it
