This is not a 5 star hotel 4 star at best it’s a modern style hotel with a few glitches 1 The rooms were spacious but lacking with draw space plus only cleaned every other day and coffee was not always refilled beach towels were supplied to the room 2 The staff were mainly Asian and very polite 3 I paid about £8000 for 9 days for 4 adults and 2 children 4 Even though it was all inclusive the rooftop bar was not we spent a few nights up there but there were no more than 10 people up there at any one time the pool bar was ok cocktails were a bit weak with spirits the coke was a cheap cola and the beer nearly always flat and not that good 4 There is a small shop over the road which is quite well stocked and also a car, bike and buggy hire shop also.We hired a car to go to kos town and Zia it costs around 50 euros a day with insurance but be very aware of the speed limits just follow the main road into town and there’s a big car park on the right. 5 The beach and bar is about 400yards from the hotel we just got a buggy there and back just ask them to ring reception from the beach bar to get back the beach had plenty of sun beds but the beach had a lot to be desired it was full of seaweed. The beach restaurant had to be booked the day before and it seemed that they didn’t want to have many people booking it was never full and the service was a little slow .The bar there was the only place the beer was ok.They had a cabinet at the bar where you could get fruit cake and wraps,be warned the wraps were very soggy and bland. 6 Breakfast was ok but the evening meal was the same EVERY night and cold the deserts were the same with little choice I’ve travelled the world at it’s the only buffet I’ve come across that doesn’t have ice cream! tables were never set with desert cutlery also you had to get your own drinks 6 This hotel has great potential which I feel the management are not exploiting they seem to be cutting corners….me? I’d make quite a few changes.
I read some bad reviews about the food before booking Kouros but I doubted the reviews because this is a 5 star hotel, I was very wrong and the bad reviews were right. We went to the buffet on the first night which was very bad, but we thought at least there was the beach restaurant, we thought we would just book the beach restaurant for every day but the truth is that the beach restaurant is even worse, it’s just the same food from the buffet with bad service. The food looked worse than a school canteen, we cancelled desert after receiving our mains and cancelled future bookings at the beach restaurant. We are not fussy eaters, the meats were undercooked and fatty/slimy, the potato was rock hard, there was no calamari in the starter, just deep fried crunch and a bit of lettuce. The only edible dish was the cheese croquettes but they were drowned in oil.
I found the hotel to have some positive and some negative aspects, giving it an average rating overall. The hotel was nice and clean, communal areas were aesthetically pleasing, the sports facilities were good. However, I personally do not understand how it has been given a 5 star rating and in my opinion would say this is a 3.5 star hotel. The food is the worst I have ever had in any all inclusive and the drinks were poor. The beach restaurant was a nice setting but the food was the same as that available in the buffet. personally we had the worst meal in the beach restaurant that we have ever had in any restaurant ever. The hotel did not have any atmosphere and there wss not much for the kids to get involved in. The swimming pools were nice and the gardens wear pretty.
Modern hotel, very friendly staff. Room was good but roomservice was not 100% each day (no Coffee refill, missing towels,...). After asking, everything was fixed immediately. Tennis, paddle, mini golf,... 👌 all in formula too limited for us, buffet was good. Only the in between snacks were not existing except the ice cream and some fruit. Animation was too limited or rather not present. Had much better in the past. Much more potential to be done in that area. Lido aquaparc was very good. For me a 4* experience, not a 5* but worthy for its lower price.
We stayed at the renovated Kouros Palace Hotel. Very nice new and stylish rooms with all of the needed comfort and luxury. Breakfast with a great view and plenty of choices for all of the meals. The staff is very helpfull and friendly. We had a great stay at Kouros Palace Mastichari.
