We have just returned from our Family Holiday at this Hotel we had an amazing time. As it was our Anniversary whilst there the Hotel upgraded our room to a Family suit that was fantastic and also a free bottle of Champagne. All the staff where amazing and could not do enough for you but i would like to give a special thanks to Bill who worked in the Lobby Bar and also to Mike who works around the Bars they where brilliant. Everything is spotlessly clean and tidy and rooms cleaned to a high standard every day. The food was excellent with a great choice also most nights had a theme we ate in both the Italian and the mediterraneo restaurants these where also excellent , please ignore these other reviews that say the food is rubbish because it is not. All the pool areas are great we spent most of the time around the main pool as there was always something going on we never had an issue getting sun loungers but i did notice other people struggle but if you turn up late morning what do you expect try getting out of bed !!!!! They do enforce the no reservation rule before 09:00. One little gripe there was not enough seating for the night time entertainment and talking of the entertainment this was varied some nights very good others not so much. The Hotel is about a 40 min walk from Kos Town and buses and Taxis are very hit and miss even if you book them. We went on the 3 island boat trip on Christina this is well worth doing and good value for money. I also booked a scuba diving trip for me and my Son with Liamis dive centre they have a boat on the Harbour that you can go and book your dive you can do this even if you have no experience as they do beginners days this was a fantastic day with two dives both in the sea and not in a pool. Over all we had an amazing Holiday and would definitely recommend this Hotel and we would definitely return.
Absolutely top standard hotel. Staff were lovely food and drinks were amazing and a great mix of families couples and even friend trips. Very clean and tidy campus with a great selection of things too do from the many pools to the shops to the snack bars and more. Amazing weather to go with all of that!
Made our stay very pleasant thank you.
We have just returned from a 7-day stay and overall had a really lovely time. There are a couple of things that the hotel do really well: check-in was a really lovely experience - welcoming us with a drink and taking us on a resort tour enroute to our room; House-keeping was reliable, efficient and always done in the morning so very convenient from our perspective; Service in all of the bar areas was friendly and quick; The resort and a well-maintained - lots of staff around all the time ensuring gardens are well-kept and maintenance is looked after; Check-out was made really easy- we had a later flight but we checked out and were still able to use all of the facilities and then book a slot at the spa to shower and change ready to travel; The external band (a singer and guitarist both called Kris) that came in to play on Sunday were excellent - our best night! There is also room for improvement on a couple of things: Food - we didn’t have great food anywhere in the hotel - the buffet and both à la carte restaurants were a bit lacking for us; Entertainment - You might be okay if you have very young children and then left after that. But even for the youngsters it is very repetitive. The team are very lovely but we didn’t love what was offered for the adults. (Apart from the external band as mentioned above). Most tables that were occupied in the evening had people playing cards or other games.
I think the hotel took a really proactive approach to people reserving sunbeds early in the morning - I saw towels being removed twice in our weeklong stay. We still didn’t manage to get beds around the main pool but the adult pool was no drama. Honestly, if you are that bothered about laying on the same sun lounger for your entire holiday - book a villa!
We have just returned from a 10 night stay at the pelagos hotel.
When we arrived the hotel had upgraded our room type due to our stay being a special occasion which we thought was a lovely touch. We were in a junior suite in block 7 right near the restaurant. If you have booked a junior suite be sure to take some earplugs if you are a light sleeper as there is a farm out the back of the hotel which have cockerels which are very loud from around 5am. Couldn’t fault the rooms they were spacious and clean, perfect for the two of us and we had a beautiful balcony. The hotel grounds are really picturesque and kept lovely.
The food is a little bit hit and miss which is what I believe lets this hotel down. Some days there was loads of choice and others I really struggled and I’m not a fussy eater. A few mornings my breakfast was cold from the buffet however in our stay we were upgraded to be able to use the Mediterranean restaurant for an À la carte breakfast which was really nice and a good alternative. The Mediterranean also opened during the day as a snack bar which was okay. We ate one night at the Italian which was beautiful with a beautiful setting however unfortunately my fiancé became quite unwell afterwards with symptoms of food poisoning which lasted a few days. This very well could have been a bug however it was coincidental that it was after his seafood pasta so i would recommend staying away from the seafood. We also heard there was a few more people suffering with food poisoning symptoms during in our stay. My meal was great and I didn’t have any symptoms afterwards. We ate at the little taverna one night next to the hotel and wow! Would definitely recommend.
The staff are honestly absolutely fantastic at this hotel, the entertainment team are just so so lovely a special shout out to Florence and Mytro (sorry if that’s spelt wrong) who were amazing! The daily activities are great and on the nights we stayed in the entertainment was good. Also the male who works at the adults only bar on an evening - he is fantastic!! We had spa treatments from Ifigena and Moria and they were also really great and would highly recommend.
No sunbed wars whilst we were at the hotel which was lovely. The main pool fills up faster than the others but we could wonder down at 9am and still easily get two beds - if you’re wanting specific beds then maybe go down earlier than that but there’s a no reservation policy in place before 9am. If you’re a late riser you could always get a sunbed at any time of the day especially round the adults pool which was still this empty at 10am (photo attached) so really no rush at all depending on where you want to sit. There was also no issues getting a bed at the beach at any time of day whilst we were there, beach is nice with a little bar but rocky so put us off going in the sea.
We did venture out quite a lot into Kos town and would say the walk is about 35 minutes from the hotel to the harbour but there are bars and restaurants most the way in. We used the scooters which were fantastic and super cheap and could get you to the harbour in 10 mins - they were a life saver for us due to the lack of taxi’s on the island. We went to Mylos beach bar for a day and would highly recommend that.
Overall a good stay!
Excellent hotel close to Kos town, about 30mins from the airport. Large, attractive, clean and cool main reception area. Buggy transfer to your room. We arrived at 11pm and were offered drinks and to relax after our journey. Big mention for Vasilis, the bar manager in the reception 'twist' bar. What a lovely, genuine man. Facilities excellent, water features everywhere give a lovely sound and look stunning. Huge main pool didn't have quite enough sunbeds but we hired a cabana instead. Adults only pool area was lovely and calm with its own bar and snack restaurant. Food in the main restaurant was good plentiful, fresh, large range and several fresh cook stations. Service excellent at all times. Beautiful setting too - the rooms look like they are floating above the water. 2 x a la carté restaurants are included in weekly all inclusive package cacio e pepe and mediteraneo. The sunset from Cacio was amazing and food in both really good. You do have to cross a road to get to the private beach but not that much hassle. Small kiosk serving drinks there too. Main pool bar busy but never a huge wait. Could do with a few extra cocktails on the list but otherwise premium spirits used and drinks all freshly prepared. Plenty to do if you want and easy to avoid doing anything too. We had upgraded to a suite which was fabulous but.... rooms in the 700 block are next to a house that has a cockrel so you might need earplugs. Checkout is 11am but there are showers and changing facilities near the adults pool if you're travelling later. We'd definitely come back.
