We stayed teo weekse at the Blue Lagoon Resort and had a great holiday! We really enjoyed the animation team! Brogan, Milly, Isabella they were all great and also in the evening the mini disco and familie shows were very good! 5 stars for all of you. Keep up the good work! Greetz from the Netherlands
Fantastic family holiday – we’ll definitely be back!
We’ve just returned from a week’s stay as a family of six, and honestly, we’ve had such a fantastic holiday! This is definitely a holiday we won’t forget, and we’re already talking about coming back.
The location of the hotel was brilliant. The transfer from the airport was around 40 minutes, which was perfect after travelling with the family. The beach was just a short 5-minute walk away, and getting into Kos Town was really easy by either bus or bike.
What really made our holiday, though, was the amazing atmosphere at the hotel. Brogan, Millie and the rest of the entertainment team were absolutely fantastic. They were friendly, energetic and entertaining from day one and genuinely made such a difference to our stay. They worked incredibly hard and deserve a huge thank you for making our holiday so memorable!
Our rooms were a little on the smaller side, but they were clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. We stayed in the main block, which was really convenient as it was central to the pools, shop and water park. The air conditioning worked brilliantly and kept the room nice and cool, which was much appreciated.
The only slight disappointment was that the fridge and tea/coffee supplies weren’t replenished every day. However, this was easily resolved as we could get supplies from any of the bars. We also had absolutely no problems with noise and everyone slept really well every night.
The food was good, with plenty of choice at every meal. Everyone in our family managed to find something they enjoyed, which isn’t always easy with six people! The kids particularly loved the crepe station and were definitely regular visitors!
Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better family holiday. Great location, fantastic entertainment, plenty to do and excellent value for money. There were a couple of small things that could have been better, but they certainly didn’t take away from what was a brilliant week.
A massive thank you to all the staff, especially Brogan, Millie and the entertainment team, for helping make our holiday so special.
We will definitely be returning! ❤️
Just returned from our holiday to Kos, and the Blue Lagoon Resort. First thing I will say, sorry, this isn't a 5* hotel. Arrival: nice, light and airy reception area, no welcoming drink on offer, reception staff pleasant and friendly, and rooms allocated speedily, we we're two families, us as grandparents, and our family with two young children, our rooms were allocated on complete opposite sides of the complex, maybe a little thought into keeping families closer together?? Room: clean, but very basic and dated, ours was in block 2000, we had a view over to the beach and a view across to Turkey, which was nice. The biggest let down in the room... hardly anywhere to put your clothes, two very small bedside drawers just about big enough to put socks in one and pants in the other, and a slightly larger drawer in the tv unit, a wardrobe with a few hangers, which my wife used, I'd had to keep my clothes in the suitcase. Beds aren't the most comfortable, and the pillows are not great. Fridge in the room had 2 500ml bottles of water on arrival, but they aren't replaced. Aircon didn't cool the room very well, even though the aircon was set at 18⁰, the room temperature was always in the mid to high 20s. There's no iron and ironing board. Restaurants: breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet... food was ok and cooked fine, but it's very repetitive, you can mix and match to make it more 'interesting' though. Drinks: pretty average to be honest, no fresh orange/fruit juices on offer, it's all squash/water based types, there's no water on tap to help yourself, meaning to get a glass of water often meant queuing up at the bar. Entertainment: the animation team are absolutely brilliant, they really do work hard, around the pool during the day, and performing in the evenings, the shows they put on are really well done, the only criticism would be how late the evening entertainment begins, especially if you have young children, the kids disco starts at 8:15, adult entertainment at 9:30. Pools: they're excellent, so many things to do for children, they can do something different every day, our grandchildren loved them and had a brilliant time. Sunbeds: clean and comfortable, as is usual there's the early morning sunbed grab, but there's enough to go round, but some have to get "their" spot, I can't be bothered with all that, but there were always sunbeds available. Staff: they are really pleasant and work really hard, unfortunately, very few Greek staff, I did miss being greeted in Greek. Hotel grounds: really well kept and well landscaped, a really pleasant and relaxing environment. Free-roaming chickens and cats are a nice feature, although the roosters early morning call... lol! There's a shop onsite, very very expensive, we were short changed, the shortage was on top of the till all along, how convenient! Overall, we enjoyed our holiday, and the grandchildren had a fantastic time, but we wouldn't holiday here again.
Stunning hotel!! Very clean and staff are extremely helpful.
Great for families of all ages as so much to do. The Palmera entertainment team were fantastic during the day with all the various activities for the children and adults.
Brogan and Millie were so funny at pool side doing aqua Zumba, aqua aerobics and made sure everyone felt included. Talking to all the guest and getting everyone involved. Brogan certainly has the fastest hips in Kos.
The evening entertainment was amazing and a different show every night, Millie and Isabella were outstanding with there singing and dancing!! Christian was also a great team player.
This was our second time back at this hotel and the entertainment has significantly improved!! The food was lovely and all the different restaurants. Only twenty minutes walk from Kos town and harbour. Only improvement I would suggest is having a bar open after midnight
1st - when we arrive at 1pm in the morning we asj for something to eat as we was starving and we had received a small burger bun very dry with a slice of cheese. 2nd a lot of ants in the room biting us trough the night 3rd low level of cleaning 4th not enough sunbeds 5th same food all week around using leftovers from the next day and very dry meat 6th In their beach area you need to pay for the sunbed and drinks 7th Management avoid talking with the clients 8th We had problems with the key cards where twice didn't work and we need to change them every time so we have access in our room
