Setting and views are stunning but other than that this is not a 5 stay hotel and I do not understand so many 5 star reviews. Rooms below average, very noisy. The only stand out service after 5 days here is Stavros at Kos breakfast. The rest of the staff need to take a training session from him in customer service. Service at beach pool incredibly slow, either the occupancy is too high or not enough staff. At night the lobby bar turns into a crèche, including young children running around playing football. Do not go here expecting luxury. Food ok, no better. Best meals Anaya and Oliva but other than that disappointing. Could go on but plastic found in evening meal tonight and nearly choked. Do not bother with this hotel if you have been to other well regarded hotels in the world! Sorry but if you pay premium prices you expect a premium service!!!
Family focused hotel with good beaches
This is a very good family resort with super beaches. We travelled with our 4 children (aged 19-22) in August. Rooms are spacious and well equipped - effective and quiet air conditioning meant the rooms were lovely and cool. Cleanliness and resort maintenance is excellent. Food options are plentiful and the standard is good. Gym is modern with good equipment. It isn’t big though so if there are more than a handful of people, it is limited. Spa is very good. Staff all around the hotel are wonderful - so helpful and kind. The Greeks have a friendly authenticity which is lovely. Plenty of drink options, and the quality bearing in mind the all inclusive nature is good. Beach service (food and drink) is super and the sea is beautifully clean - cooler than other parts of Greece at around 21 degrees, so it is refreshing when you go in to cool off. A couple more showers on the beaches at different points would be nice though…..So, a lot to like. Other considerations??? Well, there are a LOT of younger children at this hotel and during school holidays this is clearly the focus for this resort. We found it somewhat frustrating that children ran around the bar all evening which made it feel a bit like a giant crèche…There is a small adults only area but the atmosphere here is clearly centred around young families during school holidays; evening entertainment/music gets shut off at 10.30pm. It would put us off going again during school holidays. However, if you have young kids, it would probably be great. Having to book restaurants for evening meals in advance is a bit frustrating too but it is a characteristic of IKOS hotels. We were also unable to use a complimentary car as there are only a few and they were booked. There is a Hertz in the hotel but, again, all the hire cars were booked and we were unable to hire one. You need to be a bit organised (more organised than us…..) for your holiday at IKOS….. Kos is quite a windy island - this has its benefits in high season when it is very hot but the strong breeze is a constant….

Heaven on earth
For those who cherish sunshine, crystal-clear seas, refined luxury, peace and quiet, exceptional gastronomy, and authentic Greek hospitality, Ikos Aria is more than a destination, it’s a home, a heaven and a place to return to year after year. Like we did in August and eleven times before. And yet, every year the experience feels different. Because the resort continues to raise the bar, enhancing its luxury offering, refining its already outstanding cuisine, and elevating the overall guest experience.
Relax your in great hands
Such a wonderful break at IKOS Aria, went as a couple with our 19 year old son and we all loved it. The staff are the standout stars and they should be applauded for consistently delivering exceptional service. We spent a lot of time at the Adult Pool, it was always quiet and no issues getting sunbeds. The staff here work so hard. (Apologies for not naming you!) the best cocktails. I enjoyed the reformer classes and my son enjoyed the gym. Food was such good quality and also took advantage of the dine out at Kochylari. Super easy evening and nice for a change. Anastasia welcomed us to Ouzo daily for the best BBQ lunch. Also highly recommend the sunset cruise the captain is brilliant fun! So to summarise first time at Ikos and it won’t be the last. You can relax the second you arrive knowing everything is going to be handled for you.

We stayed at Ikos Aria from 3rd to 10th August 2026, and quite simply, it was the best holiday we have ever experienced.
From the moment we arrived, everything was exceptional. The resort is stunning, immaculately maintained, and set in a beautiful location, but what truly sets Ikos Aria apart is the incredible level of service. Every member of staff we encountered went above and beyond to ensure our holiday was perfect. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and we were consistently greeted with genuine warmth, kindness and professionalism.
The absolute highlight of our stay was the unexpected surprise of being upgraded to the Deluxe Package halfway through our holiday. We were completely overwhelmed by this gesture and it transformed an already fantastic holiday into something truly unforgettable. The additional benefits and attention to detail made us feel incredibly special, and it created memories that we will treasure for years to come.
A special mention must go to Achilleas (apologies if I have misspelled his name), who looked after guests on the beach. He was an absolute credit to the resort. Friendly, attentive and always smiling, he made ours days by the sea even more enjoyable. His enthusiasm and exceptional customer service perfectly reflected the high standards demonstrated by all of the Ikos Aria team.
The restaurants were outstanding, offering an incredible variety of high-quality food and impeccable service. The drinks, facilities and housekeeping were all first-class. What impressed us most was how every single member of staff seemed genuinely committed to ensuring guests had the best possible experience.
We have stayed in many Ikos resorts over the years, but Ikos Aria has set a new benchmark. The surprise Deluxe upgrade, combined with the exceptional staff and outstanding facilities, made this our best holiday ever.
Thank you to everyone at Ikos Aria for creating such a magical week. We left with wonderful memories and cannot wait to return.
