Ikos Aria

We have just returned from a wonderful 9-night stay at Ikos Aria, and although the resort itself is beautiful, it was without a doubt the incredible staff who made our stay so special.

Our holiday unfortunately started with some complications, as one of our family members was unable to travel with us as planned and had to join us a few days later. The team at Ikos could not have been more accommodating throughout. We ultimately decided to extend our stay so that we could make up for the time we had lost together as a family, and again the team made everything incredibly easy, including organising our room transfer and taking care of our luggage. What could have been quite a stressful situation was handled brilliantly.

There are so many members of staff who deserve a special mention.

Themis and Elpida at the Beach Pool Bar were fantastic. They were always so friendly and attentive, quickly remembering our usual drinks orders and making us feel so well looked after whenever we were there.

Anastasia, who regularly welcomed and seated us at the restaurants, was absolutely lovely and made dining such a wonderful experience. She made such an impression on our three year old daughter that, at the end of our stay, our daughter actually asked if she could have a photograph with her, something she would never normally do! I think that says everything about how warm and lovely Anastasia was with her.

Athina, the swimming teacher, was another huge highlight. She was incredible with our three year old and managed to keep her engaged while teaching her some brilliant swimming skills that we can continue practising with her at home. She was so warm, patient and friendly, and we were amazed by how much our daughter gained from her lessons.

Lefaris was brilliant at breakfast and remembered our drinks order, which is such a small thing but makes such a difference and really adds to that personal level of service.

Hussain from the concierge/buggy team was fantastic too. Whenever he saw us around the resort, he would always stop to check in and see how we were getting on. We had some great laughs with him throughout the holiday and always enjoyed bumping into him.

Tiago, who looked after us in Anaya, was another fantastic member of the team and gave us wonderful service.

One member of our family has particular dietary requirements, and Christos, the Food & Beverage Manager, genuinely couldn’t have done more for us. He helped us navigate food choices, arranged for special desserts to be made and even organised for us to meet with the wine manager to find suitable alternatives. Beyond all of that, he was just a genuinely lovely person to catch up and have a chat with whenever we saw him. His attention and care made what could otherwise have been a difficult part of travelling so much easier.

We also have to mention Eirini at the front desk, who regularly sought us out during our stay to check that everything was going well. She was incredibly helpful with the additional arrangements we needed because of the changes to our holiday and made us feel that nothing was ever too much trouble.

We also took advantage of the complimentary MINI for the day, which we would definitely recommend. The car was immaculate and we were each provided with a picnic box, which was a lovely extra touch. It gave us the opportunity to explore more of Kos, including Bubble Beach and Kos Old Town, and was a great addition to the holiday.

Overall, we had a fantastic stay. Ikos Aria is a beautiful resort, but for us, what really sets it apart is its people. Given the unexpected circumstances surrounding our trip, we probably required a little more help and flexibility than the average guests, and we couldn’t have felt better looked after.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make our family holiday so special, and particularly to Themis, Elpida, Anastasia, Athina, Lefaris, Hussain, Tiago, Christos and Eirini. You are the reason we will remember our stay so fondly.

W We have just returned from our fourth visit to IKOS Aria, and once again it was absolutely exceptional. The fact that we continue to return says everything about how special this resort is, and somehow each visit manages to be just as memorable as the last.

What truly made this stay outstanding was the fabulous service and attention we received from Thomas and the entire Deluxe team.

From the moment we arrived, Thomas made us feel incredibly welcome and genuinely looked after. His attention to detail was outstanding — nothing was ever too much trouble, and everything was handled with warmth, professionalism and a wonderful personal touch. He seemed to anticipate what we needed before we even had to ask!

The whole Deluxe team were fabulous throughout our stay. The service was seamless, attentive and friendly without ever feeling intrusive. Having visited four times, we know the high standards IKOS Aria sets, and Thomas and his team absolutely exceeded them.

The resort, food, facilities and beautiful setting are all fantastic, but it is the people who really make IKOS Aria so special and keep us coming back.

A huge thank you to Thomas and the entire Deluxe team for making our fourth visit another unforgettable one. You are an absolute credit to IKOS Aria.

We cannot recommend IKOS Aria and the Deluxe experience highly enough. After four wonderful visits, we are already looking forward to number five! Five stars simply doesn’t feel enough!
