Blue Lagoon Village is a luxurious village style complex with 447 guestrooms. This all inclusive hotel is in direct contact with the sandy beach offering magnificent views. It is located only 10 km from the centre of Kefalos, near Paradise Beach one of the most beautiful beaches of Kos, only 7 km from the airport and 30 km from Kos town, the capital of the island. The Blue Lagoon Village offers a vast range of facilities like the Aegean Main restaurant with indoor and outdoor sections, the Thalassa Fish tavern, the Susshimi Sushi restaurant and the Golden Sun Chinese restaurant offering you different tastes from all over the world. The Mythos Taverna serves traditional Greek dishes, the Piazza Italian restaurant offers a taste of Italy, the Green & Grill is the place where you can grill your own combination of different meats and finally the Gelateria where you can enjoy panckaes, waffles, sweets and ice-cream.You will have a hard job choosing where to have your drink; at the Shake & Mix Pool bar any time of the day, the Wet Pool bar, an impressive swim-up bar, the Plaza Pool bar the Piazza bar and the Theater Bar in the afternoon or the Beach and Snack bar during the day.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
A very large group of us descended on this beautiful place for my daughters wedding - everyone was so appreciative- it all went smoothly and we had a great week and a wonderful wedding celebration- they even helped me with an extra couple of guests who flew in to surprise the bride and groom … we had 2 elderly ladies with us - 87 and 89 and the buggy drivers were outstanding! We tried all the restaurants, all the pools , entertainment and water park .. thoroughly recommend this resort - special mention to captain Paul at the water sports - he took us out on a boat trip and went above and beyond on the day and even sailed by when we had photos on the beach after the ceremony to wave . The wedding coordinators were so nice and welcoming even though we were probably quite demanding as our numbers totalled almost 90 people … overall we couldn’t have asked for more . Lovely location , perfect weather , excellent food and entertainment and brilliant staff thank you on behalf of the bridal party .
Just about everything at this hotel can't be faulted. The staff always smiling always helpfull. The only disappointment we had food wise was the pizza in the Italian restaurant how can you make a tasteless pizza. Every other restaurant were out standing. No problem with people reserving sunbeds there were beds avaliable at all the pools when ever we looked. Same with the buffets plenty of tables and choices. The entertainment staff work hard. The guys at the plaza cocktail bar deserve a special mention. If I were younger and fitter I would be returning. Things to note There are a lot of stairs Also slippery rocks at the beach
Unfortunately, our stay did not live up to what we expected from a 5-star hotel, especially after paying approximately £3,400 for eight nights.
Our biggest issue was the extremely noisy air conditioning in our original room. Despite reporting it early, the problem was not resolved and we ended up having two nights of very poor sleep, leaving us exhausted for two days of our holiday. We were eventually moved to another room, but this also meant being without a room for around two hours while travelling with our 22-month-old child. No compensation was offered for the disruption.
On our departure day, we paid €100 for late checkout until 6pm. Despite paying the full late-checkout fee, we returned to the room in the afternoon to find that housekeeping had not serviced it, which was disappointing.
The evening entertainment was also very repetitive. Most nights involved essentially the same animation team, and it became boring after a few days. There was only one night during our stay with a noticeably different show. I would expect considerably more variety from a 5-star resort.
We also found the animation team quite pushy about trying to sell €18 T-shirts, which isn’t something we expected while trying to relax on holiday.
The food was good overall, but breakfast and lunch were very repetitive, with largely the same options every day. More variety would make a big difference, particularly for guests staying for a week or longer.
Overall, there are good aspects to the hotel, but the poor handling of our room issue, lack of compensation, €100 late checkout followed by no housekeeping, repetitive entertainment and pushy merchandise sales significantly affected our experience.
Fantastic week with family & friends as part of a large wedding party. Everyone agreed it was a great holiday. The wedding was fantastic, all credit to the hotel team for coordinating everything perfectly. Hotel was spotless clean and all staff very friendly and helpful. Also, thanks to Paul & his team at the hotel’s beach water sports, for the fantastic speed boat trip, which my family & I and other wedding guests, all agreed was an amazing experience.
Absolutely beautiful and can't recommend highly enough! Moved here after a disasterous stay elsewhere on the island but this place is magical and the staff are amazing. Loved it!
