The Sovereign Beach hotel is set directly on a sandy beach in a quiet area on the island of Kos, approximately two kilometres away from the seaside village of Kardamena, where visitors can enjoy local restaurants, bars and nightclubs. Guests may simply relax at the beach or by the substantial outdoor pool with sun loungers and parasols, or participate in a wide variety of land and water sports from football and tennis to water polo. The hotel's comfortably appointed twin rooms, family rooms, 2 bedroom bungalows as well as thew new swim-up rooms and whirlpool rooms are furnished with mini fridge, TV, safe box, air-conditioning, pull-out sofa bed, en suite bathroom, and a balcony or terrace with sea or garden view. Guests may enjoy buffet-style meals with authentic Greek, Italian and Mediterranean cuisine at the hotel restaurant. This hotel provides the ideal base for exploring the island or a relaxing holiday of sea and sun for families and couples alike.
Relax and unwind with massages, body treatments and facials. You can take advantage of recreational amenities such as outdoor tennis courts, a health club and an indoor pool. This property also features complimentary wireless Internet access, babysitting (surcharge) and an arcade/games room. Guests can get to nearby shops on the complimentary shuttle.
Lovely location close to the beach and an easy walk into the local town. Staff were exceptional, keen to please, helpful and polite. Entertainment crew were pleasant and keen although the entertainment through the whole week was rubbish, not to our taste and we didn’t enjoy the outside stage. Rooms were ok, not up to 4 * standard and certainly not anything near a 5* as classed by the government which meant that we had to pay €115 tourist tax in cash when we got there. Real rip off. Fairly clean but bits left all over the bathroom floor and tables in dining room were sticky! The food was the biggest let down for us, there was an amazing choice but the meat and other things just weren’t very nice. Cheap and frozen I think. There is some sort of farm or sewage works next to the hotel which smells really vile. Sometimes the smell came into the hotel and room corridors. Nothing they can do about it apparently Overall we weren’t that impressed but at least we had a fabulous weather week!
Amazing food, great service, and beautiful rooms. Special shout out to Seth. He always listens to where I feel pain and focuses on those areas during my massage. He really goes the extra mile, even when my time is already over. I also see him at the restaurant sometimes. Such a hardworking staff.
You should definitely book a massage with him. He’s an excellent massage therapist and he really listens to what you need and focuses on the areas that are bothering you. Unlike some massage experiences I had in Thailand where the massage therapist simply did what they wanted. Here you feel heard and your preferences are respected. Highly recommended spa service ❤️
We 1st came for a Holiday in May this year in a Swim Up room, had a fantastic time and booked whilst there in for September but this time in a Swim Up Bungalow. We arrived on 21/9 and left (sadly) on the 30/9. It was Fabulous! Just some thanks. To Aldxandra and Kayt, your organisational skills a supreme. Sarah out lovely cleaner. Ruchell in the Restaurant a big thanks for being so lovely. To Tao who always has a smile while making sure food is flowing from the Kitchen, it must be high pressured at busy times but Tao's smile never fades. Praise for Afrim in the Restaurant. We noticed him deal with a very tricky customer who very nearly caused a scene, he did it with quiet Professionalism. We hope Management got to hear about this. Finally my Husband wants to thank Mr Pizza. Husband is now on a diet! Well again we booked whilst there to return in May. Many thanks all. See you in May 2027
4th visit and we absolutely love it here.... cant wait to come back. Staff so friendly, accomodation perfect, food great , beach a few minutes away, lovely dyroll into Kardemena ( 20 mins) ..... what more can I say !!
Recommend the swin up bungalows .... perfect and so peaceful .
Tanya , restaurant manager, is fabulous and welcoming at every meal. The restaurant is clean, staff clear tables with such efficiency.
Food... plenty of choice , and I am z very fussy eater. Reception ..... always there to help, especially Kosta, who greeted us with the most welcoming of smiles on our return. Always happy to chat. Kayt.... operations manager, as always , welcoming, polite, knowledgeable and so love to chat to.

Great Hotel! Superb staff . Spotlessly clean ! Fantastic selection of food all day - every day ! Location outstanding! 15min walk into town . Day time entertainment team were brilliant especially Ibra and Y! Nearly faultless . Two things to improve - drinks selection and evening entertainment ( apart from magician and acrobats who were great !)
