The Sovereign Beach hotel is set directly on a sandy beach in a quiet area on the island of Kos, approximately two kilometres away from the seaside village of Kardamena, where visitors can enjoy local restaurants, bars and nightclubs. Guests may simply relax at the beach or by the substantial outdoor pool with sun loungers and parasols, or participate in a wide variety of land and water sports from football and tennis to water polo. The hotel's comfortably appointed twin rooms, family rooms, 2 bedroom bungalows as well as thew new swim-up rooms and whirlpool rooms are furnished with mini fridge, TV, safe box, air-conditioning, pull-out sofa bed, en suite bathroom, and a balcony or terrace with sea or garden view. Guests may enjoy buffet-style meals with authentic Greek, Italian and Mediterranean cuisine at the hotel restaurant. This hotel provides the ideal base for exploring the island or a relaxing holiday of sea and sun for families and couples alike.
Relax and unwind with massages, body treatments and facials. You can take advantage of recreational amenities such as outdoor tennis courts, a health club and an indoor pool. This property also features complimentary wireless Internet access, babysitting (surcharge) and an arcade/games room. Guests can get to nearby shops on the complimentary shuttle.
Me and my boyfriend stayed here beginning of September. When we first arrived we were asked to pay tourist tax but was told cash only, please bare this in mind as there is an ATM in reception which charges you to draw money out. We went to our room and the rooms look outdated, bed was comfortable and cleaners were very good. I do think if the rooms were updated and some of the interior of the hotel to be updated then definitely would feel 5 star. I had an overall amazing experience always something going on every night entertainment the food amazing different theme every night, only thing I would say is in the restaurant the place mats rubbery red ones they are not very attractive to the eye, I work in a dementia care home and they have the same in a 5 star hotel you expect more luxury attractive to the eye. This didn’t affect my stay at the hotel it’s just some feedback. The pool was great always clean and the sun beds were very good, there’s a beach within 5 min walk and a football pitch and volley ball court. There is always food whatever time of day, cocktails were nice. However, the cocktails were 90% alcohol and the rest juice or syrup, me and my boyfriend had to keep telling the staff to put less alcohol in. We done bingo one night and paid 5 euro for 1 strip and the prize was literally a souvenir mug there was only 2 prizes. And only played for 2 lines no full house or anything, I think everyone playing was quite disappointed. During my stay I had a massage with my boyfriend and it was great very relaxing the 2 guys doing the massages were very good. Overall, we would come back in the future, we did have a good time the staff are all amazing and friendly there was just small things that would make the experience 5 star. The sovereign beech is the only hotel we have returned to. We stayed there in September for the fourth year and we are going back in Oct for a week. The hotel as the best and politest staff we have had. The food in the restaurant is very nice you will always find something you will like. Can't wait to come back in Oct. If you have any problems go and see Alexandra at reception and she will try her best to sought things out. The two guys down at the pool bar ken& Sam will look after you all day. The staff in the restaurant will sort anything out for you.. Don't forget the eatery going towards the sea, the guy in there cooks some good burgers and gyros. Thanks

It is a fantastic hotel not far from Kardamaina welcoming staff friendly atmosphere rooms really spacious and clean food fantastic and just a wonderful hotel
Great experience once again , 5th time an gets better every year , food staff all amazing , angelo at the pool great guy , an Sam an Ken at the pool bar deserve a special mention , see u next year ☀️
Im currently at sovereign. Tomorrow is sadly my last day, but it has been a fantastic week. I wasn't sure I would get away as my father is in v bad health. I live with him and care for him, whilst working full time.
I could not have asked for a more perfect week. I really feel like ive finally relaxed for a while.
From the moment I arrived, the room was exactly as id booked, was lovely, and overlooking the pool and sea.
Everything you could need. Easy to get a sunbed, private beach area. You could virtually eat and drink all day, there was always something available. Im just sad I couldnt partake in everything on offer...I'm petite, so my tummy gave up before I wanted it to 😁
The staff are all super friendly. I didn't chat much with them all...I think as Im on my own I'm a bit more shy.
It is obviously more a 4* but what is on offer is still fabulous. I am struggling to understand the reviews saying they couldn't find anything to eat? 🤔 there was so much choice. I must admit, I would have liked to see some more greek specialities, stifado, saganaki, kleftiko etc...but wasn't a big deal, still lots of different dishes.
The entertainment team work hard, and there is always something to take part in, if that is what you like.
Kardemena is only a 20 minute walk, and I went most days to have a break from all the relaxation 😁
Im not sure if this will be my last holiday for quite some time, with dads health, but I know when I can get away again...I will come back here!
