This is a classic holiday resort set in one of the most unspoilt and picturesque regions of Greece, the island of Kos. Situated on the southern coast of Kos, about 2 km from Kardamena village, it embraces 75,000 m² of lush gardens, blended with the natural landscape of the island and more than 5 km of sandy beach, washed by the warm waters of the Aegean. Macedonia International Airport is about 27 km away.
This family club resort with tropical and peaceful surroundings features a harmonious blend of local style and modern architecture. It provides a lounge/satellite TV room, a bar, free wireless Internet access in all common areas and a bicycle rental facility. There are a total of 292 rooms at this club resort, which welcomes guests in the lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out services, a hotel safe and currency exchange facilities. The resort also features a children's playground and a kids' club.
The rooms are designed in bungalow-style and feature twin beds, air conditioning, an en suite bathroom with a bath or shower, a telephone, hairdryer, safety deposit box and either a balcony or terrace.
Guests are invited to take a dip in the outdoor salt-water swimming pool. Sun loungers with parasols are laid out ready for use, while the nearby beach is sandy. There are motorised water sports available, including waterskiing, windsurfing (licence required), jet skiing and parasailing. Guests can also hire mountain bikes or normal bicycles, as well as play pool or electronic games. The hotel regularly features live music and a child-care service is offered.
Pamper yourself with a visit to the spa, which offers massages, body treatments and facials. You can take advantage of recreational amenities such as a water slide, a steam room and bicycles to rent. Additional features at this property include complimentary wireless Internet access, an arcade/games room and tour/ticket assistance.
Hello to the lovely Porto Bello Beach team, We spent a week with you as a family. We had a wonderful time. Our children really enjoyed it—especially because chicken nuggets and fries were served every day! :) The food was delicious, and there was something for everyone. We would like to give huge praise to the entire service team. Despite the crowds, you were all very polite, helpful, and attentive—something not everyone manages to do. Children are especially welcome here. I work in the hospitality industry myself, so I know what goes into it; I was impressed by the joy and teamwork you displayed. ❤️ We would definitely recommend this hotel. Great family holiday – would definitely return
Firstly, a massive thank you to the reps Ruby, Daisy and Ruud, who were all brilliant. They couldn’t have been better friends to us throughout our holiday. They really went above and beyond and are a real credit to the hotel. A proper trio but it didn’t feel the same when Daisy was moved to the Royal. The lifeguard was also lovely, as were all the hotel staff we came across.
We stayed in a family room with a dividing door, which worked really well for us. The room was lovely, comfortable and very clean. The only downside was the lack of a plug socket near the mirror or bathroom mirror. If you want to use your own hairdryer or straighteners, you’ll be doing what my wife did and looking into your phone!
The pool was absolutely spotless, although the water is very salty and can sting your eyes. Our children, and a few other guests we spoke to, developed a bit of a rash after using the pool, so it may be worth bringing some antihistamines with you just in case.
Food was a real highlight. We’re vegetarian and were really impressed with the amount of choice available at the buffet. There was plenty to choose from and the quality was excellent. If you fancy eating out, Kardamena is only around a €10 taxi ride away and has some lovely restaurants.
The water park was great fun too. It was surprisingly quiet when we went, which meant we could enjoy everything without much queuing. Definitely worth a visit and the kids had a great time.
If entertainment is a big priority for you, I’d say this is probably not the strongest point of the hotel. There wasn’t a huge amount going on in the evenings, and we found it particularly strange that you had to pay €10 to play bingo!
We also tried the Italian à la carte restaurant. It was okay, but nothing special and nowhere near as impressive as the buffet in our opinion.
The beach, however, is fantastic. Beautiful sea, plenty of space to relax and the beach bar is a lovely place to grab a drink and chill out. We spent plenty of time down there.
Overall, we had a fantastic holiday. We met some lovely families, the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was excellent and the beach was beautiful.
Would we return? Absolutely. As our children get older, we might eventually look for somewhere with a bit more entertainment, but for a relaxing family holiday with great food, a beautiful beach and genuinely lovely staff, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We just spent a completely perfect 14-day stay (September 23 to October 07) at the Porto Bello Beach on Kos! We traveled as a family with two boys (1 and 4 years old) and had booked a family room. We were really pleasantly surprised by how large the room was at 36 square meters! It easily accommodated a double bed, two single beds, and a baby cot—and even then, we still had plenty of space. Equipped with two TVs and a large bathroom, it was super clean and, thanks to its ground-floor location, extremely practical with the children. The entire, spacious hotel complex is beautiful and exceptionally well-maintained. Everything was such a perfect fit that even the part of our family (grandparents, two aunts, and an uncle) who joined us later exactly as planned was absolutely thrilled. We truly had nothing worth mentioning to complain about! Special praise goes to the entire team, whose warmth made our holiday unforgettable. When we needed a bouquet of flowers from one day to the next, we were helped immediately—everything worked absolutely smoothly through the reception. The bouquet was delivered on time, brought directly to our room, and the payment was easily settled during check-out. The staff here, just like everywhere else, was always super friendly and helpful! In the buffet restaurant, the service lady Lira is an absolute gem. She has an incredibly warm nature, always spreads good vibes, and took fantastic care of our large group and the boys. You can really tell that she enjoys her job! This great service extends throughout the entire hotel: at the pool bar, Katerina and Frederic were always very nice, and at the beach bar, Janis and Christian were simply great—always in a good mood and very attentive. Not to forget the team at the lobby bar, who also did a fantastic job in the evenings! The entertainment program was also top-notch, very pleasant, friendly, and completely non-intrusive. The hotel also makes things super easy from an organizational standpoint: we booked a great boat trip right in the lobby through TUI. The great thing is that you can easily use this service even if you didn't book your holiday through TUI at all. You can also conveniently rent a car directly in the lobby. We also found the small supermarket in the hotel particularly practical, as it has absolutely everything from drugstore items and drinks to souvenirs. The food was varied and the beach was beautiful. The sea was absolutely pleasant and perfect for swimming at a wonderful 24–25 degrees! The hotel pool (saltwater) was quite fresh since it is not heated, but completely fine for us to cool off. Our kids still went into the children's pool to play every now and then. In the end, how cold you really find it is just a matter of personal preference. Great water sports activities like Jet Skiing are also offered directly on the beach for a fee, which was incredibly fun for us! The hotel's own slide park offered some really fun slides where the adults got their money's worth as well. Important for families: the big slides are only allowed for a body height of 1.20 meters and above (not even when accompanied by parents below that). For the smaller children under 1.20 meters, there was a very nice water playground, the main pool, and the entertaining Lazy River instead. During our stay, we also visited the nearby town of Kardamena. Getting there by public bus was super straightforward—it costs a mere 2 Euros per person and our children were completely free of charge. We took a taxi back for a very fair 10 Euros. Since it wasn't crowded at all, we were able to enjoy a very relaxed stroll. After two perfect weeks, we will definitely be back and can recommend this hotel to any family from the bottom of our hearts!
