Mitsis Summer Palace

DO NOT GO HERE! €50 was stolen from my boyfriends wallet ( which was zipped up and put away in a backpack) by a housekeeper. Reception didn’t want to help and said we couldnt be compensated but when I threatened to call police suddenly they offered us free experiences eg cabana for the day. We got free late checkout after asking 3 times but they kept telling us “it’s only €50” …

Food is absolutely appalling at the main buffet/resturant. Do not eat here! We heard multiple guests say they got sick. The one time we did eat there almost every guest left the table without touching their food, which we also did because it was disgusting.

Almost every night we had to go out to eat in Kardamena. We went to The Med once and the food was okay but took an hour to get desserts. All reviews about food and service are true so please beware.

Room was gorgeous as well as the hotel grounds so if you want to go here for visuals only id recommend this hotel.

We had absolutely the best holiday ever from the moment that we checked in and the reception team with Philippe, Dea, Christina Spiros, and Teodora they just made it so special.

Our room was beautiful. We had a small pool and a gorgeous balcony looking at the sea.

In the med restaurant, Alexis, the captain was so kind and sweet and went out of his way to make sure that we had a wonderful meal. Similarly the bartender Ahmad made all the best drinks with a huge smile.

This holiday went above and beyond anything that we expected and hoped for. The staff really wanted to make sure that everyone was having a great time and would check in to see if they could make our experiencebetter in anyway.

Thank you so much to everybody that we encountered on our holiday even if I didn’t name them here you’ve made this a trip that we will never forget.

One of the coolest things about this hotel is even though it’s really, really big the architecture or the layout makes it feel really cozy and small.The pools are located in different parts of the property so every pool that just has a few people around it you are not fighting for lounge chairs. It’s absolute perfection.

I am so sad to be leaving but already counting the days until next year when I can come back again and for a longer time this time thank you again Mitsis Summer Palace team!!

Location - not in walking distance to shops or restaurants, however there’s regular buses to different towns. We went to Old Town for one day which was lovely. Rooms - We had a sea view room, very spacious, clean, beautiful view. Room comes with kettle, coffee pod machine, fridge which gets topped up everyday with cans, beers, wine & water. Pools - there’s a few small pools dotted around near room blocks. The main infinity pool was lovely over looking the sea. We had to be there around 8am to get beds. Beach - plenty of beds, got busier by late morning/lunch. Beach has an all inclusive drinks bar, snack bar & pizza dome for fresh slices of pizza which we loved. Food - main restaurant (NOT BUFFET) all done by set menu. We were disappointed the main restaurant wasn’t your usual buffet which is what you’d expect with all inclusive. The set menu is the same everyday, lunch & dinner! Meals were also limited so got very boring especially if you only liked a few of their dishes. Breakfast was the only time they done buffet. There’s 3 restaurants dotted around the accommodation which you need to book (online or with their staff). Our favourite was the Med restaurant. Their dinner was lovely with lots of choices and delicious pizza. Breakfast & brunch was the best there. Their staff were so friendly and made sure our drinks were topped up! The 2 other restaurants we didn’t try as it’s not our taste, however I heard they’re both also nice. One’s more your Japanese/sushi style. And the other you cook your own meat. Overall we had a fantastic time, loved the hotel and views, staff were very friendly but disappointed about the food not being buffet, set menu limited and same all week (even though they had a Monday-Wednesday & a Thursday-Sunday separate menu but both the exact same!). Would we come back? Yes.
