Our Ultra-All-Inclusive concept of food and drinks available 24 hours a day in one of our restaurants and bars, will remain the same. Any guest who prefers not to have daily room cleaning, must inform reception staff upon arrival. Activities requiring team sports such as football, basketball, water polo, etc. will be prohibited. All additional safety measures which will be introduced must be followed by both guests and employees.
Dip into one of the 2 outdoor swimming pools or enjoy other recreational amenities including outdoor tennis courts and a water slide. Additional features at this Mediterranean hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and an arcade/games room.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We had an enjoyable week at Akti Beach Club. All the staff are very hard working, kind and helpful. The lovely housekeeping lady worked very hard keeping our room clean for us all week. The staff member who works hard at the hotel beach bar every day makes lovely fresh burgers, hot dogs and chips quickly and with a smile! The restaurant staff deserve special praise for producing such lovely food in very hot and uncomfortable conditions.
There are a few things regarding our stay at Akti which might be of benefit for both the Hotel and future guests.
The first is the noise from the electrical generator. We fully appreciate that an outage of the mains power supply is beyond the control of the Hotel and it is excellent that the Hotel can avoid any disruption to guests by utilising its own generator. However we were all woken up with a big shock when the generator started running at 6am on the morning of 20th August! The generator is almost directly opposite our room 920 and is incredibly loud. We did not know what it was and were worried. Perhaps, if guests are allocated a room directly affected by the noise of the generator, the reception staff could warn guests at the time of check-in of the possibility that the generator may start up at any time when there is a mains power outage and state that it is very loud but is nothing to worry about.
Secondly we noticed from the terrace of room 920 that there are 6 windows in the restaurant building directly opposite. Of these windows, 4 of are clear glass and 2 further down are obscure. There is a staff area adjacent to 2 of the clear windows and the other 2 clear windows are part of the restaurant for guests. It felt invasive that we could be seen (watched!) through these windows when in our room and we had to remember to fully close the curtains to maintain privacy. It would be more comfortable for guests staying in the rooms opposite the rear of the restaurant if all of those windows were obscured. Alternatively guests could be warned of the situation at check-in if they are allocated rooms in block 918-921 and perhaps given the opportunity to decide whether or not they are comfortable with it or offered an alternative room.
We were very surprised to discover there is no proper air conditioning in either the Hotel lobby or the restaurant. The heat in the restaurant is extreme and uncomfortable which detracts from the experience of eating the beautiful food produced. Investment in full air conditioning in the restaurant will be so beneficial for the staff and guests alike.
One of the best things about the hotel was the Remarc International Entertainment Team. Led by Charmaine, the whole team comprising of Spider-Man, Julianna, Clinton, Ola, Celina, Kevin, Antonia, Marlon, Mabrouke and Salvador were amazing. Their evening shows were brilliant, most are professional dancers and it shows. Clinton’s Michael Jackson Thriller routine was brilliant. It a shame that the Italian entertainment team had to take part in the shows because to be honest, the Bravo team were not great!
Hotel is not a 5 star, however it is a nice hotel and very good value for money. The food is really good with lots of options. There are things that could be improved like new towels etc, however the positives way out the negatives. Would I come back YES.
Great stay Room old and small but everything else was great Beach small but lovely next to see Adult only area where we ate and drank Entertainment was ok on every night Staff were so friendly Shuttle bus to village was great for a walk and change of scenery Will definitely go back
i really loved the dances at the pool and also marion was really kind to me and my sister we hope to come back again and see her again she was really fun to hang around with
Pools.
We opened our patio doors and walked right to a private pool. There is an adults only area pool. There is an entertainment pool. There is a child’s pool. There is a pool for swimming. There is a private beach in which you can swim. Nobody can moan about these.
Room.
Modern (very modern for Greece). Air con exceptional (especially for Greece). Fridge with stocked mini bar (included in your all inclusive). Room was small but clean. Cannot complain here either.
Hotel grounds.
Well maintained. Kids club could do with some updating but overall pretty decent. You’ll like it. Easy to get around and plenty to do.
Food.
It’s 24 hours. Main restaurant serves good stuff. Kids pool bar has pretty bad food but a short walk to private beach beach bar the lad cooks it all fresh to order. Excellent quality.
Private beach.
Nice touch but don’t hang your hat on it - you can sunbathe but you can’t go in the water - it’s 100% slippy rocks - not worth the broken ankle. But.. treat it as a nice walk to break up your day along the sand. Unbelievable beach is 5 mins in a taxi or 10 mins on the free shuttle bus.
Entertainment.
Well have a 3 year old. Chamaine who runs the entertainment made my daughter feel like a complete celebrity. The amount of time she spent with her without being prompted to do so was heart warming. My daughter was so happy every time she spoke with or danced with her. So nice.
Town.
Free bus, regular and on time. Day and night. Excellent
