Dimitra Beach Hotel & Suites has renovated all its public areas and rooms 2015-2019 to now be a cozy and modern hotel. In approximately 70.000 m2 of land, covered with marvelous gardens, the Resort consists of the main building, the annex building that features the Club Suites and 5 more blocks of bungalows near the private beach.

Relax at the full-service spa, where you can enjoy massages, body treatments and facials. After dipping into one of the 3 outdoor swimming pools, you can spend some time at the private beach. This hotel also features complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and an arcade/games room. Getting to nearby attractions is a breeze with the local area shuttle (surcharge).
As a couple in their late 20s staying here for our honeymoon, we wanted nice views, lovely staff, great food, big clean room, comfy sun beds and pure relaxation and that is exactly what we got! For this reason, we genuinely can’t complain and we had a gorgeous 11 days just being together and switching off.
We had a private transfer from Kos airport late in the evening, it took 45 mins. When we arrived the reception staff were very welcoming, we had a glass of Prosecco on arrival and were directed to the restaurant for some late food, although this was a limited selection, there is food! And as 11:00pm we were quite happy to just have some bread and cheese.
We had a junior suite with sea view. A bottle of bubbly and platter of fruit was waiting in our room for us. We had been given a ground floor room and for us on a special trip, we were would rather not have been. One phone call later the next day they had sorted us a room higher up. Beds are huge and so comfy, super king I think. The room is so spacious, air con was brilliant, showers were hot and powerful. Mini fridge stocked daily with cans and bottled water. Towels replaced everyday. Only criticism for the room is the curtains really need to be blackout as we had the blue glow from the pool lights all night and then when the sun came up. But this didn’t affect us really!
Staff are all absolutely wonderful, hard working, polite, smiley people. Couldn’t fault them. Giorgios (hospitality/floor manager) who was completely unaware it was our honeymoon, sat us along the front of the restaurant with the view every single night without fail. He is a stern faced man, but a very kind soul and genuinely wanted to chat and get to know us. He has been there 23 years and you can tell. He knows the ins and outs and makes the restaurant floor run like clockwork. His team were fast, friendly, didn’t stop- like at all! On our last day we told him it was a special trip and he didn’t want us to leave empty handed, offering us a little gift box and well wishes for our future.
This leads me on to the food. Which we loved! Different options every night and obviously the usual options that stay the same throughout the week. We ate very well, and we ate lots! Salads are lovely. The gyros at the Thalassi were a highlight for us. Breakfast never missed, eggs all cooked fresh! Mexican night is great too!
Lots of choice for pools, sunbed service for drinks is infrequent but nice when they do come round! We didn’t mind getting our own in between. Snack bar with pizza and Greek salad bowls was good.
Cocktails were nice but a little hit and miss depending who makes them. The girls serving in the bar where the entertainment is were amazing, it’s all table service and you never waited too long.
One thing we couldn’t believe is how quiet and peaceful the place was considering how booked up they were. Barely any queues, we always got a sunbed, always got a table. No noise at night when sleeping (unless the cleaners were moving tables on the balconies at 7am when preparing rooms). Everyone was so spread out it was lovely.
Beach is stoney, but we were prepared to this. Bring beach shoes! And snorkels! Loads of fish just off the shore. I saw a lion fish and an octopus!
Guest relations provided us with a complimentary couples massage and a late check out on the last day, as well as an optional upgrade to a premium junior suite part way through, but we were very settled in our room! So thank you for this 🫶🏻
Overall we had the best 11 days and it met all our expectations. Ticked all the boxes we had and we would return. Only reason for the 4 star rating is I have been to 5 star places that just have those extras that go a long way and really make somewhere feel luxury and top of the scale!
Back again from another visit, and it is still amazing, from the friendliness of the staff to the cleanliness of the rooms. Nothing is too much trouble, even though this is a big hotel you wouldn’t know and is very peaceful. Food is great and the cocktails are amazing, it’s one of the only hotels that I have actually enjoyed the evening entertainment. The big plus for this hotel is the staff who are all incredibly kind and amazing at their jobs, with special thanks to Ronaldo in the Greek restaurant, Lili and Alex at the main bar and Yaser in the main restaurant. The person that really does stand out is George, he never seems to stop and went out the way to make my stay the best it could be.
It's probably a bit early to do a full review as we've only been here 24 hours, but wow what a 24 hours. The staff all amazing, great drinks menu with decent branded spirits and the buffet food for someone who doesn't like Buffet is superb. Excellent quality well presented and hot. We booked this hotel based on the images of the sun lounges all having thick cushions so you lay comfortably in the Sun. They are so comfortable they would put many Hotel mattresses to Shame. At 8am in the morning not a single towel reserving beds. Entertainment last night was three guys singing to backing tracks which the crowd enjoyed and danced along with. Nothing negative to say at all... It's brilliant.
A truly memorable experience staying at the Dimitra Beach Hotel & Suites. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel special, we were late arriving due to flight delay (0:30am). On arrival, Arthur on the reception desk made us feel very welcome ask us to relax, go get a drink and something to eat, "your holiday has started" while he did the booking in. The room was super clean, with our bags delivered. The staff were super friendly, from pool attendants, waiters, cleaners, bar staff and reception they couldn't do enough for you it really made the holiday. plenty of lovely food with speciality restaurants which we tried. The evening entertainment was great got you up on the dance floor and wanted you to have a great time, which we did. I don't normally do reviews but we had such a lovely relaxing time away I just had to send my compliments, a credit to the management 11/10.

This hotel is very nice, I am fairly well travelled and have stayed in many 5 star hotels also. I wouldn’t say it’s the British 5 star but if you accept the Greek way then they could regard it as 5 star (in my opinion).
Special mentions to Dennis at the swim up bar and also Christina, fabulous young staff who thoroughly make your day special. Lilly (waitress) and Mark (cocktail maker) at the Veravda bar, always so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble and Marks attention to detail in his cocktails make him a pro! At dinner Jose was always exceptional, very sweet and accommodating. Finally, Christopher on reception sorted a minor issue very efficiently, thank you Christopher (I’m confident that if anyone had an issue to complain about that reception would sort it). Overall, ALL staff were superb, we didn’t meet one member of staff who didn’t look happy and didn’t want to make our holiday a great one!
Facilities: everything you could want and need, however it’s a little isolated, this suited us but if we wanted to venture out there were accessible transport links. The food was great, no complaints, something to please everyone, would highly recommend the Italian ‘Cucina’ and Teresa in there was also exceptional. The rooms are clean, comfortable and modern with beautiful views of the ocean and the resort. The only critique from us was the £15 per night tourist tax upon arrival, there was no warning of it and so could sting if you had 10 nights and 2 rooms. All in all, it was a wonderful holiday and I would definitely return to this hotel in the future. Thank you to ALL the staff at Dimitra Beach Hotel, Kos!
