The comfortable and cosy Mirabel Hotel enjoys a great location directly on Valianou square, the central square of Argostoli, the capital of the island of Kefalonia. It features a rooftop terrace with wonderful views over the sea and the bay. The historic shopping street Lithostroto as well as the historic and folk museums, the “Kefalos” theatre, the civic centre and all of the major banks are within walking distance. The ferry to Killini on mainland Greece can be reached within a 3 minutes' walk. This city hotel is a great starting point to discover the Ionian island of Kefalonia.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The Mirabel is a nice little city centre hotel and worth a try if staying in the area. The plus points 1; Good location just off the main square and 200m from the town main shops and the harbour for the boats and turtles 2; The staff are lovely and very helpful especially Lefarious or Lefty and the Lady on reception. 3; Great Aircon 4; Breakfasts are good quality but very limited selection 5; Lots of restaurants nearby. The not so good points. 1; The hotel doors slam and are noisy and on a Friday and Saturday we experienced loud music from a nearby bar/club until the early hours. 2; The beds are very firm 3; Breakfast area is very small and gets congested when busy 3; Rooms are a little dated. None of the points I’ve just mentioned take away the fact it’s a nice hotel in a nice location with lovely staff.
Perfectly located hotel, in walking distance of shops, restaurants, turtle viewing, Da Bosset Bridge. Really enjoyed our stay here, room had plenty of space and a lovely view. The staff were very friendly and our room was ready early which was fantastic after a 3am start to our travelling day.! Would stay here again….. oh and the breakfast was lovely ☺️
A simply exceptional stay in every way!
We couldn't have asked for a better holiday in Kefalonia! Hotel Mirabel exceeded all our expectations, starting from its fantastic location right in the central square. It is perfectly situated close to the port, making it super convenient for boat trips, excursions, and the ferry to Lixouri, while also being right by the bus stop and Lithostroto, the main pedestrian street. The room was spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable, and featured a lovely little terrace where we could relax.
A heartfelt thank you goes to the entire staff—incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional. I am truly sorry I can't remember everyone's names, as each of them made our stay special. However, I must give a special mention to Roza at breakfast: a sweet and lovely person who delighted us every morning with an exceptional and delicious breakfast! A huge thank you also goes to the boss, Jerry: a wonderful person who went above and beyond with rare kindness, even taking us to the airport. I am absolutely thrilled with this experience and will recommend this hotel to everyone. When I return to Kefalonia, I will definitely stay here again!
We have just returned from a 7 night stay here and could not fault it. Everyone we came face to face with could not do enough to help and always had a warm welcome and smile. Rosa prepares an amazing breakfast spread each morning which sets you up for the day. The housekeeping team do a wonderful job also- are room was spotless and replenished each day! The hotel is in a perfect location to explore from and where as I do understand previous comments regarding noise i don’t think you can escape the night life of Argostoli wherever you are so bare this in mind as a whole when you choose which part of the island you stay. It however didn’t bother us and i am a very light sleeper in general.
Does the job Not the biggest room , and was right next to the noisiest corner of the main square .Decent breakfast , bed to sleep on ,air con and did the job required .Great location.
