Called for brunch , used to be a favourite haunt on our holiday in kefalonia. Been here loads of times . What’s changed ? Shocking service , infact no service , we waited ages for a waiter . When one did come out they served people next to us then went back inside despite us going into the hotel to ask to be served . Won’t return .
We had a beautiful superior seaside view room, which was clean and comfortable. The reception staff were exceptional. Angeliki, Cassandra and Georgia always greeted us and made us feel welcome. They provided us useful tips on tours, restaurants and things to do. The hotel is in a good location and you can do tours and see other parts of the island.
Absolutely amazing. Service and the hotel were 11/10 . Located in the best spot, the rooms were nice, the hotel itself and restaurant amazing! First time to kefalonia and did not disappoint. Big shout out to Cassandra and Georgia at reception who went out of their way to help me !

Nothing seems too much trouble, and their willingness to help, advise and quietly ensure that everything is as it should be adds something truly special to the experience. Then, as evening falls over Argostoli, another chapter begins. The restaurant comes alive, the harbour lights begin to shimmer, and among the evening team are two people who deserve a very special place in any story about this hotel: Makis and Marietta. There is something wonderfully effortless about the way they work together. Makis, a local son of Argostoli, carries himself with a calm assurance and quiet dignity, while Marietta brings her own warmth and radiant personality from Patras. Together, they create the kind of service that cannot simply be taught — it comes from character. They notice the small things. They remember. They smile. And somehow, without ever making it feel like an effort, they transform dinner into an occasion. So, for two people who brought such warmth to our evenings, a little tribute seemed only fitting.

As twilight settles softly over Argostoli, And harbour lights begin to glow, Makis walks with quiet elegance, Calm and assured, moving gently to and fro.
A son of Kefalonia, born beneath Those endless Ionian skies, He carries the warmth of his island In the kindness behind his eyes.
And beside him, Marietta, From beautiful Patras she came, With a smile that could brighten an evening, And a warmth that lives up to her name.
Together they glide through the restaurant, With effortless rhythm and grace, Plates held high, attentive and smiling, Bringing warmth to every table and place.
There is an art to wonderful service, An elegance money cannot buy, It lives in the smallest gestures, In the welcoming smile and the watchful eye.
And Makis and Marietta possess it — That rare and beautiful gift, The ability to make an evening brighter, And turn an ordinary moment into something uplifting.
So here’s to the two who made evenings At The Kefalonia Grand shine bright, Two wonderful souls whose warmth and care Made every dinner feel just right.

Wow just back from an amazing week at this beautiful hotel. Our room was amazing over looking the sea and all the boats. The staff were all so welcoming and friendly- cleanliness was just an absolute 10 out of 10 - thank you for an amazing holiday- we will definitely be booking again for next year 👏
