Set in the green hills of Mount Athos, Akrathos Beach HoteI in Ouranoupoli Village, features a swimming pool and a children's pool. It offers accommodations with a balcony. Facilities include a fitness center and a restaurant. Reflecting the monasteries in architecture and style, the beach hotel Akrathos offers spacious and carefully decorated rooms with mini fridge and satellite TV. Some units have a sea view. In Akrathos Beach Hotel guests will also find a variety of bars at the pool, main building and the beach, a restaurant and traditional tavern, a jewelry shop and a supermarket. Greek breakfast is served daily in the dining area. Other facilities include billiards and table tennis. Water sports, as well as volleyball games are organized on the beach. Α free WiFi hotspot is also available on the beach.

Our stay at Akrathos Beach Hotel in early September was fabulous! Although it is a little remote, with a two hour bus transfer from Thessaloniki airport, it contains everything you need when you arrive. The hotel is kept very clean and tidy. The staff are cheery, friendly, helpful, attentive and polite. They are also well trained and dealt effectively with a medical emergency while we were there. The food was very tasty and there was a good variety, catering for all needs. They had two themed nights which were great, a Greek night and a Mexican night. The pool is simply fantastic! Swimming in the cool refreshing water (perfect temperature) overlooking the bay and neighbouring island is a lovely experience. The beach too is kept clean and the water is clear (excellent visibility and no jellyfish!) . We enjoyed spending time snorkelling, watching the fish going about their business. There are sufficient sunbeds available. We were lucky to have a room overlooking the bay and were able to watch the sun go down from our balcony. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning was appreciated, as was the key for the safe received upon check-in. The onsite shop was welcome and there were plenty of activities/entertainment options available. In short, we found everything we needed here for a week of pure relaxation. It was everything we hoped for and, therefore, we found it to be extremely good value for money. Cannot think of anything we would change, although it is further away if you wish to go on trips during your stay. We were more than content to stay onsite for a week. I did have to use mosquito repellent and on occasion the other guests were a little noisy at night but this did not last for long. Very happy to recommend this hotel!
Beautiful location. Great for a quiet beach or pool holiday.this is our second visit and we loved it as much as the first. Warm and friendly atmosphere. We were greeted by Marina and Tanya at reception. Our room was lovely and clean with a wonderful view of the pool and beach. Evgenia looked after our room and sorted extra pillows for my husband. They have made new seating areas and shaded areas since last year which is great. We had great service from Antonia,Vivi, Andreas and Violeta at the beach bar. Pizza is fantastic, we don't always want to go back to the hotel for lunch. Konstantin and Roman kept the main bar flowing. Waitresses are attentive and clear plates for you. Antonia is fantastic and always on the good. Always a good selection of food , especially greek night. Moussaka is superb. Mary and Aristides looked after us at the pool bar they were always friendly and really wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We had some great chats with Aristides, when time allowed. Dmitry, the life guard was fantastic, he really helped my husband when he slipped. Edouardo is fantastic. I have never come across a manager who puts so much effort into making sure everyone is happy. He talks to everyone and does his best to ensure everyone enjoys their stay. This hotel has a lovely atmosphere.
My partner and myself returned from this hotel two days ago. This hotel is in no way a 4 Star hotel! We were lucky enough to have been upgraded to a junior suite when we arrived as many people were complaining about there rooms, lights not working, sockets not working, extremely small and nothing like the pictures so therefore not what they expected. For anyone with any kind of mobility problems be aware everything is up a steep slope or involves many steps. We travel around four times a year and I have to say that honestly this is one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in. We were supposed to be all inclusive however, any food from the poolside bar is chargeable, the cocktails are made in batches and provided only in thin disposable cups unless you pay to have one made, which then comes in a plastic glass. Ice cream’s etc are all chargeable. There was entertainment on two nights only during our 7 day stay! The food in the buffet restaurant is the worst we have ever experienced, always either luke warm or cold. When we asked one of the chefs for a fresh fried egg he was making he refused point blank and pointed to a tray full of cold snotty eggs, we complained but it didn’t change anything. The choice of food was extremely poor and if you have children there is very little for them. The staff in the Buffett restaurant or behind the counters are extremely rude and unhelpful, it’s clear to see they don’t want to be there! There dress in particular foot wear was horrendous, filthy trainers and they wiped tables with the same clothes during each sitting without the use of any disinfectant type spray. Numerous people were ill in bed for days with upset stomachs. If you required a drink in the Buffett restaurant you had to queue for it and fresh orange for example was like coloured water at best. We did also witness a 10 year old being served with glasses of wine in the Buffett restaurant. I would say to anyone considering a stay at this hotel to think hard before parting with your hard earned cash. I will be writing directly to the CEO of Jet2 with our concerns as I believe recommending this hotel as part of there offerings is damaging to the reputation of Jet2 who I use for 90% of my trips.
A truly great hotel in a fantastic location with direct access to a beautiful, spacious beach. We enjoyed a very relaxing family holiday and felt comfortable throughout our stay. The modern rooms and the well‑maintained hotel grounds were especially impressive. As all‑inclusive guests, we were very satisfied with the food – good variety and consistently tasty dishes. The beach is easy to reach, large, and offers plenty of loungers included in the all‑inclusive package, so finding a nice spot was never an issue.
A beautiful hotel with an incredible view! The buffet was delicious, with a great variety of food and desserts, and the rooms were very clean. The staff was extremely polite and friendly. We will definitely choose you again!
