Perfect stay in Ammoa: We have been welcomed very warmly by reception team and special thanks to Dimitria for her detailed explanations about the hotel. Also thanks to Roman for his assistance with our luggage and room directions. Our room was very very nice with sea view and pool, while i am enjoying my coffee on the sunbed, at the same time my daughter swimming in front of me, so everyone is happy:) Rooms is so big and freshly decorated, very clean and comfortable. They changed the bed sheets regularly and changed the towels every day. A special thanks to dear Christina and all the housekeeping team. Also need to mention that air conditioning was perfect, not so cold not so warm just the way youwant it. Beach area and the sea was amazing, can’t get enough… beach pool bar was quick with the orders. Breakfast and dinner were delicious with lots of options. A speacial thanks to Vaso in the restaurant for her attention and suggestion. I strongly advise to have a massage treatment from Elefteria and Danae, it was amazing! Also soap making workshop was so nice that we attended twice:) Overall it was a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. Will definitely want to come back next year with our friends and family, more crowded:) So see you soon dear ammoa team next season with new episodes!

Lovely hotel with great staff who were incredibly welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. The hotel is clean overall, has a great beachfront location, and our room came with a lovely private swimming pool, which was clean and used every day. Lovely kids room and thanks for Mel who made a great effort with our 3 year old.
The buffet dinner was good, with good amount of choice, although it’s worth noting that the half-board option only includes the dinner buffet no credit off la carte. One downside for us, especially when travelling with a young child, was that there isn’t a children’s lunch menu so doesnt really cater for them. Our little one had to order a full adult sized meal, which was quite expensive and far more food than a small child would need. Great pizza for lunch!
The main area I would suggest improving is the room cleaning. Unfortunately, it wasn’t always done very well, and had to keep reminding them to give us towels for 3 people, and on some days the cleaning was very latez As we were travelling with a young child who had a nap around 2pm, our room still hadn’t been cleaned by then. If you have a preferred time for your room to be cleaned, I would recommend speaking to reception in advance.
Another important area for improvement is the hotel’s approach to sustainability and protecting the beautiful sea and beach surrounding it. I had to pick up a considerable amount of plastic from the hotel’s private beach and put it in the bin myself. The hotel should do more to keep the beach clean and prevent plastic waste from reaching the sea. For example, straws were provided wrapped in individual plastic packaging, and when this packaging is blown away by the wind, it can easily end up in the ocean. There also did not appear to be any recycling facilities anywhere in the hotel. Given the beautiful natural environment, I strongly encourage the hotel to adopt more sustainable practices, reduce unnecessary single use plastic and introduce clearly labelled recycling bins. The kids area should be improved. Really disappointing with the organisation of the events in the evening, they put notices up everywhere about events in the evening but the timings were all off and the singers decided whenever they want to start so we arrived on timw with our 3 year old who really wanted to watch and had to sit and wait45 mins until the singers finished chit chatting and decided to start. This happend a couple of nights and when we mentioned it to the reception staff they just aaid we can sit and wait snd they will start.
The reception and guest relations staff, were great. They were helpful with organising taxis for us, and we also booked a luxury boat trip through the hotel. I highly recommend using the boat company they work with — we were genuinely surprised by the excellent price, beautiful boat and fantastic staff. It was one of the highlights of our trip.
Overall, I would personally rate this hotel as a 4star experience I think it is probably one of the best options in the region, particularly as it isn’t an area with a large number of luxury hotels to choose from. With improvements to the room cleaning, more child- friendly food options and a stronger commitment to sustainability, it could be even better.
Nothing is more important for a family than making memories that remain forever and spending our summer in Ammoa was the best choice we did in 2026
This is our second time and it was amazing again. There is no any hotel like Ammoa in Chalkidiki.
