Home after a really lovely week at hotel Medusa. The whole family work so hard keeping the guests happy, the hotel is simple but beautiful it has everything you need. Location is great , you can do as little or as much as you like. Short taxi rides can take you to other villages close by and plenty of other beaches to see. I recommend the sunshine boat trip, it was great and stops off at a stunning little village, a whole day trip 9-5 . Swimming pool was always clean and despite being busy never had an issue finding a bed - only issue for us was a week wasn't enough
Well what can i say but heartbroken to be home. This hotel is small, basic but you are treated like family, Daphne and her Family work tirelessly to ensure your stay is nothing but the best. Nothing is a problem and their knowledge is 2nd to none. Their recommendations are great and they try out all restaurants before they recommend. The rooms are basic but what do you need, a hot shower a comfy bed, a fridge and a balcony !! Definitely recommend paying for the aircon in August. Will definately be back. Thanks Athos and Victoria (the Greeks !)
We loved our stay at Hotel Medusa. The family who run it made us feel completely at home — warm, welcoming, and brilliant with young children. Our little one settled in straight away, and the whole place has that safe, relaxed atmosphere that makes travelling with young kids genuinely easy.
Our room was basic but very functional, and the balcony views over the sea were absolutely stunning.
And a special shout‑out to the poolside mojitos — absolutely incredible and the perfect treat while watching the day drift by.
A calm, friendly hotel with a true family feel. Ideal for parents with young children. We’d happily return.
What an amazing two weeks we had there. We loved it so much last time, we recently went for our honeymoon . The family run hotel is clean and very welcoming . The room was very comfortable with fantastic views . Restaurants locally have lots to offer and we ate like a King and Queen at very good prices. Hotel Medusa - highly recommended ❤️
Recently returned from a great 10 days there with extended family (17, age range 79 - 8); an ideal choice for our purposes. We cannot speak too highly of the welcoming, friendly, helpful, supportive, generous family members who own and run it; highly recommended for anyone wanting a good simple fun family holiday. The pool is great, not overly busy and no issues over lounger availability. Rooms are simple but clean and appropriate/suited to the climate and type of holiday offered; self-catering facilities are limited but fine for everyday snacking and the occasional main meal in. Air conditioning at E7 euros a day (money well spent for us) and local tourist tax E5 a day per room. Bar area overlooking the pool is comfortable and a good size, limited menu but good quality food, well presented and very reasonably priced - drinks too. Breakfasts very good, wide choice with healthy options. Local shops nearby, all essentials and more; lots of choice for places to eat and drink. The hotel is peaceful, on a hill going down from the main road to the nearest beach. Although the town is a short uphill walk (100 yards or so) away, the hill is quite steep and perhaps not ideal for anyone with significant limited mobility. The walk down to the beach continues quite steep in places but fine for most; limited free minibus shuttles back up are available to customers from the main beach bar. A good bus service runs along the main road, linking main towns in both directions - affordable fares with around 2 hours frequency albeit not always to timetable. Taxis are also available although lacking UBER's accessibility/affordability. Car etc hire is close by. Main towns and beaches are quite busy, but quieter places are available, requiring independent transport. Best value full day boat trips we found were from a stand at Pefkohori beach, near the lighthouse pier, Pantelis Daily Cruises - transfers provided to Paliouri; a really very good day out at E30 adults E18 children and much cheaper than offered through the tour rep.
