Exceptional hotel! Super restaurants, especially loved the Asian, with attentive staff in all of them. Ultra all inclusive is amazing. Had the best time, thank you to everyone at the hotel for making it special!
This is our fifth year staying at an Ikos resort, but our first time at Ikos Olivia. As expected, the Ikos standard was every bit as high as at the other two resorts we’ve stayed at, and we were not let down.
We stayed in a deluxe two-bedroom bungalow by the pool. It’s a significant investment, but it’s the one holiday we look forward to all year — a genuine week of total relaxation. The food variety and quality, from the buffet to the à la carte restaurants, was exceptional as always, and the staff and waiters around the deluxe pool worked incredibly hard while staying unfailingly friendly. A special mention to Agapi in the Garden restaurant, who was kind and accommodating.
The absolute highlight, though, was Effie, our daughter’s swimming instructor. She was completely wonderful — warm, friendly, and she put our daughter at ease from the very first lesson. Our daughter had both mermaid and swimming lessons with her and loved every single minute, to the point where she wanted a lesson with Effie every day. Effie’s patience, playfulness, and knack for building a child’s confidence in the water made a real difference to our daughter’s enjoyment of the whole holiday. We honestly cannot recommend her more highly — if you’re travelling with children who are learning to swim, ask for Effie.
We’ll definitely be returning to Ikos, though we might explore one of the other resorts next time. Either way, Ikos Olivia delivered exactly what we’ve come to expect: relaxation, brilliant food, and outstanding staff — with Effie the true star of our stay.
We spent a week at this resort with a 4 year old child. The service is beyond exceptional. The staff cannot do more to help you (across the board). As an example, we left our keycard by the pool and I went to ask if they had found, which they had not. They did not send me to reception, rather insisted I sat down, offered a drink and had a fresh card brought to me in 5 mins. The whatsapp butler service is hugely efficient (expect a response in minutes). Food is really excellent, with plenty of health options. The kids club is very well run, our daughter never usually stays at these, but was very happy with this one. She also had several private swimming lessons at the pool with the brilliant Effie. Originally it was one lesson, but ultimately she had five. We rented a self-drive boat, which was great. They give a short lesson and ensure you have everything you need onboard. A few points to note: 1) we had paid extra for a sea view suite, upon check-in, there was no view of the sea. The team did deal with this and change it a couple of days later, but it required some pushing 2) there was a powercut for a few hours, backup generators at the resort do not power A/C, 3) you must be deluxe to get restaurant reservations every night...so be prepared to eat at the buffet if you are not deluxe
Once again thanks to all of the wonderful staff for a fabulous holiday. We have been going to Ikos Oliva every year since 2015 (except Covid) and enjoy ourselves just as much every time we go. We are definitely returning next June/July and just about to book in the next few days. All of the staff are exceptional and it is impossible to name them all because a lot of the work is behind the scenes so a special shout out to the gardeners who work tirelessly in amazing temperatures and keep the grounds immaculate, also the cleaning staff and housekeeping for keeping everything spotless The bar staff, waiters/waitresses, reception staff and not to forget the chefs who produce amazing dishes in all of the restaurants. Members of the management team that we found really helpful and most accommodating were, Athina, Dimitris, Skerdi, Niki, George, Theano, Fotini. We feel that we got really friendly with them all and they treated us like family. Nothing was too much trouble for them and made the holiday fantastic again.
This is the second time my family and I have visited Ikos Olivia and once again it did not disappoint. We were incredibly well looked after by all the Ikos Olivia team. Special shout outs and mentions must go to Anna Kalaitzidou for her amazing attention to detail and checking in with us to ask how are stay was and whether there was anything more she or her team could do to help. Also Amarildo Disha was amazing in moving us to a new room during our stay which was extra special and really ended our holiday on a high. We are looking forward to staying again next year.
